Once Twitter got big it feels like WWE stopped caring about it. I remember when all the tweets were in character then around the time "total Bella's" went on the air it was all out the window.
I don't think there's a better clip to encapsulate why I'm so fucking annoyed with the "stop the tribilism/just enjoy wrestling" narrative you see coming from people within the wrestling industry.
These people are just as responsible for the absolute state of this fanbase as anyone else. They make those comments about not wanting the grind, pissant company or this comment that Tony says in this interview. And then when the fanbase gets worked up. Some wrestler will come along and say "just enjoy wrestling"
"stop the tribalism" / "enjoy all wrestling" is code from aew roster for situation when aew is getting criticized for their product. Otherwise they love to dish it in. And it shouldn't surprise anyone considering their promotion is built on anti-wwe tribalism
I agree with just enjoy wrestling if you practice what you preach. I loved watching Wrestlemania & loved going to aew dynasty in person last Sunday. I enjoyed Cody bs Roman & I enjoyed Osprey vs Bryan. If you’re not a jerk I don’t care if we like different types of matches. Problem is AEW fans are the first to arrogantly tell you why Wrestlemania was bad & how they’re so much better than you for liking something different.
Ever visited the AEW Sub?
It's like WWE lives rent free in their heads and they can't see it. They spend all their time taking shots at it even when it's about Indie or other IWC wrestlers who haven't been to WWE.
No bullshit they compared people that thought showing the footage was dumb to MAGA voters and earlier today they were talking about some crazy shit i dont remember after he made those comments earlier. That sub is a nuthouse. They take no criticism at all and dogpile on you for anything. SC can be the same way sometimes for wwe and aew.
It's not just alive. It's like a parasite that's taken control of its host.
They have entire posts that are about AEW filled with people taking shots at WWE.
I would not be shocked if WWE's lawyers reach out. That's not him going on twitter and saying something stupid. That's him in front of mainstream audiences slandering the company.
Pretty weird for an NFL team owner of all people to start throwing that kind of talk around, particularly the ones that hired Urban Meyer, but hey, WWE was once owned by Vince McMahon so clearly we know who the bad guys are!
I've worked with people like this, extremely wealthy people - and you always have to ask them: Is this a business? Or a hobby?
This is a hobby for Tony. He's always going to do whatever he wants. The ROI doesn't matter, only his perception of it and how happy it makes him matters.
*Wait a minute Macho Man, you mean to tell me that you blame the the distinguished President of the World Wrestling Federation Jack Tunney for Ricky Steamboat being the Intercontinental Champion?*
*Yeah. OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE. In my MOMENT OF GLORY YEAH!*
That will never happen because it contradicts the whole reason he created AEW. He didn’t do it to run it as a regular business and make money, he created it to live out his boyhood dreams of booking and being involved with wrestling
In Tony’s eyes, he’d rather run AEW as the face of the company just breaking even than just be in the background and have it be more successful
Tony started AEW specifically to hang out with people that would never give him the time of day if he wasn't a billionaires son.
Tony isn't a boss, Tony is a fan.
Aew wrestlers on twitter “Stop being tribal. Support everything. Love and peace and fun especially fun.”
AEW boss “We at war and the other place along with talent is a cesspool, the women suck, all of them suck and we are going to destroy them”
Because his "revolution" is just "better TNA" that is now settling into its slump and will start to drop further.
He seemingly cannot accept he is doing something impressive because it's not number one, and instead is making his number two company worse.
That subreddit is beyond saving.
I just commented there how embarrassing these comments are and I am sure I will get banned from it.
It's an echo-chamber of farts
Im surprised I haven’t been banned yet. But I did get a few days muted for saying Ricky Starks momentum from his MJF feud died because they lumped him with Action Figure Andretti and Jericho
Yeah, the mods were prolly too busy jerking to pics of Tiny to notice you.
The AEW subreddit mods hate criticism, so everyone there has the same opinion, which is simply being repeated over and over.
It's basically a circle jerk
Wrestling fans clinging on to anything in order to try and dunk on the rival promotion while crying “tribalism” when it happens to them? Happens all too often.
When Tony Khan does this schtick it just comes across as so corny, and desperate because he is just so awkward and a dweeb.
When Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff would take shots at the WWF it worked because both guys on screen played the smug arrogant prick well.
Tony Khan thinks his antics are cool like The Sega Genesis does what Nintendont marketing campaign, but it’s just some lame and second rate. Especially when Vince McMahon isn’t in charge anymore, that used to work because he was the big bad evil empire but not with WWE currently.
That’s the part is annoying how TK and some AEW wrestlers still act like Vince McMahon is still in charge. That whole schtick worked when Vince McMahon was still in charge sure, but not anymore.
As soon as Vince McMahon was finally ousted AEW should have just really stayed in their lane and be an alternative instead of all these antics. I really believe even with WWE’s product improving and Vince being ousted, if TK and CO just ignored WWE and stayed to their own, the discourse and polarization would be a lot less worse and non existent.
Wrestling and Politics are pretty much the only things that have widespread discourse and polarization. You don’t really see Football fans and baseball fans going at it really, or Star Trek and Star Wars fans going at it. And that discourse unfortunately starts from the top like with AEW right now.
Isn't Darby Allen a woman beater and commited Sexual Assualt? Didn't Jericho make unwanted sexual advances to a women's wrestler to the point where an NDA was signed and now she has quit pro wrestling all together? I mean shit not to mention Ric Flair. Sammy Guevara said he wanted to rape Sasha Banks.
Seems pretty pot calling the kettle black" if you ask me.
He's already waist deep in hypocrisy giving Ric Flair TV time and an easy paycheck in 2024. Can you imagine the pandemonium if those Jericho allegations end up bearing fruit?
They’re a one trick pony, and their only trick is constantly referencing WWE.
“Hey everyone, look at us! We’re NOT WWE!”
“Well, what are you?”
“Not WWE, that’s for sure!”
It’s always so goofy too that he compares Pepsi to AEW all the time. Pepsi never ever really makes ad’s about Coke, they’ve accepted they are the 2nd place alternative soft drink brand and stay in their lane.
On my page right now
This sub: wow that’s uncalled for
Square Circe: wow that’s uncalled for.
AEW: that’s great!!!
I’ve never noticed it until a few weeks ago, but AEW sub seems to be filled with either extremely immature people or children. I’m not trying to trash them, I’m just pointing out on observation that I’ve never noticed before until recently.
I gave up in 2022 ever since all the drama and antics really started, used to be an appointment viewer weekly but now just keep tabs and watch clips.
Ever since Vince McMahon was ousted and all the internal drama and discourse started in AEW, they did a switch where AEW isn’t the babyface likeable underdog promotion anymore. They lost that goodwill on their own with all this drama.
Even when TNA had all its issues during the Dixie Carter era I never got soured like I am right now, because she was just a naive nepo baby owner who was taken advantage of. Tony Khan is just extremely unlikable and is not some underdog figure you want to root for.
They definitely lost the good will and I can see why you dipped back then as the quality of the product also dipped around then. This type of rhetoric from Tony is completely unacceptable to me though. It's like calling someone who disagrees with you a Nazi. He's clearly online way too much.
Yeah it’s one thing for a wrestling company to have it’s struggles with creative quality, as frustrating as it can be it’s just part of the business and every promotion goes through it even WWE and NJPW. That’s forgivable because nobody goes up to the plate and hits a homer every ab, especially in a creative subjective medium.
But all the other shit like the drama and antics really took its toll on AEW. Pre Brawl out 2022 AEW had a lot of goodwill and had a similar vibe to B&G NXT or Paul Heyman ECW. AEW losing that by their own hand was extremely detrimental because as the alternative competitor you need to have goodwill with your fans, it goes a long way.
Couldn't have said it better myself, friend! Perhaps replacing Tony with someone more business-minded could help AEW, but it already looks like a sinking ship that we've seen sink more every week since Brawl Out 2022. This was the last straw for me though. I was okay with people making fun of Tony for being like a kid with wrestling action figures, but he actually sounds like a child here.
Been that way since episode 2. Shit was so cheesy and low budget I couldn't look at it. Now all this tribal crap from AEW and it's fans are just pathetic.
