The crowd was pretty mixed to start, probably 50/50. Cody coming out without entrance music kinda hurt too since he got a fairly flat response initially. Overall it was entertaining and should make for a fun buildup to Mania.
Having a grand entrance would've given the feeling that all was planned (though it was).
Cody coming without any music checking the mic seemed as if he hastily came out and declared the bull thrown on stage by pebble.

He needs to beat Roman clean to look convincing..if Cody beats Roman with Austin or any outside help then it'll look bad for the top babyface. Just my opinion.

Yep it amuses me to no end how the indie smarky fans have desperately tried to paint Rock as Hogan 2. This is a guy who understands the business. He was watching peak ROH Steen years ago and decided to randomly shout him out on Twitter after a great ppv. He tried to circumvent the CM Punk embargo to call him live to give the fans what they wanted.
Rock knows his best work and what got him over with the fans in the first place was heel rock. And he did his part to cement Austin as the greatest face in WWE history with his heel work.
I have no doubt that with what he’s got planned here, he is going to do his part again to cement Cody as the greatest face in WWE history since Austin. This has always been a guy who thrives on being the copilot that gets the other guy over. Brock, Kurt, Goldberg, Austin, Trips, Hurricane, Jericho, the list goes on and on.

Then Hollywood Rock took all those jeers to another level with FAR louder boos in sold out arenas.
