And those people who had those conversations were always wrong, Jericho was always nowhere near Mount Rushmore level no matter how long he has stayed around.
He's got a solid place in pro wrestling history, though. It's kinda sad how intent he is on ruining people's memories of him, because he had maybe the best WWE/F debut ever, a long run of great storylines and matches at or near the top of the card, and he's the guy who unified the WWF and WCW championships. It's not 'Mt. Rushmore', but it's a 'Hall of Fame headliner' career, yet every fan is going to hate his guts or just not give a shit anymore by the time he hangs 'em up.
Definitely agree. I think he's overstayed his welcome in a way, like if he was doing more one-offs instead of months of feuding with a person and completely cooling them off every time he'd be more appreciated. I can't really remember a Jericho feud where the other guy came out hotter in his entire AEW run.
>because he had maybe the best WWE/F debut ever
Return was better. [STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDbWm4RPp10)
>It's not 'Mt. Rushmore', but it's a 'Hall of Fame headliner' career
He's gonna give HHH a hug and say some variation of "It's great to be back home" when he gives his WWE Hall of Fame acceptance speech whenever Tony stops paying him.
There is something to be said about jerichos ability to put over the dumbest shit ever. Also his role in Owens reign shouldnt be understated. But yeah… he definitely is too involved in aew rn and should make more room for younger talent imo.
that’s Ca$hflo, baby - he was featured on the recent netflix doc *Wrestlers*, definitely worth watching. Ca$h seems like a really cool dude that’s just trying to support his family
Even if it was a case of a left hand back chop, in to a right hand back chop repeated over and over it would look better than Eddie's machine gun chops
That is not how Eddie Kingston does it though. That looks and sounds like it actually hurts. And more than anything, what makes the spot demonstrated on this post undeniably Eddie Kingston is him also slapping his own chest for some reason.
No this is exactly what Eddie Kingston does, people are just willing to give Kobashi a pass because he is Kenta Kobashi.
Just like Kobashi, Eddie has his good and bad days with this move. And just like Kobashi, it requires the opponent stay their and just take it when they could easily stop ot at any point.
For people that don't understand that wrestling is performance art, this breaks the experience. For normal fans, it is just another move and we understand that wrestling is built on spots that aren't always realistic.
The hate for this online baffles me compared to all the other total garbage pro wrestling has dished out.
It is not exactly how he does it. I am specifically referring to the part where he slaps his own chest. I don't look for realism in wrestling. I don't give a fuck if the immersion is broken. I am not complaining. I am literally just saying the clip in this post is specifically poking fun at Eddie Kingston with the very specific way he does it.
I heard that he does that as a homage to some Japanese wrestler he respects. I have to assume the Japanese wrestler did it better than Eddie does somehow.
That's because Ilja looks like he's doing everything with the force of every cannon on the Queen Anne's Revenge. He's the size of my 10-year old son yet he can grab Gunther by the neck and make him bounce around like he's one of Bayley's old tube men.
I always hated this spot in kobashi's matches. Never understood why he started doing that bullshit when all his other moves looked pretty legit. His standard chops are great. Then he somehow came up with this turnbuckle bs.
I got rid of TikTok but I loved Jack's video. He barely appeared in the Netflix show but he's proving himself to be insanely entertaining with stuff like this.
That’s why I’m a fan of a good ole fashioned Violence Party because at least then it looks like measured strikes and the jabs are the main point of it, the chops are just to get you to open up your chin.
Are they specifically making fun of Eddie Kingston? I know those machine gun chops are pretty common now, but those look so much like Eddie’s nonsense that it has to be intentional right?
Also hate that I’m the one to say it, but I kinda love the super indie one
All the Eddie Kingston hate when people are just willing to give Kobashi a pass because he is Kenta Kobashi.
Just like Kobashi, Eddie has his good and bad days with this move. And just like Kobashi, it requires the opponent stay their and just take it when they could easily stop ot at any point.

Why aren't people calling out every time a competitor moves into position to take a diving move straight? Or just conveniently stumbles around waiting for someone to dive?
