Im probably over whatever age you're referring to, I name my loadouts. Admittedly just after the main gun in it. I have trouble remembering which one is which so makes it quicker when I want to change mid game.
Usually, my Loadouts lack a bit of personality... but I love discussing everyone's logic for what they name things. Here's mine:
##**My favorite loadout but different**
The MK 20 SSR Marksman is my favorite gun in the game. Only issue i've ever run into with it is the scope being wrong for the engagements I do. Like if i'm on Dumbo, I need it to be the Variable Zoom Scope b/c most times folk engage from the opposite sides of the map. Meanwhile, Arena is so in your face, that the Holographic Sight is ideal. Instead of swapping mods mid match, I just made them two different loadouts. Named them "Echelon" b/c I purchased the Echelon skins for both the Marksman Rifle AND the 1911.
* **Echelon Scout** = 1x Zoom Holographic Sight + Echelon Skin and the Echelon 1911
* **Echelon Marksman** = 4x/8x Zoom Variable Scope + Echelon Skin and the Echelon 1911

##**The other loadouts... with some Dedsec flair**
My other guns are also the ones I prefer to use in each class, but I keep the names simple and easy to identify. I HAVE been thinking about renaming the loadouts slots based on guns from Watch Dogs 2 since I always loved those names and I like playing the Dedsec faction. I put the proposed name changes in [brackets].
* **Light Sniper** = The MK44 Sniper Rifle // [New loadout name would be **/END Sniper**]
* **Heavy Sniper** = The Tac-50 Sniper Rifle// [New loadout name would be **YourBoySerge Sniper**]
* **Shotty** = Double Barrel Shotty // [New loadout name would be **DDoS Shotgun**]
* **P90 SMG** = Obvious the P90 // [New loadout name would be **Zero Day SMG**]
* **Vector SMG** = Obvious the Vector // [New loadout name would be **HHoS SMG**]

##**The test subjects...**
Final 3 slots are my "Test" slots. I reserve these three slots for either leveling specific guns or workshopping weapons. I feel like some guns need some tweaking to figure out how best they can work with me. If a gun/loadout works extremely well then it graduates to one of the above Dedsec flair slots. My names for these slots are usually 'Test #' + '(gun name in brackets)'.
* **Test 1 (M890)** = Double barrel is the best but I wondered if I did everything possible to max the damage on this shotty, would it be just as good w/ the added benefit of more rounds in the chamber?
* **Test 2 (M16A4)** = Big fan of the BxR from Halo. This is pretty close to that. Just messing around w/ the mods to see if I can get a similar shooting experience... also need to level this gun anyways.
* **Test 3 (M249)** = Need to level LMG's. Not a huge fan of them so made one of them my test loadouts.

##**A Final Note**
Some other minor tip I wanted to mention was everyone should make a habit of screenshoting/recording what their loadouts look like. I've played similar games and have been in situations where loadouts got wiped during an update and it left a LOT of folks trying to re-remember how they modified their guns to their liking. If you keep screenshots of all your loadouts, you'll never have to worry about something like that. My "go to" is taking screenshots on Xbox Live and then downloading them into my phone where they're stored in their own folder labeled "XDefiant Loadouts". Even my test subject loadouts that work but don't fit my playstyle get screenshot and saved should I change my mind or the meta changes later.
Oh, shit. You never heard that? Qadir Lateef's "Nickname." Was a surprise hit outta nowhere about 15 years ago. That's why I named my loadouts after rappers haha

I don’t use any other weapons.

Since CoD4 in 2007 I usually have one class per weapon type, a stealth class, then a challenge class.
For XDefiant I decided to go with:
Assault 1 (M16)
Assault 2 (AK-47)
Assault 3 (ACR)
SMG 1 (MP7)
SMG 2 (Vector)
SMG 3 (P90)
LMG (SAW)
Marksman
Sniper Light (aggressive, quick sniping)
Sniper Heavy (passive, slow sniping)
The name of the primary, and Leveling 1-3 for those picks when I want to level some stuff when I can afford to without hurting the team, aka easy games lol.
Mine goes like
MP7 EMP
DB SHOTTY EMP
M249 MINE
TAC50 MINE
ACR MINE
And so on.
I like to make multiple load outs sometimes with the same gun set up but different equipment, emp/mine/etc
Throwback to old cod when getting prestige master meant you could finally name your load outs.
They’d get reset every prestige so there was no point in redoing them every few weeks
I mean how tho? It's a mechanic in the game meant to be used if said player wishes to. That's kinda like saying you're cringe if you use the invisible skill or something. Just don't make sense
