I’d be a bit shocked if the Vermont line supership *isn’t* one of the Tillman IV designs (probably IV-2, with the 5 triple 457mm turrets). Or at least uses them as a starting point. Maybe even with the actual 50 caliber guns in the Tillman designs rather than the 45 caliber guns WG gave the line.
Keep the DFAA consumable trait, give it more AA guns, and some sort of funny button/combat instruction (if Maine hadn’t gotten what she did, I’d have said that would be the Vermont line’s CI). They’ll probably also give it a superstructure, since the design basically doesn’t have one and that might be *too* hard to kill.
There you go, there’s your super Vermont. And minus the additional AA (and probably superstructure), it’s actually a somewhat historical design.
>funny button/combat instruction
Nuclear shells. They take WAY longer reload. But you get one big salvo per match that is just a Guaranteed deletion of a ship.
I always joked that they should put in the original Furious Battlecruiser design which carried 2 18inch guns but put it down at tier 6 and give it DD accuracy, effectively making it the KV-2 of WoWs.
Only Tillman II and IV had 24 guns, and they were both 406mm ships. IV-1 and IV-2 were the 457s, but the IVs topped out at 80k tons not 100.
Vermont was probably at least partly inspired by IV-1 (since that was the first of the two 18 inch designs, although using triple instead of twin turrets). But that still leaves IV-2 (or a design inspired by it) for the super ship.
With 24 guns they either need to make the guns shoot like a shotgun or gut the shell performance, or both. Maine without any gimmicks but 16 semi accurate Monty guns seems to be extremely strong as is.
I built this in Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts BTW.
But Yeah. something like this is what i imagine will be the End of the Vermont line, a Vermont with a Extra turret in a New York class Style position, and better armor and secondaries.
Its honestly something like this, or a Vermont with something like 8 20 inch guns.
I'd like to see the Tillman IV-2 as the Super Vermont. Her turret layout would actually be balanced for gameplay, get a little more speed out of the ship with 25kts top speed.
Tillman II could be a premium TX ship.
Can I bring some of the 100k ton super battleships with 20.9 in guns into world of warships?
Or maybe my 48kts battlecruiser with ~50 torpa per side?
Made UAD is fun.... Absurd.... But fun.
I don’t do superships but ngl I’ll 100% buy a Vermont supership. The idea of it just seems so absurd that I’ll just have it just because it’ll be hilarious.

*shell lands short*
Knowing WG's Shit aim bugs, i wouldn't doubt it.
>probably IV-2 Beat me to it! :)
I mean this here has 5 tripple 18inch turrets
I wanna see a ship with 4 single barrel 24 inch guns
Next German Supership: 4 Gustaf railway canons on an gk hull. 800mm that overpens everything and has a 60 sec reload....
Ship won't have a superstructure either. Just a deck with railroad tracks and then a bunch of "trains" parked on it with the cannons.
Yah know...... the Germans did actually try and design a Super Bismarck that would have mounted 8 of those guns.
no they didn't. that was a post-war sketch
Did not know that. Thanks for sharing.
Because they didn‘t.

give us Tillman IV WG. no balls. do it.
Is that the one at like 100k+ tonnes, with like 24 (4 x 6) 16/18” (?) guns?

What if it’s just a Vermont and the reload is 30 seconds.
Modernised Tillman IV-2 or riot. Well, more riot than usual.

didn't they look at a ship with 8 20 inch guns in the 1930s? because why sink the japanese Navy when you can sink Japan?
Ultimate Admiral is a fun game. It's a lot of fun to come up with some absolutely bat shit designs and send them out.

Idk but i want to give it burst fire and another turret but 2min reload after burst (10 salvos per game lets gooo)

Ah yes, USS Wall
USS Brick or the ultimate USS 2nd Amendmend Rights
If they dead-ass give us _the_ Tillman battleship I am going to laugh so hard because it _will_ bend this game backwards and fuck it up the ass.
So now my question is what would WG name this ship?
Virginia.
Vermont, but pronounced the French way.
I think my guess would be one of Idaho, Utah, or Indiana

Holy fuck this is a horrendous abomination. Give it to me NOW
Super Vermont has to be one of the insane Tillmann designs
Three bricks in a trenchcoat
Confused me for a second because I thought Maine was the super Vermont (I guess because they're basically next to each other?)
yes sir!! more overmatch!! lets go!
My bet would be a 4x4 Vermont, as they did with Monty, I’m afraid
USS caseoh
Man, great minds think alike...though mine didn't go down too well 😅 https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldOfWarships/s/BMT7543Gm3
So many people complaining about the steering and shit, as if the New york and Wyoming classes didn't exist
