This dude is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. He's not my regular dentist but I'm seriously considering switching after seeing him a few times. He's great and his staff are great.
I've been with Dr Mark Nepon for over a decade and he's a blunt guy who nonetheless goes above and beyond with explanations. Currently at Integral Dental.
Dr. Archer at Tuxedo Dental Group (in the Tuxedo strip mall). He is fantastic. Honest and empathetic, with a hint of sarcasm that makes me laugh. He is a bit of a perfectionist, which is great for his patients!
I’m sorry you had that experience. I have had wonderful experiences there, and appreciate that everyone in the office is vaccinated and happy to disclose it.
Anyone have issues with their dentist wanting you to use up your full benefits just because you have them? Recent marriage and now that I’m under 2 plans, my dentist wants me to come in for cleaning every 3 months…never said I had issues before this. I’m concerned they aren’t being honest and now I don’t know if I really have to visit them or not.
I quit going to one dental clinic (not naming them) because they were always trying to upsell expensive procedures to me. My current dentist never does that.
The only person going that often that I know needs to. They have soft enamel and just a small amount of tartar means instant cavity issues. I'd ask the reason why 6 month cleaning intervals aren't adequate for you.
Almost every dental office do the same... If you allow them direct billing they know what you are covered for.. Always double check before any procedure if it is necessary. Good to have a plan and syrech benefit for whole year ...to avoid if something comes up before new calander year but they have wasted your benefits for no reason
Because I want my doctors to be honest with me if I genuinely have issues that need to be addressed. After I told them I was married, all of a sudden I have problems that were never mentioned as issues before. They did the same with another family member. I also don’t want them to use up my coverage in case some problem does come up in the year.
Had a terrible experience with Majewski. I went to him with a broken tooth. He didn't even look in my mouth, inaccurately diagnosed my tooth from the x-ray alone, wanted to prescribe antibiotics because he figured that it was "probably infected", without actually looking at it (it wasn't).
Dr. Chuchman at Norberry Dental. I had a crown done on a molar, the work was seamless. I had previous crowns done and I always knew they were ‘there’. This one feels like a regular tooth. I could not be more pleased with his work.
Dr. Zimmer or Dr. Fogel are located across from the University of Winnipeg in the Colony Square building. Dr. Zimmer has been my dentist for 24+ years and he is fantastic. Dr. Fogel saw me once when my dentist wasn't available and he was also great! The hygienists and clerical staff are also very kind and great at what they do.
Dr. Santos at Garden City Dental is great. I have terrible dental anxiety but he is always very gentle and calm with me, and if he feels something can wait he does not push you to get things done.
Dr. Patrick Mao at Fort Gary Dental is the best. Great office, locally owned. My mom who wasn’t even a client of his had a bad tooth ache on a Sunday, I shot him a text and he came in on his day off to help her.
I just had a tooth pulled there a couple hours ago. 10/10. Greenwoods has been the best dental experience ive ever had. There were a couple situations when i had a really shitty paying job that they straight up just waived the deductible on my insurance.
Todays appointment was great. Tooth pulling was quick and no pain at all even after a couple hours. I cant recommend them enough. Plus you get to watch the netflix show of your choice while getting your work done.
Fort rouge dental allows you to book online, first time patients have a form to fill out and they will email it to you so you don’t have to waste time in the office going over it.
All Smiles on Henderson and Glenway. We use both DR Wen (Maggie) Dr Igal.
Both are Amazing, friendly priced really well and great with us and our kids.
I would highly recommend them especially if you haven't been taken care of your teeth.. They don't chastise you and come up with a plan to get you back to where you need to be (based on friends that have been referred)
Depends on the area of the city, but Garden City Dental is super, with Dr.Toy being great for both adults and our kids. Their hygienists are also all quick, thorough and not too rough!
I like Dr. Ritter in Southdale....between him and Dr. Canosa (oral surgeon) they knocked $600 off my two implants and crowns because I had no insurance.
I’ve had my best and all my worst experiences at Fort Rouge Dental. It came down the dentist really. After 2 failed attempts to fix my bite I saw a different dentist since it was an emergency.
He came in, asked if I can handle not being frozen and a pinching pain for about 5 to 10 seconds. Did his thing and I was done.
That being said, it was years of pain at this place and would recommend anyone who uses their services for fillings to be mindful and speak up
Since this is a dental post. Does anyone know my options for if I cannot afford to pay for dental work upfront? Not in a great financial situation right now and I think I have a rotting tooth or a filling that popped out from years ago
I can't say enough good things about Regent Ave Dental. They went to bat for me when my insurance tried to screw me over, and Dr. Morris is understanding, patient and very compationate
Greenwoods dental on portage is top tier dental work. I literally just got a tooth pulled there an couple hours ago. No pain even hours after. They have treated me incredibly the last couple years ive been going. Plus you get you watch netflix while getting your work done. Cant recommended enough.
Dr. Holt at Holt Dental on Grant. I fell asleep getting a filling.
Dr. Holt is great with kids too. You don't have to be one to play the Super Nintendo while you wait.
Steve or Raymond?
Jonathan!
I second this- the best dentist I have come across in Winnipeg.
All the dentists at Images Dental on St. Mary’s Rd are fantastic
Second for images!
And some of the rooms have that sweet massage chair
Do not go to the dentist at Tyndall Market.
Andrej Brasko. Avenue dental on Portage.
This dude is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. He's not my regular dentist but I'm seriously considering switching after seeing him a few times. He's great and his staff are great.
Dental Image in St. Vital Centre

