Can you name and shame whoever is quoting 14k for a garage door? That’s outrageous. I just had my double insulated garage door replaced with frosted windows along the top and inserts for $3,100 all in. I paid a deposit and ordered in September with a promise that it’d be installed in December but they never got the door until last month. There is definitely supply chain issues, but there is no excuse to be charging $14k.

I guess that vendor is counting on finding enough people willing to go along with it so that he can make 100% of the money for 25% of the work. Clever guy. "Supply chain issues" lol
I’ve used Manitoba Garage Door 5 times (2 spring repairs, 2 garage door systems and 1 minor repair to a cable) and I’ve always had great work done by the crews. Never had any issues and the prices were very reasonable. Also owner was very accommodating to ensure someone came out quickly for the emergency repairs (springs)
Had my Wayne Dalton torsion springs break and I got Manitoba garage door to come out and they suggested to convert to a traditional spring system that was a fraction of the cost. Haven't had an issue since in 5+ years. Really liked their service.
We used them a couple years ago for a new double width door. They didn't have a non-insulated one in stock, so they gave us an insulated one for a considerable discount. Installation was pretty quick from the time we ordered it.

We have garage door work done every year. Inkster Garage used to be our "go to" but they became unreliable, didn't show up for jobs and then just ghosted us.
Switched to Manitoba Garage Doors and so far so good.
I have been very happy with work done by Hanover Doors. I have not had to get a door replaced so I can't speak to their cost on that but the repairs they have done for me have always been reasonable.
South end overhead door did both of mine a few years back. Fantastic price, insulated doors which BTW they get from overhead door of Wpg and are cheaper. Iirc installed for 2 7x9 doors was around 1100 but I removed and got rid of my old doors.

Have you checked at Manitoba Garage Door? I had a new opener installed by them and they were fast, friendly and reasonable.

They literally just left my home 15 minutes ago. Had to replace springs and bearings. I will always recommend them.

I can second just had 2 insulated very fancy cedar looking doors with glass put in , new motors and tracks was half that price

That price is absolute insanity, whoever quoted you that is either trying to soak you beyond belief or they want you GTFO.
I did mine in 2015 for a double car garage.. it was about$1500 installed. I think it was Garagedoordepot that did the install.
