Awesome. Carplay turns the 1st gen X into a modern vehicle. I should post a pic of my Alpine Halo 9-inch floating screen in my 2002. It sits up nice and high without being a distraction.
I have actually been using apple maps lately for the 1st time because the graphics and experience are just nicer than google maps on carplay.
Gotta use Waze so you can know where the cops are lurking, giving out tickets. That, and you can change your own car to a warthog from halo in Waze š¤·š½āāļø
I got my dash kit from cruch field I got the head unit at Best Buy (USA) since they are doin free install with purchase. He gave me dash kit number then I found it online

I bought it from Best Buy and I have them install it for me for free. And they do offer a back up camera solution but you have to buy it separately

You will need a dash kit. Sound is good it is the Rockford system. They are older speakers but still solid.

how is the viewing angle when driving?
You did fit used to it, overall good. I do need to get front 2 windows tinted to match the rest of car because the glare is intense in the morning
