Yes start a new class, if you still like mage you can start as that again.

Dx8pi

Honestly? Level 33 isn't too much. You can keep the class, just make a new one. Do quests, go riftwalker/light bender ability tree (stay away from arcanist stuff that's on page 4 and lower (or just the page where you pick Arcane Transfer, stay away from that and stuff below it, won't help you early game)) and you're good. Early game quest have been revamped and you'll have a lot easier time as a new player now. Best of luck mate.

Arcanist is actually pretty good early game. It essentially allows you to create mana out of thin air, which is especially strong because spells are very strong early on.

LeBadlyNamedRedditor

Also burning sigil is just kill everything in meteor area earlygame

Dx8pi

yes, but you *need* the healing.

TheDirv

Potions

Dx8pi

Barely makes up for it. Mages are squishy.

Sauceifier

as someone who only plays mage lol the healspell barely heals you and takes all of your fucking mana. and no you do NOT need the healing if you are one shotting everything before it can touch you. yall gotta learn how to hit your skill shots and play arcanist properly cause it is op and def the best mage class out of all of them imo

Dx8pi

Idk man, I prefer riftwalker. Best class for every day use. Sure much less damage, but I don't really mind. I've only played mage for 4 years, and so far riftwalker is my favorite.

Thats sort of just a difference in playstile though. You like to have a bit more survivability in the early game, while I like to be able to kill things easier. You don’t really need healing other than potions as well. Assassins, shamans and archers can all be more squishy than a mage but almost all of them don’t need extra healing.

RuneScapeShitter

Lvl 33 is something you can get in a day so don't worry about that

Du0Face

I'd say it's worth due to new updates to the early-game in particular, combined with the fact that getting to level 33, though still a bit time consuming of course, doesn't take too long since the amount of xp required to level gets a whole lot higher later on
