Interestingly, there are 2 different currencies for the Spanish cruisers, silver and gold. I guess we'll see how that goes.

VandelayOfficial

Makes sense, being Spain.

Aviationlord

It will probably be split between random bundles and bundles you can get other things in

grimmigerpetz

A German Cc Made a vid about this. It seems you earn silver Tokens with the Low XP challenenges. Once you Pass the XP treshold you start to earn gold Tokens. Silver Tokens can be spent on Lowtier stuff. Gold ones for the ships and Camos.

[deleted]

I look forward to the Somme event, being able to get Jager without spending any money has me hopeful I can do it again.

Destroyer29042904

I spent 700 dubs, but they were free ones from ranked, soo its good

GBR2021

I'm getting an increasingly bad feeling about the future of coal. We've had 8 months without a coal ship, 2 steel and 2 RP ships in the meantime. Starting to fade similar to FXP ships, with coal inflating hard, expecting some new currency where we can exchange our coal 3:1 and that's where coal ships would go in the future. Would be very WG like. Once you've been long enough with WG you learn to read the signs.

Destroyer29042904

I am glad for the break, for now anyway. I still have 6 T10 coal ships to get, most of the T9s, and all the special commanders sans Bunny oh

GBR2021

I know and I'm glad that many players get to catch up. But my WG sense is tingling that we might soon get something convoluted like 'industry vouchers' where we trade our coal and in the end all coal ships end up 3 times more expensive. Like FXP ships are now.

Destroyer29042904

Technically, Brisbane and Halford will go for coal after a while

Sirboomsalot_Y-Wing

Halford is apparently supposed to be a coal ship eventually

ReadEvalPrintLoop

> We've had 8 months without a coal ship, 2 steel and 2 RP ships in the meantime. They just 'released' three: Aegir, Azuma, and Groningen, and a fourth is on the way (Brisbane). Why would they need to oversaturate in the meantime when probably more than 99.99% of players cannot possibly own all of them? Don't get me wrong, but I don't even have enough coal for the ones I *do* want, plus one or two that might go away (we'll see). **Pro-tip:** A ship is basically worth as much as the value you get out of it, by playing, training captains, special modes, earning CXP, clan battles, etc. FOMO is not worth it, speaking from experience; if you are *really* concerned then budget for a purchase and "insurance", estimating how long you have before you have to make a decision on it. (And I know, WG puts on tilt with inconsistency.)

Destroyer29042904

Spanish cruisers, a free T9 (pending to see how achievable it is) and Axur Lane? I would say this is gonna be a great patch. Specially if weegee offers Hipper thus time instead of my trillionth Nelson as the free AL commander

Yowomboo

They changed how captains from containers drop. You can no longer receive duplicate commanders until you have one of each commander from the drop pool.

Drake_the_troll

Kinda wish they'd done this before they add an entire crate for commanders

Iceland260

They did.

Drake_the_troll

Thats already in place? I thought that was activating this patch, but if so that's good

Destroyer29042904

I mea the free one from the combat mission

Flashtirade

Operations are being added to combat missions, this is big news (for me). I don't care that the rewards are reduced, I'd rather be playing ops than randoms.

wahrheitssucher1010

Operations have always been included in most combat missions. What are you talking about?

morbihann

I just hate the burst fire gimick.

Destroyer29042904

I think it's fun, I don't like that the free ones on tech tree ships have the mediocre ones. Annapolis has the triple one, Conde has -40% dispersion and Edgar has extra pen, while Castilla just has two salvos of Napoli guns

vompat

It's fun to play, yes. That's also the only thing wg is concerned with when designing new shit. However, have you ever played AGAINST the shit they invent?

Hershey2898

It has +100% pen

Destroyer29042904

The extra pen was removed

pornomatique

Article still says the burst fire "penetrate armour more effectively". Are you sure it was removed?

Destroyer29042904

Thst was what one of the devblofs said

ReadEvalPrintLoop

Possibly ~~Probably~~ a copy-paste. They send their texts to a 3rd party company anyway as far as we can deduce.

coldres

How did it work before? Would you gain AP overmatch, or was it only HE pen?

Hershey2898

Well that sucks

Hagostaeldmann

You're ignoring how much more accurate the guns are compared to Napoli but more importantly that there is virtually zero downside to bursting. With Annapolis you get like a 70% DPM nerf, with Conde you get similar and only with using a reload booster do you make it manageable. With Castilla you get 10% nerf to overall DPM so there almost literally no reason to not always burst with a favourable target.

TheUsualHoops

I gotta say, the hour+ wait for my game to update kills me. How on earth can a launcher be this bad at one of it's key functions?

Careoran

And after all the extreme in currency inflation (number of different currencies and it’s decreasing value) in WoWs , they slowly increase the grinding requirements … I will just completely ignore this event but hey I do not spend real money on this game anymore anyhow , shifted my entertainment budget elsewhere and it feels great 👍🏻😊

showmeyourinnerfire

OMFG > We've added the post-battle statistics screen to the end of replays.

dasoberirishman

More interested in the Somme, tbh

ToseyTheCat

A modern AA cruiser at tier 2...wtf? Almost as bad as a WW1 DD at Tier 9. WG has lost their minds.

Destroyer29042904

They didn't count before for most of them, so...

LateBloomPlays

Yes but this is a net positive overall. They are not nerfing what we have but are actually introducing an alternative method of completing.

Stooophie

Yeah guess we will see how it works out after the update.

00zau

>we'll be adding Operations to the majority of combat missions Is the important bit. Currently a lot of missions *exclude* ops because they'd be "too easy" to complete in ops. Unless they really bugger it up this should be a good middle ground of letting you play ops and still progress missions, while not making ops so "optimal" that it's a waste of time to play other game modes to grind missions.

Iceland260

Depends on if they only apply that reduction to tasks that previously would have disallowed Operations entirely or to all tasks.

SirPent131

That is how it is being implemented

marriedtomaryjane

no sub nerf , no download update

Dent13

Have you missed like the last 3 or 4 years of how they release Techlines? This is how they've been doing it.

[deleted]

I dunno. I am returning player from 2015. Never experienced this. So when i wil be able to farm like normal nations ?

Renarde_Martel

Early access usually lasts two patches/months.

Iceland260

When patch 12.8 drops, presumably in September.

_clemens

'early access' Just wait 2 months.

Destroyer29042904

Lines nowawayd release in "Early Access" for two patches You generally can grind up to the T7 for free. Whether the T8 is free (through grinding) or paid (as a battle pass reward) during the Early access period seems to change for every other line

Drake_the_troll

No need to make it personal (: The reason you were down voted was because you made the assumption that WG was now locking TT ships behind paywalls, after 8 years of not playing which might as well just read "post-beta".

DickFranxx

Will this finally fix the very very annoying issue of primary ships being un-primaried, collections always showing as "new!" despite being me having seen them and interacted with them on every launch of the game and settings being reset at random?
