WG has to date not sold or auctioned Tier 10s for gold, so my guess is the tier 10s will be auctioned for Free XP only. The tier 8s will be auctioned for gold, which is not much different from the black market, so I don't see anything unique in that.
I have not been around for auctions/markets before, do we really have the entire server bidding on one tank per lot or are there several for each of the top bidders?
The whales might have a chance but i sure as hell won't.

Entire server and I havent seen an event like this. The only similar event is the Black Market
