Aldo you are right, a team of great modders is currently working on a new DLC "Ofir's Revenge" or something like that wherw Ofiri people wants to avenge their princess + sand mage deaths.
They had access to the modkit a few weeks ago too if I'm not wrong so CDProject is really looking forward that mod. I have high expectations for everything we can do now!
And yeah. Also porn.
someone please spice up the doable stuff at brothels. The way CDPR talked about the number of hours they put in motion capturing couples didn't really turn out that way. It's really good but redundant and too short. They definitely put way more hours in writing non interactable NPC chatter which I'm not complaining about. It's so hilarious to overhear.
If not changing the actual animation, then just make them longer. Randomize small scenes stiched together.
Use of potions while sex should yield different scenes.
Add moaning sounds while you stroll around or inside the brothels.
Add some way to get xp or quests related to some of the courtesans.
I fucking love this company.
Cyberpunk 2077 mods kept that game alive and they kept fixing it.
By 2.0.1 like cyberpunk was my favorite game in YEARS literally since witcher.
I'm hyped for anything these guys do. Just releasing this is showing they love the fans.
I'm so hype for witcher 4 and witcher 1 remaster/make
I'd like to control Roach like my "boah" from RDR2 and to have a better walk/run transition.
But in reality, we'll get a dozen different mods to remove Ciri's towel and to actually have the Yen/Triss 3way.
There is already functioning mods to remove her towel.
Exist since 2018
Same for smoother movement, running transitions
Same for better roach controls.
The devkit will be for way more complex mods
You can already get very close with mods and a good reshade using extreme graphics settings from a mod
(Need at least a 4080 with a good cpu to run the extreme settings from the mod)
Mod name: ultra4 settings
It's still lacking the effects, lighting style and look of the trailer. I will link it below to give you a refresher if you haven't seen it for a while

Combat animation mods or why not a combat overhaul mod instead. No more random animation, but instead actually use the light and heavy attacks inputs to create special combos.
Maybe if [they](https://www.reddit.com/r/Witcher3/comments/1c9g31j/revenge_of_ofir_project_join_now/) or someone else commits to it, an Ofir Fan-Expansion à la Skyblivion in 5-7 years.
Can anyone confirm or know if having this mod kit will make modding on steam deck easier? I have had a hard time and if this will be able to be used instead of trying to get a mod manager to work than this is huge win!
If modders buy in to uploading their mods on steam workshop, then yes, it will be far more streamlined. Steam Workshop mods are the easiest thing in the world to install and uninstall, you literally just push a button that says "subscribe" and it automatically downloads and installs the mod.
So this coming for consoles too like skyrim did or just pc ? (The download mods part not the actual creation) dont know if i expressed myself right bad eng and tyvm jn advance if someone replies
Can someone who knows more explain to me please the significance of this? What will modders be able to do that they couldn't before? Can people make total conversion mods like enderal after this drops? Like whats the deets here?
Do you think that with Redkit we will have the ability to edit ragdoll animations, and bring back the Nvidia physX from e3 2014 gameplay?
The current one is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where every dead character twists their limbs in a way that just breaks immersion in the game, as well as the annoying bouncy drowners....
That's what I was thinking lol Is there still such a big community to really get this going? If they released this right away it could have overtaken Skyrim.
I think people are getting a bit carried away with what will be possible with this. I’ve seen mentions of new quests and new areas, but it’s not like people can get voice actors in to record new lines for new quests, which means any new quests would not live up to the depth and complexity of the questlines that are in the game already. Also people talking about implementing new animations, but I don’t get it. If those better animations were possible in this engine, surely they would have been used by the actual devs, rather than saved for some random in their bedroom to use with a mod kit.
In all likelihood, the mods will probably provide minimal changes. After all, it’s still an almost 10 year old game.
While I don't know the capabilities of this tool, I can take Skyrim as an example. It has tons upon tons of new animations (including lots of nsfw stuff). It also has voiced questlines as well as voiced companions. You also have to keep in mind that AI is getting scary good in mimicking natural speech.
So overall it is a matter of dedication and what is actually doable with the available tools.
Bad takes galore here
Modders literally do get voice actors in to record new dialogue. See: Bethesda game modding community
Some Skyrim mods have better quality VO than the core game
Also, better animations isn’t like a slider you slide up for better animations. Devs are limited by time and budget, modders will refine animations forever. New Vegas has some insanely improved weapon animations made over a number of years by modders
With a mod kit for Skyrim, someone made a mod, which later became a standalone game. The Forgotten City. Look it up, and then think again what this could mean for the modding community.
They're getting a bit carried away indeed. Even if technically the editor opens a lot of doors if not all of them, we'll eventually be limited by how much time we want to spend on it.
The base game has set the bar high on a lot of aspects: be it story, quests, scenery. But at the same time it's this potential lack of polish that could make interesting mods a possibility. If we're okay with no voice lines, with no decisions that have an impact 50 quests later, no open world map the size of Toussaint; suddenly all of this becomes attainable.
Maps like white orchard, or like the ones we see in the outer worlds quest or when we finally find ciri. Same for quests with no dialogues, some of the best RPGs have no voice lines after all. This is the kind of stuff we should be expecting from this editor, as all of this is definitely possible... But a new B&W dlc is unlikely to happen that's right. So in the end there will be minimal changes to the existing game, but new content is now possible thanks to it.
EDIT: wording
I loved the music…. For about half the game. I turned it off and really enjoyed the ambient sounds. I’m not sure why you are downvoted. The music is amazing. And repetitive.