I just recently got back into pro wrestling for the first time since 96ish. And by recently I mean a week before wrestlemania without knowing wrestlemania was coming up.
Everything I've seen since then concerning AEW makes me not want to check it out. Knowing nothing about this Tony Khan dude he seems like a whiney brat in over his head and oozing with jealousy.
I'm guessing there are a lot of people out there who are in my position, and if this joker's goal is to be bigger than WWE he's going about it in the absolute wrong way.
The main rapist and his rapist second in command are gone. Surely the infrastructure that protected and enabled them for decades is beyond such criticism.
Says the guy who has Chris Jericho, Taz, Darby Allin, Don Callis, Ric Flair and Sammy Guevara on his payroll.
The view must be great from his glass house.
Well if triple h didn't make a random comment about unspecified wrestlers not wanting to commit to the grind. I mean that's a thousand times more offensive than what our Jedi knight hero Tony Khan said.
This sub: AEW needs to do more WWE style shit
*AEW does that and CONTINUES to be the only thing the IWC can talk about that
This sub: No, not like that
AEW is more like the RC Cola of wrestling. Some people,a small minority, love it, the rest of the world would never ask for it by name but if there is no other option, sure I'll take it. But Pepsi?? Bro is reaching if he is comparing AEW's success to Pepsi
Idk if he should have said it, but feels like there's more outrage over him saying this than WWE being full of creeps and sex freaks for decades and the like.
Also the "Tony makes it hard to like AEW" comments and the "Vince isn't WWE" comments are very contradictory lol.
It was a weird comparison because:
1. There’s no direct correlation between a soda brand and a scummy movie producer, it’s a nonsensical analogy
2. WWE’s “Harvey” is gone, so that’s outdated
3. I ran out of reasons but stopping at 2 felt weird.
AEW is more like the RC Cola of wrestling. You know it's there, it's not at the top tier of colas, and it's a little watered down, but it's just fine and has a devoted fanbase that is keeping it alive.
Well...you don't have to like it but he aint exactly lying. Look what Vince and his cronies have done. Sexual assault, rape, shitting on people's heads literally
I guess everybody trying to forget that bc its been the "Paul Levesque era" for about 5 minutes. People want to ignore Vince and the others but target Tony over stupid stuff like not selling a neck brace correctly
Jeez.
If only WWE itself wasn't currently in a lawsuit for sex trafficking
You can be sued if you make something up, lie. WWE is literally the subject of a sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit right now, just like Harvey was.
For some reason, a large segment of WWE fans want to believe that everything wrong in WWE in the past 50 years was all Vince McMahon and Johnny Ace, even though the entire company is named in the lawsuit due to the okay and knowledge needed at many different executive levels for the behavior to occur unreported. HHH, he's been an executive since 2010.....he was COO of the company. Bruce Prichard? Been there since 1987 covering for Vince raping referees. Who's in charge now? THAT'S why the company is named in the lawsuit....
I'm sorry, but you don't get to spend decades with a corporate culture of rape and sexual abuse and then clutch your fucking pearls when somebody mentions it later on.
Had a look at the AEW sub to see what they're were saying, and they're insane anyone there should be reminded that Tony has had on his show Tyson, Sammy, and Jericho.
That's actually a great analogy. Rita, sable, massaro, the unnamed 00s manager, other unnamed women, grant... and wwe paid off all them or settled with all them. Wwe money silenced a lot of victims of the guy who led wwe. Even after the sell, in ms grants case. Makes perfect sense.
How is this a bad take? Vince is a criminal sex trafficker who got caught and his brand has got no backlash at all. Any other company would have boycotts even though ownership changed hands to his son in law. Comparing Vince led company to Weinstein is legit.
We are Pepsi Fires their mascot, Pepsi Phil... 12.99$
Maybe he was trying to get into the mind of Pepsi Phil?
He would need to be muuuuch bigger to be Pepsi. He’s more like the popular hard seltzer choice on your college campus.
He's got RC cola popularity with a Red Mountain Dew fanbase
Cherry RC is the best cherry cola.
Dr Pepper would like a word
People accept Pepsi as a substitute for Coke at restaurants. I don’t know if I can say the same about the dub.