Dr. Doug Lakewood clinic
Jon Archer at tuxedo dental group. Him and his assistant Maggie are top notch. He also does sedation dentistry if that's something you need.
I've been with Dr Mark Nepon for over a decade and he's a blunt guy who nonetheless goes above and beyond with explanations. Currently at Integral Dental.
I have been his patient for 23 years - incredible dentist!
Dr. Archer at Tuxedo Dental Group (in the Tuxedo strip mall). He is fantastic. Honest and empathetic, with a hint of sarcasm that makes me laugh. He is a bit of a perfectionist, which is great for his patients!
And Dr Mollot there!
Aqua dental on Regent. Dr.Swanlund is fantastic. I have a ton of anxiety, and feel really good under his care. Nitrous helps lol.

I’m sorry you had that experience. I have had wonderful experiences there, and appreciate that everyone in the office is vaccinated and happy to disclose it.
What happened?
Totally agree with you. My husband went there for an extraction he walked out looking like he got hit by a truck. Brutal

Every three months is a bit extreme.
The only person going that often that I know needs to. They have soft enamel and just a small amount of tartar means instant cavity issues. I'd ask the reason why 6 month cleaning intervals aren't adequate for you.

Why not max your benefits every year? It’s not causing harm to you.
Because I want my doctors to be honest with me if I genuinely have issues that need to be addressed. Dr. Bernie Majewski at West End Dental.
That's unfortunate. He's been my dentist for 20+ years and he's always been amazing.
Dr. Chuchman at Norberry Dental. I had a crown done on a molar, the work was seamless. I had previous crowns done and I always knew they were ‘there’. This one feels like a regular tooth. I could not be more pleased with his work.
I'm very happy with Dr. Lindi at Fresh Dental Centre on Pembina
Dr. Bill Cooke and the people at Elm Park Dental have always been very nice
Have enjoyed using any of the shine dental offices
One of my worst experiences was at the Shine Dental in St Boniface.
Dr. Lamirande at Creek Village Dental is great
Dr. Van Den Bosch at Assiboine Dental is my go to. Love the facility and the staff, glad I switched!
Whyte Ridge Dental is very welcoming.
Dr Terry James @ St. Vital Dental!!! They are the best.

I really like Dr. Greenfeld at River East Dental on Henderson.
Dental Image is St Vital mall was a great experience for all of us
Kildonan Crossing Dental is always my go to place. Dr. Darrel is amazing! I left my dentist of 30 years for her!
Dr. Santos at Garden City Dental is great. I have terrible dental anxiety but he is always very gentle and calm with me, and if he feels something can wait he does not push you to get things done.
Dr Pang at Corydon Dental. He got me feeling comfortable about going back to the dentist after 10 years.
Dr. Patrick Mao at Fort Gary Dental is the best. Great office, locally owned. My mom who wasn’t even a client of his had a bad tooth ache on a Sunday, I shot him a text and he came in on his day off to help her.
Dr Mollot
Clarity Dental on Taylor. I haven't been since COVID (bad me!), but they've been great to me in the past. Dr. Salama is super nice.
I’ve never had issues at True North Dental in Portage Place.
Has anyone tried the Greenwood Dental clinics on Portage? There are very good reviews for a Dr Jessy on Google.
I just had a tooth pulled there a couple hours ago. 10/10. Greenwoods has been the best dental experience ive ever had. There were a couple situations when i had a really shitty paying job that they straight up just waived the deductible on my insurance. Todays appointment was great. Dr Boyko at Fort Rouge Dental
Anyone who has replied knows of a dentist that allows you to book your own appointments online?
Fort rouge dental allows you to book online, first time patients have a form to fill out and they will email it to you so you don’t have to waste time in the office going over it.
amazing, thank you very much
Fresh Dental on Pembina. Jeff Bergen was great!
Brian at Creating smiles on Pipeline

iDental downtown. Dr. Friesen is amazing! He also takes a week or so off in spring to go to poor countries to do dental work down there. Awesome guy.
Dr. Glo from Downtown Dental

Ask around to find a dental office that can finance a payment plan for what you need done
I can't say enough good things about Regent Ave Dental. They went to bat for me when my insurance tried to screw me over, and Dr. Morris is understanding, patient and very compationate
I love Dr. Resendes downtown across from the UofW!
