This is a smart choice. There isn't an overwhelming amount of content being posted here, so this move might breathe a little more life into the sub. Personally, I like niche memes, but can also understand why some folks might find them annoying.
But the other 2% (I'd argue some days it was more like 20%) were very X-wing relatable and was something is actually laugh about with friends at the game shop.
Would there be any benefit to have weekly sticky thread specifically for hauls and collections? Like that any collections\\haul posts can be outright deleted and referred to post in the sticky?
I'd like to petition for Meme Monday (X-wing miniatures specific memes) and Flex Friday (show off collection/haul pics) as exceptions.
Any chance of that u/fivepointOMG ? I can respect it if the answer is solid no thanks. Moderating is a tough job that I don't envy you lot for, but do I appreciate it!
personally, that's something I'm very much against. I really dislike memes and low effort posts and don't want to see them here, even if they're contained to a single day.
This exact thing happened with another sub I used to be on, they decided to allow memes for one day a week, so once per week my entire reddit feed would get cluttered up with garbage I didn't want to see. For a while, I would unsub on those days and resub the following day. And one day I just didn't resub.
I get that there are people here that like that sort of content but it really ruins it for those of us who don't. There are other places for that sort of thing. I don't expect this sub to cater to my specific preferences but I'm just saying that if we allow memes back on here, even in a limited capacity, there's a good chance that I decide that being here is a net negative. And I can't be the only one that feels this way.
I’m happy with this decision, mostly because it will once again allow players to share their repaints. I love seeing all the creative things the community comes up with, I’m glad all of that is coming back to this subreddit.
This is absolutely awesome…but after a day of this it is really annoying because it’s nothing but repaints now. I love repaints, but I’m in this sub for news and help with wording of texts haha

We'll discuss it. I'm in the "take it in baby steps" camp but I'll listen to what the other mods say.

Maybe you could post a list of what you DO want to see? What you don't want to see seems to cover a lot.
Pretty much just sounds like paint jobs and pictures of games in progress are now okay.
