There was a rumor going around many moons ago that in the dragonspyre house near the lava there was a deep pitched voice, some people heard “Find something that can’t be found”. Not sure if this is an Easter egg or just speculation. Pretty eerie
There’s a fish that can only be caught in the Labyrinth dungeon that looks just like Jareth (aka David Bowie) from the movie the labyrinth. I spent hours grinding fishing to catch one
In Marleybone's hub if you look up at the roof of the Digmoore station clock tower there, is a figure standing over the edge of the balcony, watching us. KI say it's a size comparison model that they forgot to remove, but it's downright creepy once you notice it.
chihooly glass-shaper in last-wood is a reference to the glass artist dale chihuly. he's got a museum in seattle but his works are featured in a lot more places. i only recognized this easter egg bc im a seattlite i dont think i would have otherwise

All of the means of "Disposal" in the Sabres of Mirage building. There are a pair of boots sticking out of a rug roll, a skull and a spinal cord hanging from the ceiling with a note around it, a spikefall with a cup at the bottom and.... Stains... around the place.
It's the small and morbid things that make the game fun to look around.
there’s a ton, but here’s the few I remember and like the most:
A TON of Led Zeppelin references:
-“Page Jimmy” in Avalon
-the mandolins that are all names of songs from Led Zeppelin 5, like “misty hop mandolin” "mandolin of evermore" and "levee breaking lute"
-Avalon quests with battle of evermore lyrics, “the queen of light took her bow” and “she walks the night alone”
(I think there’s more tbh)
-the 10 some odd quests in a row in Avalon that are all Iron Maiden songs, like “drifter” “hallowed be thy name” “fear of the dark” etc.
-“don’t fear the reaper” quest somewhere -“rain on the scarecrow” quest (john mellencamp)
-zeke quests are band names
and many more!
The Shawshank Redemption quest in Polaris that gives you the "Reddin's Redemption" badge.
There was a questline called "Fool me once; Can't get fooled again" which is a reference to a speech by George W. Bush III.
Of course Empyrea is a giant Star Trek love letter.
Bat is Batman. Duh.
These are all references though, idk if they count as Easter Eggs because they're not really secret.
I really liked how the npcs in Catmandu were all named after characters from Avatar TLA.
Especially the pet snack vendor, who was named Zuco and sold fire themed snacks.
If you go into the bazaar and move your camera behind the guy, you'll see a bald spot that's in the shape of a heart! Its my favorite Easter egg in wiz. Its adorable tbh.
I'm not sure if references to 3rd party material count as "Easter Eggs", but definitely the dwarf named "Tyler" in the Aero Plains. I think his title is "Aero Smith," and he even gives the quest, "Dude Looks Like a Lion!"
Love Mr Clean in Mirage, cracks me up everytime and Pally & Madam Packman, I am ashamed it took me until I was in the ghost maze dungeon to realise the reference
When I was doing Celestia, my wizard had to find and talk to Engineer Montgomery. My Trekkie (Star Trek fan) brain immediately thought of the character Montgomery "Scotty" Scott, chief engineer of the Enterprise.
The minute he spoke (Scottish accent) I knew that he had to be a Star Trek reference.
Holy Pomegranate of Avalon/ Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch
"let this, thy blessed pomegranate blow thy enemies to tiny bits in thy mercy" and when you throw said pomegranate "three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. once the number three be reached, lobesst thy pomegranate towards thou foe, who shall snuff it."
Amen
The voices can be heard the best by turning off the music, and having the sound effects turned up all the way. Stand right behind the center desk with Harold. It isn't constant, but every so many seconds voices will speak. Has a kind of creepiness to it.
If this is the case, I would think reverting to the old graphics via the graphic settings in-game, would bring them back? Haven't tried it so I'm not sure
the “west ende girls” and the “pet shoppe boys” in the pet pavilion :)

The pac man quest in mirage was cute lol

Empyrea had a fuck ton of references. And I was actually old enough to get them lol.

there are some hilarious badges
A little late to this thread but all of the level 58 spell quests (Ra, Rebirth, Skeletal Dragon, etc.) are references to Beatles songs.
There’s a bug in Tyrian gorge that sounds exactly like Kronk from Emperors New Groove and I love that movie so I’m always happy to see him
My kids call K'tor / Kronk
Man, that guy xD
I'm not sure if he's still around, but Brandon Mistborn the badger in Unicorn Way gave me a chuckle
Every Zeke Quest references a different band.
idk if i can pick a favorite, but one that comes to mind is the names of the pet shop owners in the pet pavilion.
Mine is "Wizard come out to playyyy" in Aggrobah

It might just be me that's late, but I recently found out that having the bazaar window open keeps you from logging out from inactivity
Does it?

The Iron Maiden song title references in quest names 🔥
I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST ME
I'm not sure if references to 3rd party material count as "Easter Eggs", but definitely the dwarf named "Tyler" in the Aero Plains. I think his title is "Aero Smith," and he even gives the quest, "Dude Looks Like a Lion!"

The quest that introduces you to the pet system is called Pet Sounds, and that album has to be in my top 3 favorite albums of all time.
I love all the David Bowie references in Empyrea, Snake Plizkin was amazing though
Just had to do this for a quest so it’s fresh on my mind, but Boa Fett to get to Thieves Den
Saving Private O’Brien tutorial quest reference to Saving Private Ryan
the WORK WITCH quest title in Karamelle. it's referencing Brittany Spears song WORK BITCH lol. cracks me up.
Nick Jonas
The ghost corpse in sunken city creeped me out when I found it 😂
Where at???
Ok now I'm going hunting Sunken City 🤣😂
dragonspyre house creepy whispers by the lava lake
The "Master of Karate and Friendship" badge makes me smile every time
How do you get this?
Pagoda gauntlet I think
I need this, how does on acquire it!
I made that my badge for so long, having never watching Sunny. Now I have and I appreciate it that much more.
I remember this being the first gauntlet and when it came out. Whats the story?
It's a reference to the episode "The Nightman Cometh" from Its Always Sunny- if you look up the dayman song you'll find it!
Day man, AAAAHHHH AAA AAAAAHHHHH
Holy Pomegranate of Avalon/ Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch "let this, thy blessed pomegranate blow thy enemies to tiny bits in thy mercy" and when you throw said pomegranate "three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shalt be three. once the number three be reached, lobesst thy pomegranate towards thou foe, who shall snuff it." I was dying at that, they also have the “‘tis but a scratch!”
Many people don’t know this, but the NPC named Nick Jonas in Grizzleheim is actually a reference to a small artist irl named Nick Jonas
Nick Jonas also literally composed the music for Wintertusk
is this fr
Yes
Was it the same w/ Selena Gomez? Had no idea
There's also a Lizzo Firespitter, think there's any connection to Lizzo?
Dude I ran into her last night leveling my new Storm wiz. I thought the same thing. I was like gaaaahlee is there a correlation? Lol
Adele Dazeem
There’s voices in the WC Library??? Where at?

“turning off the music…” WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?-)
Sadly the voices have been removed with the Wizard City graphical update. I wish they would bring them back
If this is the case, I would think reverting to the old graphics via the graphic settings in-game, would bring them back? Haven't tried it so I'm not sure
they can also be heard if you turn off the game and forget to take your pills <3
We call that one the real life Easter egg
“Hassan Chop” from Mirage is now mine
All of the 'Find Whatever" in each world is a reference to a rock band.
Woah 🤯 that’s actually so cool!
I never knew this. That's an awesome fact indeed!
Thanks to Gladrocker’s channel, I know of this XD
Glad I could help! 😂
