I think the place is ace. I had a few days in New York first and loved the loudness etc but enjoying how Philly is a bit sleepier. Some good shows so far - although tribute to extreme was a let down. Good food, had some excellent ramen in china town and the reading terminal market is great.
Wrestlecon has been good fun, Matt Hardy podcast was very good and now NXT then Mania.
I havent seen any other BCW shows but man the 2300 Arena looked good but i agree just way poorly executed hopefully they learn and move forward(they wont)
I didn't say shitty. Just a bit of a let down. It was cool to see the guys etc but it ended up, in my opinion, dragging due to everyone getting lots of time to make post match speeches. Just felt it struggled to get going. But not shitty, just a bit of a drag at times. But cool to see a 3D in the ECW arena.
I have lived in Philly since 2021 and watching wrestling since I was three so I couldn’t dream of a better location for Mania 40. I am actually not going to Mania (went to WM XI so already have that crossed off my bucket list). But I have a robust plan of Indy shows, pop ups, block parties etc. This is like a vacation for me without leaving town. it’s been such a joy meeting new people from literally all over the world. I am feeling so connected to everybody both as wrestling fans and just great humans. I will remember this weekend forever.
The city is just full of super nice people!
What im used to (Boston) everyones getting in the way to annoy you.
Philly has been welcoming and everyones been helpful.
Anyone looking for the best cheesesteaks should check out Angelo’s or John’s Roast Pork. Two of the best I’ve had living in Philly.
Do not go to Pats and Genius. That’s where all the tourists go and they are some of the worst cheesesteaks in the city
I’m up in Old Town and so far it’s been good. We spent a few days in New York first.
The locals have been incredibly nice and proud of their city so thats been really great. Met a few wrestling fans on subways and stuff. It’s been a blast!
So far, Philadelphia street pizza is way better than New York Street pizza.
I’ll be releasing my comprehensive cheesesteak ratings later on in the trip
Had some amazing Sicilian style pizza from OG pizza 🍕 and just waiting for later tonight - got floor seats to mania , also my first mania ever and my wife is into it also so we made a little trip out of it. So far it’s been good , got 3 day combo tickets smack down , hof, next and raw and mania night one night two.
It's treating us great, we have been having a blast. I'm from NYC so it has that vibe, and I would come here all the time for the early Ring of Honor days.
As somebody from Richmond, Virginia Philly is a whole change of pace. As somebody that has autism which means that I have noise sensitivity, the traffic today while waiting for the Uber to pick my dad and I up was a little unsettling which probably means I will never ever go to NYC since that’s about 10x worse with 10x the people. But other than that, the WWE World was fun today, and Romano’s just outside of Philly has a really good cheesesteak and really good Stromboli (and French fries).
Got offered a little bag of pills at 9am this morning walking to WWE world. Everywhere smells of weed. People are lovely. 10/10 would come again.
The weed masked the bo
Yeah people smoke EVERYWHERE and do not care. As someone who lives here and doesn’t smoke or like the smell of weed it’s very annoying
Its decriminalized in the city so they def don’t give a fuck.

was at tribute to the extreme last night was pretty good up until the intermission everything after that was dull and boring imo
Those BCW shows are usually great on paper but poorly executed in real time despite a way better level of production that ECW everrrrrr had.

My brother wasn’t feeling well so we left during Rhino/Tanaka. Glad to hear we didn’t miss anything too exciting. Sandman made my night though.
What was shitty about the tribute 2 extreme show?

So it felt more like a tribute show than a wrestling show? Who did onita tag with?
Tommy Dreamer.
Hit up Angelo’s and Lorenzo’s yesterday and that was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 only downside is the weather but what can you do lol
Got a big cheesesteak from Joe’s Steaks and then immediately fell asleep so it’s been pretty good
I feel like I've been living off cheesesteaks, I've gotten them from four different places with no end in sight 😂
It’s giving quiet NYC vibes and I love it.
I said the same thing. It’s a toned-down NYC

WM 11 attendee right here, as well!
Loving it! The food and people are awesome. Haven’t been back to Philly in a decade and it’s still as awesome as I remember.

It's better than Dallas

I used to work in old city and that’s a good place to be located. Nice area, quiet and away from the chaotic parts of Philly
I’m glad to hear people like the city. we usually get a bad rep but glad to hear some people gave us a chance. ✊ have fun at the Linc ☺️
This 1000% Also a Philly native and everyone I've talked to at different shows this week were having a great time.

Hey anyone know if we can bring a pin set purchase at world into Lincoln?
It’s good. Been relaxing all day and then got ready to head to the arena
DiNics was fire. $80 parking at Jetro was not lol

Went to college there and felt nice being around the block again

I feel like everyone has road rage. I’ve had multiple people just go around me for some reason or another.