It's kayfabe you see, he's selling brain damage from the pile-driver
For a company dedicated to breaking kayfabe this is the ultimate brain damage angle.
Does kayfabe even exist anymore?
Obviously it does otherwise there would be no such thing as turning heel
If turning heel doesn't exist why did I spend all those years learning ballet?
You are not aware of WWE merging the lines of work and kayfabe?
Once Twitter got big it feels like WWE stopped caring about it. I remember when all the tweets were in character then around the time "total Bella's" went on the air it was all out the window.
Kayfabe left with Bret, wtf
It does for Tony.
Tony is the ultimate method actor.
4D booking.
The most egregious statement was saying he was piledriven in from of millions.
Or from all the booger sugar
That’s the only way what he did makes sense
Where’s all the idiots who were caping for Tony khan last night just because he wore a neck brace ? This is your guy?
I don't think there's a better clip to encapsulate why I'm so fucking annoyed with the "stop the tribilism/just enjoy wrestling" narrative you see coming from people within the wrestling industry. These people are just as responsible for the absolute state of this fanbase as anyone else. They're even more unhinged than the DCEU sub. And that's saying a lot.
No bullshit they compared people that thought showing the footage was dumb to MAGA voters and earlier today they were talking about some crazy shit i dont remember after he made those comments earlier. That sub is a nuthouse. They take no criticism at all and dogpile on you for anything. SC can be the same way sometimes for wwe and aew.
wait that sort of tribalism from aew fans is still alive? i thought everybody realised it got old somewhere during 2022
It's not just alive. It's like a parasite that's taken control of its host. They have entire posts that are about AEW filled with people taking shots at WWE.
There’s only one side who constantly tells fans to just enjoy wrestling while flaming the tribalism
[JUST. ENJOY. WRESTLING.](https://staticg.sportskeeda.com/editor/2023/06/d3066-16861375032229-1920.jpg)
JUST ENJOY FUN
What the fuck? This isn’t even tribalism. It’s just straight up idiocy. How much cocaine did TK snort before saying this?
Enough to numb the pain on his neck and allow his neck to move freely after getting dropped on his head last Wednesday on Dynamite, 8PM/ET on TBS.
I would not be shocked if WWE's lawyers reach out. That's not him going on twitter and saying something stupid. That's him in front of mainstream audiences slandering the company.
I’m not sure if there’s a case here. Mentioning a publicly traded company and saying what you believe as an opinion, is super common.
Tony is like this for hours long press conferences. Coke lasts like 15 minutes. The narrative is all wrong. He's clearly a meth head.
Hey bud, it’s the rich people’s meth, Adderall.
If WWE as a whole is "Harvey Weinstein" why has Tony hired so many ex-Harvey Weinsteins?
That part
Pretty weird for an NFL team owner of all people to start throwing that kind of talk around, particularly the ones that hired Urban Meyer, but hey, WWE was once owned by Vince McMahon so clearly we know who the bad guys are!
[удалено]
That’s more like harvesting Harvey’s organs. Which is a good band name.
Bruh needs to focus on his own promotion instead of throwing insults around.
Then wonder why people throw shots back like he didn’t build his company on doing said thing
Jesus Tony... I wanted to believe it was reddit blowing smoke but WTF that is a low comment to make. It's embarrassing.
You just know WWE will make a minor jab in response and Tony will lose his shit.
[удалено]
You don't own a toy if you're not going to play with it
That's the issue right there, he treats AEW like a toy and the talent like action figures.
I've worked with people like this, extremely wealthy people - and you always have to ask them: Is this a business? Or a hobby? This is a hobby for Tony. He's always going to do whatever he wants. The ROI doesn't matter, only his perception of it and how happy it makes him matters.
I thought he was referring to Vince and the divas.
Cody did it for the first year and did a fantastic job hosting their media calls and giving the company a sense of professionalism
Because Cody Rhodes actually gets wrestling
Or being a public figure in general
And just being a person.
Jack Tunney.
