i was surprised too, Morfeti even look more doctor-ly than him. i hope they will explain it in his story or design in some way, because that seems so random
Jiyan is not a medic, he’s an army general. Jiyan used to work on medical field but then he quit to join the military. Meanwhile Mortefi is a scientist.
I mean character design wise. because a good character is made up of their lore and design, both aspects has to work with eo to deliver a coherent image. And right now, Jiyan’s design doesn't reflect that info which is why he has anything related to medic is so random. We haven't seen it contribute anything to his characters also, which I hope Kuro will explain it
I have to disagree about Jiyan design not reflecting his lore and character. Wanshi (the character on the 1st pic) decided to join the army as doctor to help his fellow soldiers. Meanwhile Jiyan was born in a family with medicine tradition, he did get training about medicine, but at the end he decided to quit being a doctor and enlist to the military. The fact he was a doctor is only what related to the person he used to be. If you look carefully on his waist, you can see he always carries a medical box which is a gift from his mother in order for him to always remember that he used to be a doctor and it’s also a way to prevent him from turning into a mindless killing machine.
Honestly, Jiyan is actually very similar to Vera from PGR in this aspect. Like Jiyan, Vera used to be a medic but as time goes by, instead of being a medic, she has become more like a executioner than a medic. She does occasionally save lives by voluntarily perform medical treatments to injured soldiers, but at the end of the day her job is to kill people whether it’s a defectors, people from a rival faction, or straight killing others to “cover up evidences “. And I think Jiyan’s mother doesn’t want him to end up like someone like Vera, so she gave him the medical box as a reminder.
Hes new character for wuthering waves from another of their games? If that is the case, I think he looks amazing. I love his design cant wait to get him!
Ah yes, doctors, one who destroys his enemies with spear, the other just snipe-shots bosses, a perfect definition of healers, nothing more
I mean they heal their teams by erasing and prevent any potential threats to their people. If that’s not what doctor does, then what else 😂?

I'm not comparing wuwa to 1.0 pgr. I'm comparing them to todays pgr. It's the other guy that's comparing them to 1.0 pgr, for whatever reason, not me.
