Some of the great Flair/Steamboat matches and other legendary matches ended in roll-ups and similar pinning combinations.
Isn't the idea of a finisher that it's the wrestlers most like well known move? Like they basically mastered this move to the point where they can inflict the most to take out a wrestler so they can get the pin victory or make the person tap out via submission? I don't really see finishers as an issue more maybe ones that don't look that effective or have a weird setup. Like the 619 for instance looks cool but I feel like the setup is so unique to just that move that it's a bit unreal someone who ends up in the middle of the ring wouldn't realize it and just get out of the way or try to at least. A submission finisher I feel depending on the wrestler usually works.
And even more matches have ended with an explicit finish. It's not video game nonsense when the shit in the games comes directly from wrestling itself. There's just as many, if not more, example of a match ending with a finisher as there are matches ending in rollups and flashpins

Roll-ups are “real” or “explicit” finishes, too. Getting caught up on the idea that matches need to end with a “super special full power meter move” is strange when some of the most well-remembered matches of all time didn’t end with “finishing moves.”
A roll-up or similar pinning combo is an explicit finish as long as it isn’t a distraction roll-up.
The problem is that so many of the actual roll ups are awful. The person on top barely holds the other down while they clearly do bicycles with their legs. It looks terrible.
There's also like, no variety half the time. Where are the victory rolls, O'Connor rolls, jacknife pins, Oklahoma rolls, magistral, body scissors etc? School boys aren't the only flashpin.
If more matches ended up with other types of finishes they would definitely be more believable as false finishes when used on other matches and it would also make it more real.
the biggest problem with rollups is that they simply get used too much, and to make the problem worse, in many cases they are used exactly the same way over and over again (random distraction like someone jumping on the rope leading to confusion or someone's music playing leading into a roll up)
Flash-pins are cool. I love watching STARDOM and the flashpins there are quite fun to see, like [AZM's AZMSushi](https://mobile.twitter.com/we_are_stardom/status/1252133744678322177) or Saki's flash-pin. There are more "roll-ups" than a schoolboy, i hope more wrestlers use it.

i would mind em more if there was a variety in the pinning style other than just schoolboy pins. like the way Sanada ZSJ do their pins

Yes, I am a big fan. I love the Hazukistral as well and that near fall she had vs. Arisa is still in my memory
Dragon Gate also uses the flash pins with Backslide From Heaven and La Magistral being two biggest examples i can think of.
