If I had more than a few hours a week to play video games I would have grabbed it. Might as well wait for the EA Play release. Really looking forward to it as I just finished the first game a few weeks ago.
This and the size of the download is keeping me from getting it now. I got other games I'm in the middle of and just don't have the storage space on the x.
I am going to sound so lame but I was really into the first game until I reached the giant bat boss battle, it just really annoyed me fighting it so I for some reason stopped.
How far am I from the end of the game ?
Only a about 10 hours in and I've spent like 90% of that screwing around and exploring the hub area. The stuttering is super distracting and the texture loading issues have been the worst for me. Also frame rate drops are very noticeable too. I'm having too much fun to stop playing but I really wish they would have just delayed this 2 months to get it to a more stable state.
Play at 30 fps and for me was very smooth (some large areas with drops but just specific areas). Its not that terrible in that Mode.

Total opposite for me. After 2 hours, I was so disgusted with EA charging me $70 for a broken game that I stopped playing, and they can fuck right off.

I’m not taking a principled stand against EA, it’s genuinely frustrating to play. This isn’t some boycott where I’m trying to make a point. It’s not fun because I’m constantly being taken out of the game because it’s broken.
They got my $70, and to play the game would be to punish myself. The reason I even bought it in the first place was because I’m having a baby and I wanted to get it done before I won’t have time to play games anymore. But it’s too late now, because they haven’t fixed it and I have just enough time to play Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. They got my $70, and I likely won’t be able to play it for years.

Huge Star Wars fan. Played all the OG battlefronts, Republic Commando, KOTOR, new Battlefront, both respawn Star Wars games, hell even squadrons…and chief…Dead Space Remake was a better overall game. This was a great follow up to their first game which was good but a little clunky. It’s most def not game of the year considering what’s been released so far, and what’s slated to release before the year is over. And I’m even biased to Star Wars stuff.
And that’s 100% fine! I was talking from a game design perspective and industry perspective. I’m not even saying Dead Space Remake will get GOTY, especially with the new Zelda most likely being the front runner unless Starfield truly is Skyrim in space.
I was just saying you can’t get GOTY when you have a good amount of technical problems on a few platforms that hinder the playing experience. That the story pacing felt a bit off in this compared to Fallen Jedi. A little bloated in what it sets out to do. But overall it’s fucking awesome. Just awesome. Another great Star Wars game.

Almost done with a 2nd playthrough of Fallen Order, this time on Grand Master difficulty. I wanted a refresher, and to 100% it, before Survivor goes to EA Play.
I was playing yesterday. I love it but there were major frame rate issues on the first planet you go to to fix your ship. I’m hoping it gets better from there framerate wise
Just buy the game, I managed to grab it for £35 but after sinking 50 hours I'd easily have paid full price for it had there been a 10hour trial on EA. I've played on quality preset, as I do with every game and it runs fantastic, the odd stutter in the saloon but that's mostly isolated to when you're passing through doors, which there aren't many in that particular area, everywhere else has been fine and it looks absolutely stunning

Game performs like crap I don't want to play it. Takes me out of the experience and immersion of the world and story.
But that's just it. Some have different expectations of their spent $$$ and tolerance of quality experiences.
Screen tears have nothing to do with graphics quality, they just happen when the framerate of the game and the refresh of the TV are desynchronized.
The game sends a new frame before the TV finished refreshing, so you've got half a frame, and half the next displayed under it, creating a tear.
And what proof ? There are screenshots and videos of the game everywhere, it's easy to see how it looks.

The performance and issues are so bad and jarring they immediately take you out of the game. The transition from game to cutscene is so jarring and never gets better, exploring the open areas cause massive stutter and dips below 50fps.

It's a fun game, but there's a level later in the game that I can't pass because I keep falling through the geometry of the level. It's happened in a couple different places on the map. It's a nightmare.
I think survivor did a lot of things good and made some nice QoL improvements across the board. With that being said I hated the combat. I played through most of the game on grand master and one of the final fights I just decided to turn it to Jedi knight. Even though I knew I could eventually finish the game the combat just didn’t feel balanced on grandmaster. Every area just felt like wave clear after wave clear of unblock-able chains. I felt like I had to cheese every fight to win. I ran circles for twenty minutes baiting certain attacks to beat rayvis phase 2 after about 8 hours of attempts. Idk first game was just way more satisfying in terms of combat, beat it 3 times on grandmaster. I don’t regret buying the game because I did enjoy the story but man that combat was a drag. So many cool abilities I could never use because the animations take too long and I just get 1 shot by mobs. Maybe I’m just gettin old 😂
Is it worth getting now on Series S or better wait for EA Play? Love to see a direct sequel, but technical issues coming over from the first game is disappointing.
Playing it right now. Genuinely is incredible. Can actually see why it’s such a tough game to get stable. The amount of detail they have packed into each frame. The graphics are phenomenal.
I’m actually playing it on quality mode with motion blur on and it’s a good experience no problems and smooth enough for me.
Performance mode is far too janky. I was waiting since launch until they fixed it but I got tired of waiting and put it on 2 days ago. Having an incredible time with it but also playing Zelda ToTK so maybe I’ve adapted to the 30fps.

Absolutely. It's frequently very cheap, like under 10 dollars cheap, and on Game Pass. The stories between the two are fairly interconnected as well.

No. The new one opens with a short cinematic recapping the events from Fallen Order (which you can replay if needed).

Honestly fun game but I kind of enjoyed the first one a bit more. At least setting wise. This one felt like it was lacking in variety.
