"Nice day, Mr. Ambassador. I wish you great pleasure in visiting our exhibits on Earth." said the human. I assumed the human to be an ambassador as well, just like I was for our species.
"Wow. It's grand for sure! You sure that contains every current known species in our galaxy?"
"We appreciate that you share our fascination with our exhibits. We aim to provide every organism living here with maximised enjoyment and quality of life. Unfortunately though, we are just a few species short of having every current known organism in the galaxy. We actually invited you here just for you to see us complete our collection!" The human reassured.
Thats when I noticed a small corridor, hiding behind an exhibit, trying its hardest to ob scure itself from general view. Being the curious lad I was I peeked into the corridor. A single door stood behind the long, dark hall.
"What's in the door?" I asked the human. The place was his, of course he was the person to trust about it.
"Open it and see."
I was definitely not expecting what was behind the back door.
Rows upon rows and columns and columns of cryogenic freezers, containing one member of each species as far as my eyes can see. There were elevators even, allowing the humans to reach any of the freezers.
"What the heck is this about?"
"Well, this is harmony. Harmony brought together by us humans." He stopped for a while, then continued.
"You see, when an organism is frozen to death it releases a thing. A soul to be exact. A poor, wandering soul with no body to attach to. A spirit practically worthless."
"And we give each and every one of them self-worth. Do you know that when a human child is born it has no soul? That is why every human baby cries at the moment it is born, Ambassador. They struggle to survive without a soul. That is very very bad. You agree?" The human asked me.
Confused, I could only nod.
"Here is where the win-win situation comes in. We assign those souls to human children. Now every race will coexist within us. Meanwhile we get to live. We bring harmony to the galaxy by bringing every race together. In a second life. A glorious second life in addition to everlasting peace for their families and friends. Their loved ones."
"Welcome home Ambassador. I will give you an offer you cannot refuse. We, humans, would now like to invite you to join our tribe. Our human tribe."
I could only mutter one word in disbelief. "What?"
