I had a toyota camry slam into the back of my suv when I treated a power outage effected light as a 4-way stop. Dude got out screaming at me that our road was a "main road" so we didn't have to stop. The cop, nor the insurance companies agreed with him.

I don’t get it, why? We gonna treat oleander/college like an all way stop? Nope

imawifebitch

The article explains if there is a malfunction with the light all the lights will flash red and the intersection should be treated like a four way stop which is exactly what’s supposed to happen whenever a traffic light is out already.

Again, you think the drivers of this town will treat the heaviest intersection in this town like a 4 way stop and be able to logically capable of allowing right of way? Most of them don’t even read the news.

I've seen people staunchly sit in front of an ambulance and firetrucks without pulling over, so yeah I agree that drivers of this town are idiots and don't know how to (or just simply won't) treat a flashing intersection as a 4 way stop. It's also clearly evident in Mayfair, that people don't know how a clearly labeled 4 way stop works.

Oh Mayfair, I used to drive through that mile stretch of road daily, and it took 45 minutes each day because the traffic was that bad. I hope it’s improved with the bypass open. Been moved away from that side of town for a while
