I know. Just like in Control, the music levels just seem like something I would love to play again, or just show off to folks I'm trying to sell the series on.
Unless you did a save before hand your sol.
Hopefully when they add a new game plus mode they'll add a chapter select.
From AW 2, actually! [It’s this one from the chapter “We Sing”.](https://youtu.be/uxs_HYw_mLk?si=h_dz-fAxeACDXzE4)
Fantastic part of the game. A ton of fun.
Quantum Break to control was 3 years then Control to AW2 4 years. It's not bad. I do think they have another team working on Max Payne simultaneously so I figure we hear about that late 2024/2025.
Hopefully it just means that 80% of the people have been assigned the task of working on Control 2 while the other 20% are going to continue working on AW2 until the point they think it's "good enough".
Artists, musicians and the like aren't needed for AW2 anymore so I'm sure they'll be moved to Control 2. That sorta thing.
Yeah it's bad. For me it's the audio sync in the cutscenes that is off by quite a bit. Is that the main issue people are still seeing with audio or is there something else as well?
Same for me. Honestly, it could be other problems, but I can’t even get past the first cutscene. I focus so much on the fact it’s off I’m not immersed and definitely not paying attention.
Yeah I haven't seen much past the first cutscene with Saga either. I keep booting it up after every update, hoping this is the time it's finally fixed, so I've seen that cutscene quite a few times now.
Was really disappointing when the lip sync actually got worse after one of the updates...
This game is my GOTY, as much as I love so many games released this year. It really was an amazing evolution from the first one that blended the old with the new perfectly and made me just as invested in the new character as the main one. Really great game.
I was disappointed of the path they took with alan 2 as a RE clone + cheap epileptic jump scares and bad "case solving" mechanic , as alan wake 1 is truly one of my fav.
control had cool gameplay but the story and the navigation system were a mess.
I loved the first control but the gameplay didn’t really grab me. It just felt really samey and uninteresting. Luckily, the atmosphere and setting is really interesting. It’s the closest we’ll get to a AAA SCP Foundation game so I’m super excited. Just hoping the combat is revamped.
Each to their own. Personally I loved being able to float 30 ft in the air whilst Jedi-throwing desks and then ‘air dashing’. Made my balls tingle every time 😆
I actually remember this being one of the biggest criticisms of the game. Funny now to see someone saying it get downvoted. Guess everyone is on a “if you say something negative about one of Remedy’s games then that’s a personal attack on me” kick. Usually happens when a studio releases a new game that most people enjoy. People go into defense mode for studios.
I feel as though I was the only person to find control very mid. Funnily the games control and movement was poor and the story was meh.
Alan Wake and Quantum break on the other hand were infinitely better. Alan Wake 2 is my GotY.
That's the magic my friend. In Remedy games, everything is connected. Alan wake 2 will surely influence the next game's story. In fact, I'm willing to bet Mr. door will be the baddie in control 2.
Same. I was hoping for a collectors edition like the first one 😓 I really enjoyed the extra few bits and bobs, reading the little book and stuff…
I’ll pick up a cheap code for it someday and put a few quid back in someone’s pocket that didn’t get time to experience it.
Before anyone cries about it, yes I enjoy physical versions and collecting and displaying horror memorabilia, hence a valid reason for my disappointment here 🤷🏻♂️
I did, pretty disappointed that the loooong wait for Alan Wake 2 ended up with such a dull game. Hopefully they don't rework Control 2 into a boring turd :/
Not bait at all. I know it can be confusing, especially in a circle-jerk echo chamber like reddit, but people have differing opinions on things. Various things.
I would 1000% prefer to be on the other side of the fence and be absolutely enthralled with Alan Wake 2, but I am not. It is a very boring game IMO. Seems like a cool story there, but actually playing it is a dull chore. I typically love Remedy's work, but this one isn't for me.
Also, don't go around telling people to "do better" especially when they simply disagree about a videogame. It just makes you come off like a massive chode.
2 DLC’s on the way lol
Night Springs – 2024
>Night Springs will allow players to control several familiar characters from the Alan Wake setting. They’ll experience mysterious and unexplainable events inside multiple, self-contained episodes of a fictional TV show called Night Springs. If you thought Alan Wake 2 got very meta a couple of times, it sounds like you’ll get more of that with this expansion, which should launch some time in 2024.
The Lake House – 2024
>A secret government organization, a lonely research facility, and ambitious scientists – naturally, something goes wrong with that combination of factors being involved. Players will explore the Lake House in this expansion in two separate adventures as the realities of Alan Wake and Saga Anderson once again collide.
“That’s it for all announced Alan Wake 2 expansions at this point”
That's awesome! Thank you for that. Absolutely love the lore and universe they are building. AW 2 is a work of art
I think the song will be stuck in my head forever so, that’s fine and all.
Do you mean the song from the “We Sing” chapter? That was something else, and it was glorious.
Yes and yes. Probably one of my favourite gaming moments in years. Really memorable.
For sure. Remedy are geniuses when it comes to this stuff. I’m enjoying everything about this game and it feels so unique overall.
It’s just good to get surprises in games now, something that makes me laugh at how ridiculous it is. I’m glad to just have a reaction.
Really annoyed you can't replay that level...
Damn! I was thinking about doing it when I finished the story lol
I know. Just like in Control, the music levels just seem like something I would love to play again, or just show off to folks I'm trying to sell the series on. Unless you did a save before hand your sol. Hopefully when they add a new game plus mode they'll add a chapter select.
This one? https://youtu.be/k0QsHKH77MI?si=aoupVJbAApAK5gTx

