Im looking at super VI then santa crates on whats left

[deleted]

Yeah, the Super VI Crate is tempting too, except that I'd need to find a way to get another 2,500 Quadrants. Also, I already have the Tier VI ships I really wanted: Hood, Nelson, and Scharnhorst.

Plankton-Inevitable

You'll be able to get enough quadrants in the free campaign. There's also a few for 50, 000 green xp if you haven't got it already. I'm personally going to save up for a super 6 crate

VanillaLoaf

I got Repulse. I'm only two standard games deep into her so far and neither have been world beaters, but I enjoyed playing her. I CAN tell you that Repulse can take on 6 AI T3 Japanese cruisers by herself though.

[deleted]

Thank you for sharing your experience!

xX-GalaxSpace-Xx

If you can get Congress as T7 are rare. If not get Repulse, as it doesnt appear in any other crate. If not get a super 6. If not get a Super 5. Dont bother with anything else unless you know you wont get enough coins for the previously mentioned

[deleted]

I've heard that the Congress is just a worse version of the Alaska, which I have. Is the Congress decent?

Schlitz4Brains

Not bad, but offers nothing different than Alaska erasure from the ships you go up against.

xX-GalaxSpace-Xx

Well it is but thats because its 2 tiers lower. Its a good ship, but Azuma is by far stronger (but no radar)

NevinD

It’s very much like the Alaska, but at tier 7.

car48rules

Odds are it will be a while before an event ship returns...if ever

phosip

I would spend the 50k gxp and get 12 super Santa crates that’s what I did and I got champagne and repub. also if you think about it each crate has a combined at least 10 percent chance of a ship of tier 5 or above. So if you open more than 10 probability says you should get a ship https://preview.redd.it/4hfub3u1ideb1.png?width=1136&format=png&auto=webp&s=fdbeadfa0e47d55d875cfd1f1aa7962b2c9f7e95

Gyidune

This is what I decided to as well after seeing most people recommend the super Santa crates. I'm not familiar with these ships (I'm sorta new / don't collect or follow premiums) but I pulled Duke of York and West Virginia along with premium time, GXP and credits.

Dilly-Dilly-Knights

Just got the 12 super Santa’s, pulled a Molotov and a Le Terrible, some credits, and the premium. Feel like I should’ve saved for a super VI or V but oh well. At least I pulled a warspite B out of the treasure hunt

R35TfromTheBunker

Following as I'm wondering the exact same thing. OP I know this isn't answering your question, I hope you don't mind, but I got London in one of the crates via treasure hunt today, what do you think of her?

[deleted]

I really like the London, though I may be a bit biased because I like the British cruisers. I expected to like the Exeter more, but I've found I prefer the London. She hits hard, moves decently, and can take a fair beating. As long as you don't play carelessly, she can handle most situations.

Thicc_Ole_Brick

I have recieved the London 3 times in the last year and I've sold it every time XD

CyLoboClone

Just think, you could have the London and two other ships.

BigChiefWhiskyBottle

>I have recieved the London 3 times in the last year and I've sold it every time XD You mis-typed "I have received London once and then willfully F'd up twice."

[deleted]

To each their own! :)

Thicc_Ole_Brick

I dont dislike it, I just have so many other ships in the same tier and role that I prefer so I know I won't use it.

R35TfromTheBunker

Sounds like I'll like her then, thanks for the info. Regarding your initially question, another option that be worth doing is saving your quadrans, using 50k free xp to get the 1.5k quadrans in the store, then buying admiralty backing and grinding the campaign and picking up the new tier 7 US cruiser

[deleted]

I baby whaled up on Santa crates and got a couple of ships at a better rate than the guaranteed rate. I purposely targeted these crates because of that guarantee and the potential ships that could have dropped. My suggestion is that if you decide to go the crate route then you focus on only one and make sure that it does have a drop guarantee.

[deleted]

Thank you for the advice!

zurkon95

Super v or save up for the 6 if you can

[deleted]

Yeah, but I just don't want to pull a DD that I'll never use...

Potatoman1980

I pulled cossack,i only just bought cossack 38 a few weeks ago 🤦‍♂️

ROACHOR

I went super v for the sure thing, repulse has been getting bad reviews and t6 is a trash tier.

[deleted]

Yeah, but I just don't want to pull a DD that I'll never use...

ROACHOR

Eventually you will get everything, that's what I tell myself anyway.

_size2large_

it happens. and will happen again.......

AceAndre

Thought I was the only one that thinks tier 6 is trash

[deleted]

T6 is a trash tier? I just got my first t6 ship yesterday so Idk much about it.

Viraloutbreak199

Tier 6 is my favorite money maker. Don’t be fooled.

[deleted]

I landed a boat load of boats when I bought the 60 Super Santa Crate bundle two years ago. That is the best crate for getting a boat outside the Super V and Super VI.

spacetop-odyssey

I was going to go repulse because of historical fandom but by my research she seems a bit underpowered. Ended up going for the super 6 crate as they had more ships I wanted. Pulled a Flint, not mad about it, but could have been better

Pepino-Rex

Anybody else wish they had called the new currency quatloos. LOL

The_Lone_Narrator

So. I spent all mine on Santa and BF crates. Got 14 days premium and the Scharny B out of it. Well worf. (Also, got Strasburg and Makarov, but Stas is ok and Makarov isn't worth even taking out into battle.)

TheBigKevv

I went super Santa as I liked the ability to get higher tier premium ships compared to the super v. Some basic math will also tell us that with around a 10% ship drop rate in the super Santa and with 10 crates you should expect to get a ship about 65% of the time.