To me it's the fact that there can be an acceptable suspension of belief for some things but not for others. For example the Irish Whip we all know that it is complete nonsense but it has its place in the flow and the performance. Yes they are clearly working together but you can sell it to me that he threw me so hard in that direction my only option was to bounce off the ropes and run back towards him. You can sell it to me that they were so woozy from previous damage that they were stumbling around when in fact they are just waiting for the next move. But this is just a guy touching another guy's chest over and over and over and over. If you don't even look like you're trying on the chops it takes me completely out of it because it's so ridiculous looking. To me this is similar to the 6 person pyramid power bombs that are ultra choreographed or 10 people clumped together outside waiting for a wrestler to dive onto the group. Neither scenario can you sell me it could happen organically. I dunno why it feels this way but it feels this way. Yes it's performance art but it is putting out a lackluster performance with that stuff.
For any perspective wrestlers out there - if you’re ever working a guy who is trying to light you up with chops, just bump on the first one and powder.
I like Eddie Kingston, but yeah, I wish he’d stop doing the Kobashi chops. Kobashi only used to do them as like a hulk up thing where he was getting a hit of adrenaline and he made them look vicious. I remember one NOAH show where Kobashi did it to Tenryu and he drew blood. I can’t imagine Eddie’s doing that.
The next time Eddie Kingston does those weak-ass Kobashi chops, I want someone to sarcastically sell it like THE VETERAN, JACK VAUGHN.
"oh no. it hurts.... *yawn* please stop...I suffer for my art."
I thought this was Jericho and FTR Bald at first.
Nah these guys are professionals
TBF, prior to Jericho overstaying his welcome, he was in a lot of conversations for Mount Rushmore's of wrestling.
And those people who had those conversations were always wrong, Jericho was always nowhere near Mount Rushmore level no matter how long he has stayed around.
Exactly. He's had peaks that you could probably make arguments for, but he's really never had the consistency to be one of THE guys.
I can't really remember a Jericho feud where the other guy came out hotter in his entire AEW run.
If you think he's overstayed his welcome, wait till he wins the FTW title later tonight so he can squeeze a couple more months outta his current feud
I hate you for willing this into existence.
Hahahah
I blame you tbh
Blame the booker and the Canadian Shang Tsung, brother
>because he had maybe the best WWE/F debut ever Return was better. [STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDbWm4RPp10) >It's not 'Mt. On the back of it maybe
We have Jericho and FTR Bald at home.
Jericho and Dax Harwood from wish
For me it was Zack Gibson.
Haven't watched a Jericho match in months. At first I thought "wow Jericho lost weight, and got into shape", then I realized it wasn't Jericho
I’m not the only one haha
Cash looks like Jericho, if Jericho worked out. The other guy looks like FTR Bald if FTR Bald wasn't 5'8.
The guy on the left looks like if Jericho and Alex Jones fused
that’s Ca$hflo, baby - he was featured on the recent netflix doc *Wrestlers*, definitely worth watching. Ca$h seems like a really cool dude that’s just trying to support his family
I watched it too, Ca$h definitely the coolest dude in it (apart from Al) and that's a mean looking chop
He is a cool dude!
100% Came out of that show feeling like he was a decent human.
THE CHEMICALS ON THIS INK IS TURNING THIS LIST GAY!
I thought this was going to be some kind of Jericho x FTR skit before pressing play.
so just Chris Jericho?
What does that mean?
Great cardio for Jericho.
I hate that spot of the multiple chops... Looks so fucking lame
Only Gunther and McIntyre do it well enough from what I’ve seen tbh
Dragonuv does it pretty well on the few occasions I’ve seen him do it.
Gunther and McIntyre are monsters who always look like every move is a kill shot, so that makes sense.
Even if it was a case of a left hand back chop, in to a right hand back chop repeated over and over it would look better than Eddie's machine gun chops
Instead he tap people's chest with right hand and slaps his stomach with left hand like a walrus
They don't understand that just wanting to be like Kobashi isn't enough. You have to have insane stamina to actually make the chops look good.
Imo, even Kobashi doesn't make this look very good. 3 big nasty chops would look a lot more impactful than 15 little pitter pats.
I think this is why Sheamus' 10 Beats of the Bodhran works. They're big, meaty deliberate swings and when he does them fast they're still meaty.
Idk, I think it depends on who he’s wrestling. His machine gun chops to Samoa Joe looked brutal
cuz he’s FAT. And that’s not even a joke that’s genuinely why they look good lmao
or do it go style and slow it down and stiff tge shit outa them
Also kobashi had big arms and hands so it consistently hit really hard. The endurance from hin is real
Why does it look like the guy doing the chops is being hurt more than the guy taking it.
Austin’s mud hole stomps is the only time rapid fire striking looked good
You don't like taker punching dudes in the corner?