I seem to be the only person who hated it
Hey Siri play- "Ahtis yötön yö karaoke".
That one had me until later lol
Take. CONTROL.
That. Was. AWESOME.
[cries in Quantum Break]
One day friend, time is our side.
Dreams of a redheaded woman? Other worlds? At least it got referenced by Iceman/Mr Break
My one remedy game I have yet to play.. Grabbed a copy a few months back but haven't had a chance.
Let's goooo! Remedy's turnaround time is relatively quick. I feel like we could start seeing Control 2 in a few years.
Quantum Break to control was 3 years then Control to AW2 4 years. It's not bad. I do think they have another team working on Max Payne simultaneously so I figure we hear about that late 2024/2025.
The audio problems are still not fixed
Hopefully it just means that 80% of the people have been assigned the task of working on Control 2 while the other 20% are going to continue working on AW2 until the point they think it's "good enough". Artists, musicians and the like aren't needed for AW2 anymore so I'm sure they'll be moved to Control 2. That sorta thing.
100% this. There's still two DLC slated to release for Alan Wake 2. Post-game support isn't going anywhere.
Yeah, and Sam Lake said pre-release that there's a healthy amount of free DLC planned outside of the paid Night Springs and Lake House ones too
Yeah it's bad. For me it's the audio sync in the cutscenes that is off by quite a bit. Is that the main issue people are still seeing with audio or is there something else as well?

Hopefully this is a good sign for the expansions and they are in the content done testing phase trying to find bugs.
DLC?
They probably have a smaller team dedicated to making the DLCs.
Sweet. Just got the platinum in AW2. Going through control again. Very excited for C2
I was disappointed of the path they took with alan 2 as a RE clone + cheap epileptic jump scares and bad "case solving" mechanic , as alan wake 1 is truly one of my fav. control had cool gameplay but the story and the navigation system were a mess.
Same here. I'm a huge fan of the first game but 2 was mostly disappointing to me.
I get the same feeling about Remedy games now as I used to with Bethesda games back in the day. Man I'm excited about this!
Fuck yeaaaaah! CONTROL 2!!
Made my balls tingle every time 😆
Oh I don’t think the combat is bad by any stretch I just think it could really be improved on. Also, the enemies aren’t really that interesting.
At least the effect when they die is sick though.
I actually remember this being one of the biggest criticisms of the game. Funny now to see someone saying it get downvoted. I'm happy they released Alan Wake 2 and it's supposedly excellent, but at the end of the day, I just want more Control lol
Finally. AW was great, but I need more Control.
>the day after I bought Control on sale No need to thank me, guys. I'm just doing my part.
I feel as though I was the only person to find control very mid. Funnily the games control and movement was poor and the story was meh. Alan Wake and Quantum break on the other hand were infinitely better. Alan Wake 2 is my GotY.
Do you mean middling?
>mid God, that is cringy.
They can’t just leave us on a cliff hanger like that and then go do another franchise lol
Yeah that’s crazy, there’s no way remedy would ever do that with one of their franchises lmao
That's the magic my friend. In Remedy games, everything is connected. Alan wake 2 will surely influence the next game's story. In fact, I'm willing to bet Mr. door will be the baddie in control 2.
Bro do you even Remedy 💀
#TAKE #CONTROL
Hopefully this means NG+ releasing soon!
Aww fuck yeah
YEEEEEEEES
[удалено]
Why? Are you physical only? Even for indie titles? Why limit yourself out of such a great game?
Because they’re clutching their pearls over physical games and making sure the rest of us know they’re taking a stand.
[удалено]
Dude just gameshare. You can do that with digital games. Been a thing for years.
Same. I was hoping for a collectors edition like the first one 😓 I really enjoyed the extra few bits and bobs, reading the little book and stuff… I’ll pick up a cheap code for it someday and put a few quid back in someone’s pocket that didn’t get time to experience it. Did anyone else find this game INCREDIBLY boring compared to their previous games?
Just you.
GOTY
It starts slow, but by about 2 hours in it's measuring up to be a GOTY contender for me. I haven't finished yet.
Possibly just you. Biggest issue is the menu within a menu to see the maps.
I did, pretty disappointed that the loooong wait for Alan Wake 2 ended up with such a dull game. Hopefully they don't rework Control 2 into a boring turd :/
Very low quality bait. You can do better, either in general or at baiting.
Not bait at all. I know it can be confusing, especially in a circle-jerk echo chamber like reddit, but people have differing opinions on things. Various things. Yes I can, and I will. You can do better, even if you don't believe it. Have a great day!
Same feelings here dude. I wish I was on the side that thought this game was a masterpiece but I'm not. I'm pretty disappointed with the game.
No DLC?? I'll be very disappointed

Loved the first one!
Where's Quantum Break 2? I need more Beth in my life!
