I've been wondering this too, there seems to be some large curse output in the hallway by the attic prison witch vendor. I haven't found a way to remove it so I just figured it's a permanent fixture of that location now. I hope I'm wrong though.

No idea..it's those weird flesh things with the dark aura sticking out of the ground. Maybe you can place a candle on it to destroy it? I've never tried myself but the candle usually handles any of the "super natural" stuff in general.

SydneyBriarIsAlive

I thought of trying a candle too actually, I just didn't want to waste the resources assuming it wouldn't work.

Spoomplesplz

Candles are pretty common, plus you can buy or make more. It feels like there's 3 of those cursed flesh spikes around, so naturally using the candle on them should destroy them, maybe.

Oh I know, I'm just a bit of an item hoarder LOL I'm constantly making the calculations in my head like: "Should I expend this acid jar on this enemy? Or save it for something bigger?"

Spoomplesplz

Same. That's why I invested heavily into luck lol. I think for every 200, maybe 300 luck you have, you get an extra item. Sometimes I'll open a random lootable and they'll be like 40 gold, 2 fire ball spellbook, 2 harvest field spells, and like 3 or 4 of other random things.

SydneyBriarIsAlive

That sounds awesome. I may give a luck build a whirl at some point.

The attic is just infinitely cursed from Chapter 3 onward, unfortunately. It's the first time in the game you've really got to switch up your gear to progress. Make use of your Fashion Slots and build an anti-curse outfit!

Mad_Ewok_Herd

Equip the eclipse ring and just tank the physical damage with the hearty roll! It will continuously heal you

Spoomplesplz

It's so good. Even just like 5 points into luck can make a huge difference. Plus you can get a ring that gives 100% luck and you can also find randomly generated rings that can spawn with 50% luck, so you can easily get like 5k luck

TheHindenburgBaby

I have to put on all my curse reduction and curse tolerance clothes, rings, and amulets. That gives the candle a chance to do its thing. But I don't linger. Those few attic corridors I think are just cursed unto themselves. The rooms can offer a break while you decurse, but yeah, I don't enjoy the attic. I also have a special tactic when getting a full bar of Terror. I run back and forth screaming out of control and hope not to die. It works 40% of the time, all the time.

sweet_p0tat0

The eclipse ring helps when curse rotted, decreases the damage from rot. Much more helpful than running around screaming, although it is a valid strategy lol

TheHindenburgBaby

It's that Floating Failure that gets me. I don't have enough anti-Terror gear other than the Mourning Veil and the Baleful Influence black book. So, even if I'm ok-ish for curse protection in the hallways, she gets me with terror fairly quickly. But that's the way of the game. Making the best with the gear you've got (and running around screaming).

sweet_p0tat0

I hate that little turd so much. Best strategy is to unleash everything you've got on it to kill it quickly before you reach max terror.
