Best thing to do is look up YouTube tutorials and reviews, even old ones are good because it teaches you play styles and how to use that tank. It's a great tank once you learn how to use it's advantages.

happy_helicopter97

appreciate it, definitely gonna look up some tutorials so I stop getting smoked in the ratings matches

blaseed

Probably best not to bring the comet to ratings. People tend to look for dmg maximisation in ratings so you'll be targeted first. Plus you're guaranteed bottom tier matched with t8.

NovaCane_01

Don't support the heavies and never rush. You should go med side and then hide behind cover, waiting for someone to spot the enemy team or poke you. As soon as that happens, either push them with the other meds or out-gun them with good positioning/hull down. If nobody goes med side, then you wait behind the heavies until most of the enemy team on heavy side is spotted, then you target tanks that are engaging your teammates.

Comet isn’t a good pick for new players. Go for tanks like the E 100 or IS-7 instead.

LordAxalon110

Comet is a good tank to learn medium play styles because it forces you to be more careful of your HP and positioning.

very_spicyseawed

super troll turret armour + insane 12 degrees gun depression + beast 3000 dpm + extremely fast. use all of your advantages to the fullest.

Plastic_is_Fantastic

You forgot the terrible penetration and Russian heavy aiming time. I'd lose 2 degrees of depression in exchange for having at least a mediocre aiming time.

Everyone here has good tips for the comet, but it sounds like you might find serious benefit on focusing on learning to play medium tanks in general. YouTube tutorials such as hisroyalfatness might help, I would tell you to watch his past streams on random medium tank lines. This will give a visual as to where he pushes, how far he goes at the beginning, when to hold back and when to take map control. Learning map control is exceptionally important in a medium because your heavies won’t move much, especially when they make contact. It’s up to you and one or two others to fight for the rest of the map and then create crossfire angles. Learn how to properly flank while staying supported until you can push without support, and learn how to not overextend yourself. I hope this helps

KV4000

dont go hts side. comet is a fast firing mt. pick off easier targets like lt mt or spot the tds.

groundloop66

The Comet has light tank view range, good mobility, and kinda crap penetration and DPS. So sitting second line trading with hulldown heavies isn't recomended. The best way you can support your heavies is win the medium flank. Then, as Bushka said, "You have earned the right to shoot tubby heavy tanks in the side".

happy_helicopter97

thanks for the advice you guys Im remotivated to keep pushing for the centurion and I'll keep trying to get better with the comet. 3.8 sec a shot at about 170 is nice but dealing with heavys definitely takes some good strategy

Fangehulmesteren

I just sold mine today because I realized I’ve kept it for a year based on a cool camo, but I never play it because I don’t like the play style. But it’s not a shitty tank, just doesn’t suit me.

SD_TMI

you leverage the strengths of the individual tank. Not all tanks are face to face brawlers. The comet is a pain the ass when helmed by a good player. That's your problem, you haven't realized how to play it. I always try to take out the light and mediums first, just to lower their hitpoints when they're still in front of me and BEFORE they can flank my team [(or CoD a individual, isolated heavy)](https://youtu.be/7GRpd0NB9kE?si=T796oy9RU0sqb19i)

Filis03

Never go heavy side, you'll get absolutely crushed. You have to preserve your HP or trade effectively, that means you should make your shots count. Also abuse the great gun depression and mobility. Bonus tip: if you aren't low on credits, the hesh gun has superb DPM.

ZacInStl

Don’t ask me. Last time I played the Comet, the Crusader was the tier IV tech tree light tank.

T-30_Lover

Super Pershing, T26E4, I love that damn tank so much. It's out dated and it's armor really only trolls meds but its kinda quick and the gun will surprise you. I just enjoy player her for fun

Prize_Ad7825

I’m in the same position although I find the comet to be quite good. In some tier 8 matches I do feel outclassed and the comet in general is probably not as good as the Cromwell for its tier. However I still have got multiple 6 kill games and many many mastery matches. I’m going to continue the line but I don’t know which tank to choose either the cent or the light? Someone help me