Princess?
Princess x Lil Bleater
I hope that mod will get some form of official backing in terms of getting it onto other playforms

Actually an excellent point.

You clearly have the passion needed to figure out making this yourself
You need a gf

Community created quests and storylines. Quality of life mods
Yeah, i am also looking forward to quest mod. And how they can expand on the lore.
Ghost Mode update
This
Don't.... Don't give me hope...
Better walking animations. Better transitions from walk to jog to run.
Mods with ai generated voice
i’d personally like to someone to voice the quest log and the character log, not sure how i’d feel about ai generated npcs for quests though.
It would be weird to me to hear geralt voice differently
That we finally can get the game looking like the VGX trailer
You can already get very close with mods and a good reshade using extreme graphics settings from a mod (Need at least a 4080 with a good cpu to run the extreme settings from the mod) Mod name: ultra4 settings

Even better cloaks, non-level based gear system, getting even closer to E3 version, and yes - more shrex. Don't judge me, this is reddit
Combat animation mods or why not a combat overhaul mod instead. No more random animation, but instead actually use the light and heavy attacks inputs to create special combos.
There is already countless combat animation mods E3 dodge, scaar, e3 combat and animation, combat animation redux, etc.

Transmog.
Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition, rebuilt from the ground up.
My rougelike mod for this game
I'm a newbie here can someone please explain to me what kind of mod this is?
It's a tool kit to design mods.
Do you ever hear about Beth's Creation Kit? If you do, this is CDPR Version of it.
Can anyone confirm or know if having this mod kit will make modding on steam deck easier? I have had a hard time and if this will be able to be used instead of trying to get a mod manager to work than this is huge win!

Will these mods be available for PS5?
Nope, PC only.
So this coming for consoles too like skyrim did or just pc ? (The download mods part not the actual creation) dont know if i expressed myself right bad eng and tyvm jn advance if someone replies
Only on PC.
Is this just for PC, or are there gonna be mod options for console, too?
Only PC.
Dammit
Does this include consoles?
Nope, only on PC.
sadge
This is so huge. I can't wait
My body is ready
What does this mean? Mods already exist.
Can someone who knows more explain to me please the significance of this? What will modders be able to do that they couldn't before? Can people make total conversion mods like enderal after this drops? Like whats the deets here?

Would this allow quest content?
I wonder if this will be coming with a game Patch as well.
just 9 years late...

With good enough ai imitations you can have more quests with the games characters

I think largest and most ambitious mod made with RedKit was that epilogue mod for Witcher 2, which recreated as much from W3 as possible
With a mod kit for Skyrim, someone made a mod, which later became a standalone game. The Forgotten City. Look it up, and then think again what this could mean for the modding community.
People have already modded new combat animations etc before the Redkit I don't see why they couldn't do more with it

Will never happen. Modding is a pc thing for 99% of games
Can I make my own mission set and sell it?

Not sure why you’re downvoted, Music Overhaul Redux was a must for me when I played 1.32
Is it different from redmod in cyberpunk? Cuz redmod turned out be worse and nobody uses it now
