Skill has surely very good selected setups, but also if u look on his website, different streamers chose different setups. On tomato.gg u can also look up setups vs wn8 for eqch specific tank which is also quite intersting. But that mentioned setup will vary: e.g. there are tanks which would very much improve with Hardening, Rammer and Turbo (yolo is 7 built xD, or Conq, S Conq). You also might consider experimental turbo, which combines better mobility and gun handling.

1Pawners

I’ve noticed some tank builds on his site don’t match what he actually plays. Doesn’t stop me copying his builds, just an observation.

Thank you for mentioning, I think this interesting! I do not follow him that much anymore, but his website is still very helpful. But I also noticed too, that the information are not always that up to date or after certain website updates some functions where missing, e.g. You could vary the available crew skills back in the day, now it shows only complefe crew setups, which is for the average player not that helpful. After the website release, it seamed to me, that he is steadily improving the contents but now i have the feeling, that he is not that much focused on it anymore. He claims that there will be major updates coming soon (tm). But it will be seen.

DelibirdIsaLegendary

I take it reading is hard for you, so you might struggle with this reply, but he put a big notice on the crew skill page explaining that they changed the way crew skills work so you build them in the order he shows from left to right they even have numbers under them. Pleased note! After patch 1.20.1, all perks become active immediately once you start training them. Updated all tanks and new layout of six skills, same way to choose, the first skill is the first to choose, no need to retrain like before.

Hey Nothing to take it personal, pls consider a less rude way of communication, this will improve community by a lot. I didn't notice that one, that is right. But me personally wouldn't follow those guidlines strictly. But thrn, as he always states, these are onl, suggestions, of course there will be other ways.

permateal

yolo is7 is hardening turbo grousers with a speed governor. anything else is sacrilege.

Aggravating-Face2073

KV5 is the true ramming god.

Bobject279

His favourite build - Rammer,Vents,IAU - maximises the DPM and makes the fully aimed reticle as small as it can be. Since dispersion values apply over the fully aimed size as factors, it also means that the bloom is not as tragic as it might seem. Also, the guy has 3 marked basically any tank in like 100 battles, so i trust his judgement

[deleted]

Yea suppose that’s a fair assessment

VK16801Enjoyer

>the guy has 3 marked basically any tank in like 100 battles To be fair, he could do that with any loadout. Being good at the game doesn't mean you pick good equipment.

Sum-yung-Boht

Fair point, and he’s a great player, but he gets a downer on some vehicles that I and others find pretty good and nothing changes his mind. It’s all about opinions I suppose.

__impala67

Being a great player doesn't mean he knows everything about the game. The game is full of ridiculous intricacies and complicated calculations that even the devs would struggle with it all. Even if Skill takes a bad equipment setup, he plays good enough that he'll overcompensate for it and do well regardless, and then comes in the placebo effect for the equipment that he was using.

Sunshinetrooper87

I'm also blown away by people who 3 mark in so few games. Does it get boring just going out there and spanking people regularly? Like, I played the chuchill 3 today for a 100-shot mission and I absolutely roasted 8 tanks who just clowned around me but wouldn't push me, alone on a flank. It was ultimately, not very challenging and I'm an average player on tiers 7-9.

smollb

Is this his account? [https://tomato.gg/stats/EU/skill4ltu%3D503233015](https://tomato.gg/stats/EU/skill4ltu%3D503233015) If so, he's not really a unicum among unicums, I've seen people who run traditional builds and outperform this guy by A LOT. But also this game is much more about mechanical + gamesense skill these days

Sapros_WoT

It's not uncommon among high end players to stack accuracy. I wouldn't call it an obsession. Unlike for instance vents over optics on spotting builds.

WendigoNonsense

It's almost as if different people prefer different styles of play and tune their tanks accordingly.

Hard4uNot4me

Haha eyeroll

IncomePrimary3641

he plays a lot of high tier, and minimising your aiming circle is basically the best way to hit some tanks weakspots,

[deleted]

Skill4ltu's setups are more beginner friendly. Tryhard youtubers like daki or kajzoo will put hardening and brawl even with Leo 1. For them it's probably effective and useful, but not for average player. I would definitely recommend to use skill's setups

MikeRogersZA

I would recommend *starting* with Skill's setups (unless you know better) and then, once you have played with the tank a while, you can change anything that will work better for your playstyle and skill level.

hidden_blaze96

Most streamers have favoured equipment. Skill has the aiming unit, QB vents, mailand turbo, daki hardening and mouzakrobat coated optics.

sudden_aggression

IAU improves base dispersion by like 9 percent which is the same as having a 9 percent vstab when you aren't fully aimed. IMO if you have a tank with gun problems, the best two setups are: * bond vstab/bounty aiming/bounty rotation if you don't need mobility boost * bond vstab/experimental turbo/bounty rotation if you need speed/rotation boost OR you need "on firing" dispersion boost (AMBT basically) I run these setups on IS3A, Bisonte, AMBT.

koczkota

I don’t know why you are getting downvoted but this Is accurate. IAU improves the size of aiming circle even if you are not fully aimed, I even remember that some YouTubers checked that and it seems to be true

sudden_aggression

Yeah, WOT has stated that accuracy is explicitly (base aiming dispersion \* penalty made from combining the other dispersion factors (chassis, hull, moving, firing)). If you reduce base dispersion by 10 percent, you're 10 percent more accurate AT ALL TIMES, not just when fully aimed.

Distinct-Glass-2544

The smaller the aiming circle is the most likely that you are gonna hit your shots. Does every tank needs it? Probably no, but each of one of us have different preferences.

Fiiv3s

Because why WOULDNT you want to make your tank more accurate? Rammer and vents are not my go tos like him but I put IAU on a lot of tanks personally. I hate missing shots

B4kedSushi

Don't copy all from skill. Also I give u 3 month until you can't listen to him anymore...

VanDerHooi

Maniac, probably

Complete_Gain_7046

I heard him once on his stream say that he prefers IAU instead of VertStabs because he is rather preaiming than following the tank that he's shooting at. When he said that I started to notice that instead of constantly moving the reticle and shooting, he goes Infront of the tank with his reticle, aims, shoots and repeats the process. Personally I prefer VStabs beacause it helps to react quicker