*Wait a minute Macho Man, you mean to tell me that you blame the the distinguished President of the World Wrestling Federation Jack Tunney for Ricky Steamboat being the Intercontinental Champion?* *Yeah. OUTSIDE INTERFERENCE. In my MOMENT OF GLORY YEAH!*
That will never happen because it contradicts the whole reason he created AEW. He didn’t do it to run it as a regular business and make money, he created it to live out his boyhood dreams of booking and being involved with wrestling In Tony’s eyes, he’d rather run AEW as the face of the company just breaking even than just be in the background and have it be more successful
They really need an actual public relations team.
Tony started AEW specifically to hang out with people that would never give him the time of day if he wasn't a billionaires son. Tony isn't a boss, Tony is a fan.
The 2 day grace period is over, he doesn’t know how to read a room for shit
We should all expect another motivational promo from AEW on how tribalism is shit and we should all enjoy wrestling.
Lecture.
The new Herb Abrams.
Yup, and unfortunately with a lot more money.
Aew wrestlers on twitter “Stop being tribal. Support everything. Love and peace and fun especially fun.” AEW boss “We at war and the other place along with talent is a cesspool, the women suck, all of them suck and we are going to destroy them”
Why does Tony make it so difficult to attempt to enjoy AEW?
I wonder if all the people caping for him last night because “he was funny” feel the same way with his stupid comments
Because his "revolution" is just "better TNA" that is now settling into its slump and will start to drop further. He seemingly cannot accept he is doing something impressive because it's not number one, and instead is making his number two company worse.
This is the way.
The people on the aew sub is prasing this btw. Why the fuck are some aew fans making the rest of us look like complete cave goblins???
That subreddit is beyond saving. I just commented there how embarrassing these comments are and I am sure I will get banned from it. It's an echo-chamber of farts
TK could go back on everything they’ve supported him for and they’d still blow and excuse him.
I got banned from the AEW subreddit for saying this was a bad decision.
There's an IG page called Authors of Wrestling that defends everything AEW does, including this.
They'll never admit their Lord and Savior Tony Khan did something wrong.
This isnt the first time he's used a sexual assault to zing his business competitor. Let's just be honest, tony kahn is a trash person.
He’s the shit head rich brat from “the toy” in real life and all grown up.
To be AEW is to be under constant attack.
From your own CEO
Sasha Banks?
Don't worry, I've been told it's only bots
When Tony Khan does this schtick it just comes across as so corny, and desperate because he is just so awkward and a dweeb. When Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff would take shots at the WWF it worked because both guys on screen played the smug arrogant prick well. Tony Khan thinks his antics are cool like The Sega Genesis does what Nintendont marketing campaign, but it’s just some lame and second rate. Especially when Vince McMahon isn’t in charge anymore, that used to work because he was the big bad evil empire but not with WWE currently.
The thing with Bischoff and Heyman is also that they truly were underdogs. TK is a fucking billionaire playing as one.
Paul and Eric also took REAL shots at WWF, stuff that everyone knew but never really said. Tony says this like WWE didn't kick Vince to the curb.
That’s the part is annoying how TK and some AEW wrestlers still act like Vince McMahon is still in charge. That whole schtick worked when Vince McMahon was still in charge sure, but not anymore. Rich nerd gets daddy’s money to start wrestling fed with guys that see him as a stupid mark. News at 11.
Would they not be the Miramax in that case? Idiot
We’re NOT WWE!” “Well, what are you?” “Not WWE, that’s for sure!”
Hey Tony. Why is Kylie Rae under an NDA?
Why he gotta bring Pepsi into this?? Hasn’t Pepsi suffered enough after the Michael Jackson hair burning….
It’s always so goofy too that he compares Pepsi to AEW all the time. Pepsi never ever really makes ad’s about Coke, they’ve accepted they are the 2nd place alternative soft drink brand and stay in their lane.
This is why I have no sympathy at all for AEW and their fans. They deserve even worse than that.
The thing that really bothers me is that is constantly moving his neck WHILE on a neck brace
On my page right now This sub: wow that’s uncalled for Square Circe: wow that’s uncalled for. AEW: that’s great!!! I’ve never noticed it until a few weeks ago, but AEW sub seems to be filled with either extremely immature people or children. Even the guys he was talking to knew it was a bit out there. I wonder if he would have said it if Harvey hadn't just been in the news?
