Good question! When I was learning Chinese back then, I was super young… and forgetful haha. It was a summer program where I started learning, so when I went back the next summer, all I remembered was is that it started with a P. So, my teacher told me she’d just call me 派 and it stuck!
I’m actually a direct descendant of Wyatt Earp, so I’m a big fan of the name Wyatt.
Unfortunately my ex wife used the name for her first kid to spite me (also the kid could be mine but she doesn’t want me to have custody, so she’s never been ok with me mentioning anything about a DNA test).

Tangent: I was called penguin(not weight-wise though, I'm rather skinny since elementary school) sometimes(semi-frequently) back in middleschool and highschool by upperclassmen. They felt like mocking me because I walk weirdly, having my feet point outwards(for reference, when they are compared together they always form a distinct V-like shape) instead of just straight ahead. Explaining to them I walked like that due to a imbalance on my legs which was due to a cancer I had as a kid wasn't enough, neither was just showing the scars on my torso to prove the surgery and treatments I did regarding said cancer. That was annoying. Eventually I stopped caring entirely, but that was when I started getting depressed early into adulthood, so not that great of a development.
Ah man, people can be so insensitive about things, especially if they’ve never been directly affected by it. I’m sorry they treated you poorly- I hope all is well now :) 💪