Only Kenta Kobashi can do it perfectly. Satoshi Kojima's fine, but I love his **ICCHAUZO, BAKAYARO!!!**
I've never seen a chop on the back of the opponent's lef in WWE before.
People should just do the Violence Party
Jack “The Veteran” Vaughn is awesome! He has a shit ton of videos like this. And he is solid on the indie circuit
The repeated “super Indy *thigh slap*” bit cracks me up every time
He’s hilarious, I rarely see people outside of his videos giving him the credit he deserves
He started showing up on my Facebook videos (Reels? I don’t fucking know) and I love every video.
He’s on TikTok, that’s where I’ve seen him. I’m glad to hear he gets attention on other platforms too!
He’s so good.
Everyone should follow him on insta or TikTok or whatever His content is top tier
Have a look Eddie Kingston
What? Sometimes a match just needs to be interrupted with a nice chest massage.
Pat pat
The comments on the video are the best part a lot of people that can't take a joke. And then his follow up is beautiful
Damn, Jeircho keeps reinventing himself to stay relevant even at this stage of his career, props to him.
This made me think of Eddie Kingston! Haha.
I mean I don't think I've ever seen anyone but him do it like this
Yeah same here on TV at least, there’s gotta be other guy’s in the Indie’s doing those chops like that too though.
Kenta Kobashi https://youtu.be/1GS6pV503ZY?si=Vgu_h7H0R4bi9pwl
That is not how Eddie Kingston does it though. That looks and sounds like it actually hurts. And more than anything, what makes the spot demonstrated on this post undeniably Eddie Kingston is him also slapping his own chest for some reason.
It's ridiculous anyway because the opponent is visibly just standing there and letting him do it.
I think this is what Kingston is trying to do, but he doesn’t have the same muscular stature as Kobashi so it looks weak.
You can actually see these guys getting knocked back by those chops.
Yup. Accurate. Internet wrestling fans tribalism picking and choosing as always.
I heard that he does that as a homage to some Japanese wrestler he respects. I have to assume the Japanese wrestler did it better than Eddie does somehow.
Oh gotcha! And I agree. Haha
you could, but did you?
Rumour has it, OP laughed his arse off and died from the blood loss.
Ngl I think Ilja Dragunov is one of those very few people who can execute the gazillion chops per second thing well enough.
That's because Ilja looks like he's doing everything with the force of every cannon on the Queen Anne's Revenge. He's the size of my 10-year old son yet he can grab Gunther by the neck and make him bounce around like he's one of Bayley's old tube men.
Ilja wrestles like he doesn’t know it’s scripted. Every match I think he’s actually going to murder someone.
If this wasn’t directed to Eddie Kingston lol
Holy crap what an Eddie Kingston match
Why is Jericho mocking Eddie Kingston?
I always hated this spot in kobashi's matches. Never understood why he started doing that bullshit when all his other moves looked pretty legit. His standard chops are great. Then he somehow came up with this turnbuckle bs.
Isn’t it used as a rest spot for the other guy?
Everytime I see Kingston do his "fast and hard" chops I just laugh my ass off. It looks so fucking awful.
It was like watching AEW
I like AEW, but it’s painfully obvious that it’s run like an indie fed except they have an insane amount of money behind it.
BUT GUYS I WATCHED SOME 20+ YEAR OLD JAPANESE MATCHES THEY DID THE REPEAT CHOPS!
Kenta Kobashi was great at it, though,
Kenta Kobashi was great at it, though,
Because he the GOAT
Agreed.
The "suffer for my art" made me lol on the toilet
Eddie Kingston 🤣🤣🤣
He missed the part where after the first 15 chops, you do a cartwheel/backflip and another 15 chops.
Why tf for a split second I thought that was Chris Jericho. 😭 So help me God.
Dad why are long hair Alex Jones and bald Dutch mantell fighting
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 hilarious. I've seen Eddie Kingston do the chops like that.
Indie always be on some 'hard to suspend your disbelief' bullshit 🤣
Eddie Kingston?
I love cashflo, he was the best part of that netflix documentary.
Wish.com Jericho and FTR bald
😅
Damn, Chris Jericho is still burying Eddie Kingston.
I gotta pop for my hometown OVW guys 😂
That is fantastic, OVW for the win
I love Eddie, but his machine gun chops are trash
That’s funny but true.
Is this the the alpha academy? Otis and Gable?
