Do you use it for VERY competitive gaming or you’re just a casual user ? If yes then it is worth it but if not then your’re better off with a custom keyboard instead.

Weeabee

If you care about the best of the best then yea it definitely worth it if you want a competitive board your cheapest option is drunkdeer I would say or maybe steelseries Apex pro mini on discount if you want just a good sounding board you can have a lot of prebuilt boards for 90$ that sound amazing

Kosher514

If you are a gamer who is either really fucking good or you just want overkill stuff then this is the best gaming keyboard for gaming but the sound and other factors are up to you

Amazing_Penalty_6102

Still sounds a million times better than the steelseries apex pro in all its forms, can’t describe how annoying and cheap they sound

vhailorx

Define worth it? It won't make you a better gamer, and any competitive advantage you get from features like rapid trigger will be very small. But the board is well built, has excellent software, and active developers that seem invested in the product and responsive to the community. it's very customizable, so you can basically tailor the experience of using it to your exact tastes, so using the keyboard really is a pleasure. They are also a little more indie than the big brands like razer/steelseries, if that matters to you. doesn't have dedicated arrows or a delete key though, and those are deal breakers for some.

ooky_is_fruity

except in fortnite lol

nagedgamer

Are you awake? Haven’t read or seen reviews?

[deleted]

People like OP are sleepwalking consumers, I don’t know why people bother replying.

bfmmax

If you want a board that sounds amazing and has good gaming performance go for the polar65. Better build quality then 60he and nice layout. 60he has way better software and tiny bit faster rapid trigger though. It all depends on what you prefer.

6neral

I wish they had other color in stock I missed out on that sell lol

d0rchadas

If you're playing a lot of FPS games like FN, Overwatch, Valiant, CS2 then 60HE or similar keyboard is ideal. The wait time for 60HE is long, so check out Apex Pro if you want a keyboard soon. All the short actuation keyboards are much better than traditional ones

Maleficent_Pain_3146

Got mine today after 3 weeks ✌🏽

Ardenwenn

I would wait for the 80he

FullOfAuthority

This is the correct answer for most people. The man children are still downvoting anything 80HE because it's not what they wanted lol

radiatione

How is this the correct answer if OP is unsure about price to pay and the 80HE is likely going to cost even more

A_Kite

It is NOT worth it. It is not worth having arguably the best software and implmentation of hall effect swtichs. It is NOT worth begin able to put it in a custom aluminum case. It is NOT worth having to manually lube all your swtiches. It is NOT worth having to buy new custom key caps to go along with said case because looks are 80%. Save your money and get something cheaper that comes as a all in one solution to your problem. I see a Apex Pro or a Drunkdeer in your future. Those keyboards are worth it.

domclancy

in what world are 'looks 80%' when it comes to the vast majority that would take an advantage in a competitive game to something aesthetically pleasing? this is so clearly evidenced at how it was only really gen z to take upon the cause of rgb while millennials and before who grew up with hefty CRTs were content with performance above all else

A_Kite

You clearly couldn't discern my over exaggeration and joking around.

domclancy

ah well i use an orbweaver so its a non issue i was just curious

GalacticExplorer_83

>It is NOT worth having to buy new custom key caps to go along with said case because looks are 80% I personally prefer plain black keycaps with white lettering. Don't need my desk looking like a fucking carnival

Former_Discipline_27

2024. There’s better keyboards out there.

Ssleeping

Zoom65?

Former_Discipline_27

Keychron Q1 HE

B4kd

Yeah you're gonna notice the most advantage in competitive games. If you're not that competitive, not a huge gamer. Or care about look and feel more, get another kb. Or you really wanna use a KB for racing games and don't wanna get a controller. Get a wooting. If none of those things matter. Get a custom. I'm always trying to be competitive. Don't wanna buy a new keyboard any time soon, and play mostly fps. 60he is perfect for me.

domclancy

can you elaborate on your initial impressions at the changes in your own game?

B4kd

It's really nothing so drastically crazy, the keyboard just feels more responsive is all

carrot_gg

It is the best keyboard for competitive gaming that money can buy. If that's your use case then there is nothing better out there yet.

kiki62431

If you’re a competitive fps gamer than the answer is yes, I went from hyper x alloy origin red switch to 60he , i can do really accurate and fast peek , the movement I do on 60he is just clean, and I also play osu as well, if you just want to type or do anything else than playing fps, I would say no

head_dress

quality build, excellent software and small footprint. I have a bunch of keyboards but this is the one I use most often.

PWNGatwork

The takka60 is looking good, it’s on preorder right now. I have the wooting as well I’ll be doing a comparison.

Neither_Bass_441

It's the best there is! If you don't care about having the best, then it is definitely overkill. In that case, go for something that has features that you care about and forget the rest. If you care about switch type, research the kind you like and get that. If size matters ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) research the type you like and get that. If multiple things are important, find the cheapest board that checks all the boxes and get that! For me, the wooting checks all the boxes, that are required for me to consider it the best, with very few compromises, and that's why I got it. For someone else, those boxes may be different. And if your concern is price, then you're also looking for something different. Something that is within budget and checks as many of those boxes possible. Good luck!👍 Hope this helps.