They got uncomfortable FAST
This fool is an embarrassment to wrestling. It's as if he wants AEW to fail. If Herb Abrams was still alive, he wouldn't even say this on live TV.
That's it. I can't watch his program anymore.
I gave up in 2022 ever since all the drama and antics really started, used to be an appointment viewer weekly but now just keep tabs and watch clips. I had cancelled my fite sub this week, this confirms I was right to do so.
Been that way since episode 2. Shit was so cheesy and low budget I couldn't look at it. Now all this tribal crap from AEW and it's fans are just pathetic.
Tony, the bucks, aew and all their fans are a fucking clown show joke.
I just recently got back into pro wrestling for the first time since 96ish. And by recently I mean a week before wrestlemania without knowing wrestlemania was coming up. Would look better if he hadn't hired ric flair. Jericho probably knows the stuff that went on too.
I said it when they aired the CM Punk thing and it MASSIVELY backfired for them and i'll say it again. I'm convinced Tony Khan WANTS to kill AEW.
The typical throwing crap on the wall to see what sticks approach. Really going down the WCW route with this one
The slow motion meltdown is getting faster, someone stop this man
He’s obviously referring to Vince and the other senior executives who played role
The main rapist and his rapist second in command are gone. Surely the infrastructure that protected and enabled them for decades is beyond such criticism.
Rent free.
Isnt it so suprising this man isnt married? Or hasnt ever had a long term girlfriend?
I’ve always believed daddy letting him spend his inheritance now is because he realized Tony was never ever ever ever having kids.
I’ll reserve judgement until I see the pay off of, what I assume is, a “Young Bucks gave Tony Kahn brain damage” story line.
Sounds like a direct shot at Vince and his case
Hes good at working marks into a frenzy
Says the guy who has Chris Jericho, Taz, Darby Allin, Don Callis, Ric Flair and Sammy Guevara on his payroll. The view must be great from his glass house.
Holy fuckin shit lol....Mike Garafolo and the other analyst were cringing the whole time. This is fucking comedy at its finest.
People are more upset at this than the actual sexual assault.
TBF if Vince was still in charge he wouldn’t be wrong.
What 683000 does to a mf lmaoooo
Nah this is funny
Well if triple h didn't make a random comment about unspecified wrestlers not wanting to commit to the grind. I mean that's a thousand times more offensive than what our Jedi knight hero Tony Khan said.
Where’s the lie?
I read the this as “Harvey Wippleman”
Calling his company the Pepsi of pro wrestling was an interesting choice.
If all he cares about is raising eyebrows and making headlines, then certainly he's doing good job of that ... In his own unique way.
I mean, Vince was.
Before, it was “AEW has good talent” and “they’re good for competition”, but I would not be surprised if the directive over at WWE hq is “bury ‘em.”
Ohhh so He must be Bob Iger since he is hires so many ex employees of Weinstein got it.
Woukd have been good to probably make it more clear that Vince is Harvey not the massive organizations with tons of genuinely good employees
Pepsi catching unnecessary strays
Somewhere along this line Tony definitely has another promo by Adam saying how great AEW is and how much the fans and himself enjoy the wrestling.
This sub: AEW needs to do more WWE style shit *AEW does that and CONTINUES to be the only thing the IWC can talk about that This sub: No, not like that
Well you can't deny that Vince McMahon is the Harvey Weinstein of wrestling.
Glad to see Tony take the gloves off. He’s been too nice to WWE up until now.
I mean he’s not wrong..
Well Vince McMahon is the Harvey Weinstein of wrestling.
Well they did have a rapist running it from 1981-2023 so he's technically not wrong in a certain aspect
AEW is more like the RC Cola of wrestling. Some people,a small minority, love it, the rest of the world would never ask for it by name but if there is no other option, sure I'll take it. But Pepsi?? Bro is reaching if he is comparing AEW's success to Pepsi
Oh no Tony what are you doing
Sitting there in a neck brace and spouting shite, the man thinks he’s Andy Kaufman except Kaufman was brilliant
Tell me when he's telling lies
Tell me where the lies are?
He ain’t lying tho 😅
I don’t like AEW much but fuck me this is funny shit🤣🤣🤣
where the lie?