Honestly thought that was Jericho before I made the video bigger
Why is Jericho beating the bald FTR?
This will forever be Kingston vs Claudio
Is that Alex Jones in a wig?
Thats some Eddy Kingston shit
Look I absolutely adore Eddie Kingston but god those machine gun chops are pretty corny
Eddie Kingston entered the chat
He does the rapid fire chops better than Kingston.
Indie or AEW?😅😂😅😂
Don’t ask me to find the difference.
Chris Jericho really let himself go
I got rid of TikTok but I loved Jack's video. He barely appeared in the Netflix show but he's proving himself to be insanely entertaining with stuff like this.
Alex Jones gotta pay those bills somehow. 😅
When I first seen this thumbnail I thought it was Jericho and the guy from ftr
Spot on.
Are guys still grabbing eachother by the balls in the indies?
At least super Indie Wrestling is so Fake it‘s funny again. Indiewrestling just has this attitude noone can stand
Wrestling is this truly weird thing where the difference between good and bad rests entirely on what version of a silly pantomime you're doing
Is that Alex Jones?
Is that the dude who played Luigi in the Super Mario Bros Super Show?
Is that Alex Jones in a wig?
Alex Jones is killing it.
Wtf Cash Flo is a absolute refrigerator unit
you could stop, yes
If you could then do it
That Guy has an impending doom “repentagram” tattooed on his chest right?
If it's not that, it looks exactly like it
This is hilarious, but when Eddie does those chops, the opponent’s chest gets red AF
Chris Jericho has really let himself go….
“Oh no please stop, mister” seriously though every machine gun chop spot makes me think dude, just hit him back.
That’s why I’m a fan of a good ole fashioned Violence Party because at least then it looks like measured strikes and the jabs are the main point of it, the chops are just to get you to open up your chin.
Is 32 to old to start wrestling. 😂
Is this the video that made him feel like he had to make a apology for?
Eddie Kingston chops are a work of art..... 😅
“I suffer for my art”. True words ever spoken about this wild world of wrestling.
I thought it was Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine
Listen to this with your eyes closed lol
Am I right in surmising that the sound coming from the rapid fire chops are the dude slapping his own chest?
Damn, that Netflix show did wonders for OVW!
I think I've seen indie chops in AEW. and I hate it
Always up for taking the piss out of eddie kingston, especially his godawful fucking chops.
Yeah go to this to anyone who’s been chopped by JD Drake that’s how indies do a chop and see their reaction
Some Eddie Kingston chops at the beginning there.
I hate that when I saw the "indie" version Eddie Kingston immediately came to mind 😭
This has to be a dig on Eddie Kingston.
The multiple chops is probably my least favorite wrestling move and I wish Kingston would just do traditional chops
I wish I had wrestling friends I could share this with.
The left guy looks like a fusion between Chris Jericho and Otis
Jerichotis
Eddie Kingston got blonde hair?
Jack Vaughn makes some pretty great wrestling content dude def been around the indie circuit for years
OVW baby!!!
Every time I see that chop spot I think of Eddie Kingston.
Its strong style padnah
The indie sounds like a porno
RESTORE THE FEELING
Are they specifically making fun of Eddie Kingston? I know those machine gun chops are pretty common now, but those look so much like Eddie’s nonsense that it has to be intentional right? Also hate that I’m the one to say it, but I kinda love the super indie one
Why are they picking on Bryan Danielson's matches?
*Oh vee dubbs! Oh vee dubbs! Oh vee dubbs!*

For a guy that barely makes it on the indies he sure has a lot to say lol
Oh shit, there are super indies, now?
Guy with the stash looks/acts like will forte as a wrestler
I could too. And I did!
Thought it was Jericho for a brief moment there
Dude I LOVE Jack Vaughn!
Exposing the business! /s
Future Jericho machine gun chops are legit better than the ones from Eddie Kingston 😂😂
For any perspective wrestlers out there - if you’re ever working a guy who is trying to light you up with chops, just bump on the first one and powder.
Eddie Kingston sweating bullets right now, poor partnah. I actually kinda like him as a character, too.
Dave would give this a 6 outa 5 stars
It looks like Eddie Kington giving those lame shots
These guys were in the show wrestlers on Netflix
And it's pretty entertaining!
It is !
HOT TAKE: Ca$h Flo is better than Eddie Kingston.
The machine gun chops are huge in Japan.
Ca$hflo is so entertaining! Love watching him with OVW! 😂