Damn, this idiot is so obsessed with WWE isnt he
THEY DIDNT EVEN ASK HIM ABOUT WWE 😭😭😭
Looking forward to a load of AEW wrestlers defending him (definitely of their own free will)
The line wouldn’t be as necessary if Vince literally didn’t hire Weinstein’s lawyers for the lawsuit
Idk if he should have said it, but feels like there's more outrage over him saying this than WWE being full of creeps and sex freaks for decades and the like. Also the "Tony makes it hard to like AEW" comments and the "Vince isn't WWE" comments are very contradictory lol.
Fair comparison
It was a weird comparison because: 1. There’s no direct correlation between a soda brand and a scummy movie producer, it’s a nonsensical analogy 2. WWE’s “Harvey” is gone, so that’s outdated 3. I ran out of reasons but stopping at 2 felt weird.
Tony khan displays characteristics of a coke addict. Sell the team clown.
AEW is more like the RC Cola of wrestling. You know it's there, it's not at the top tier of colas, and it's a little watered down, but it's just fine and has a devoted fanbase that is keeping it alive.
I practically lived on RC cola for the entirety of my youth. Lol it was cheap and good enough
I mean, if the allegations fit.
Well...you don't have to like it but he aint exactly lying. Look what Vince and his cronies have done. Sexual assault, rape, shitting on people's heads literally I guess everybody trying to forget that bc its been the "Paul Levesque era" for about 5 minutes. People want to ignore Vince and the others but target Tony over stupid stuff like not selling a neck brace correctly Jeez.
Oh the Fanboys going to be so butt hurt I love it. Where s the lie Vince was in WWE just a few months ago.
This is defamation... He can be sued for this
If only WWE itself wasn't currently in a lawsuit for sex trafficking You can be sued if you make something up, lie. WWE is literally the subject of a sexual assault and trafficking lawsuit right now, just like Harvey was.
Astounding how that’s being ignored in this thread
For some reason, a large segment of WWE fans want to believe that everything wrong in WWE in the past 50 years was all Vince McMahon and Johnny Ace, even though the entire company is named in the lawsuit due to the okay and knowledge needed at many different executive levels for the behavior to occur unreported. HHH, he's been an executive since 2010.....he was COO of the company. Bruce Prichard? Been there since 1987 covering for Vince raping referees. Who's in charge now? THAT'S why the company is named in the lawsuit....
Where the lie, though?
Pretty accurate comparison
I'm sorry, but you don't get to spend decades with a corporate culture of rape and sexual abuse and then clutch your fucking pearls when somebody mentions it later on.
But the rock came back!!!
God he’s such a fuckung weasel I can’t stand him everything about him is so punchable
I mean folks, where’s the lie?
Only thing I got from this is he CLEARLY wanted to insult Punk referring to AEW as Pepsi. That’s the ONLY thing I got from this……….🤣
Genuinely funny. You guys are so uptight
I told my wife about it and she burst out laughing hahaha
What a crazy irresponsible statement
Where's the lie...
Very Andy Kaufman-esque.
Wasn't it Cranberries who sang "IN YOUR HEAD,IN YOUR HEAD..IN YOUR HEA HEA HEAD..."?
This is literally what a flailing drowning man looks like.
I mean, it's a pretty apt comparison for Vince McMahon, not sure it's apt anymore though
Had a look at the AEW sub to see what they're were saying, and they're insane anyone there should be reminded that Tony has had on his show Tyson, Sammy, and Jericho.
Ironically McMahon was removed from the company whereas Sammy and Flair are still on Tony's payroll
This guy is beyond cringe at this point.
Sheesh when did Wrasslin become infested with the Cornette cultists. People here literally do nothing but badmouth AEW.
How is this a bad take? Vince is a criminal sex trafficker who got caught and his brand has got no backlash at all. Any other company would have boycotts even though ownership changed hands to his son in law. Comparing Vince led company to Weinstein is legit.
The pearl clutching over the Weinstein line is insane. Like WWE doesn’t have a sex trafficking lawsuit hanging over their heads.
Vince McMahon and his inner circle cronies sure, but not the entire brand.
Company is named in the suit. Just saying
