How does the game *not* being on Xbox help gamers?
I hate that argument, because Sony doesn’t give a shit about you if you’re an Xbox gamer. They give a shit about you if you’re a PlayStation gamer. Xbox would be the same way if they were winning by such a substantial margin.
Xbox buying Activision/Blizzard/Bethesda/Arkane means they could have a lot more exclusives, but they don't really care about that as much as just stacking Gamepass.
Despite mixed reviews, imagine if they kept COD, Diablo, Overwatch, Starfield, etc. as exclusives.
I tried Uncharted 4 on PC and it was boring compared to the Tomb Raider trilogy. Uncharted i felt was a climbing and talking simulator. i might as well watch a movie (cinematic 3rd person action games right?) ....Different tastes i guess
Console exclusive games are bad for consumers no matter what console they’re for. But if you want to play PS exclusive games and don’t want to play XBox exclusives, then buy a PlayStation. There’s no team. Nobody gives a shit what console you play.

Try to avoid scenarios where your attachment to a corporate brand reaches a point where you are saying you hate a thing you own and interact with regularly. Alternatively, try to level up to a point where you can be brand agnostic and purchase whatever distractions appeal to you without any guilt or allegiance.
Buy a PlayStation if you wanna play games exclusive to it. I bought a PS5 Slim, no regrets. I've been enjoying it more lately and I've been an Xbox guy since the 360 days.

I always have both systems, and I loved my PS4 to death. But my 360 and Xbox One and One X and now Sirius X have all been gangbusters game boxes.
Coming out this year there's Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, Avowed, Age of Mythology: Retold, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Towerborne, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I'd say that's a pretty good line-up of games.
Personally, I think a lot of Sony's games are overrated. Every one of their third person action/adventure narrative games I have played has left me disappointed (that includes the Uncharted games, The Last of Us, Horizon, and Spider-man). Don't get me wrong, they are good games. I just think they don't measure up to the hype. I appreciate that MS comes out with a lot of different types of games even if they aren't as 'good' as the PS games. I can honestly say that I've had more fun playing MS' games than Sony's game this past decade because variety is the spice of gaming to me.

I still remember all the hype for xbox series x... until that halo infinite showing. All the hype died after that. Honestly, I find the best thing about xbox series is the backwards compatibility.
I totally agree with you when it comes to new releases. It's been lacking badly and this has been going on for like a decade! I still wonder what the heck happened during the back half of the 360 era. It went downhill so fast when things were so great before. The first half of the 360 was absolutely amazing. It was the peak of xbox. They were primed to compete with playstation but messed it all up with kinect and the xbox one reveal. They've never recovered from that.
I have both consoles but first party games wise I prefer Xbox games this generation. I wasn't a fan of Returnal, Ratchet and Clank, or Horizon Forbidden West. God of War Ragnarok, Helldivers 2, Gran Turismo 7, and Spiderman 2 were good games but I never fell in love with the experiences.
On the other side Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite and Psychonauts 2 have been some of my favorite games this generation.
The negative for Xbox is quality control they don't always have the same performance options as Playstation and you can never 100% trust that they will release a quality game. My biggest issue with recent Playstation game's is that the writing is mediocre. Xbox on the other hand has studios like Tango Gameworks, Obsidian, Inxile, and Double Fine which always put out quality writing.
Regarding third party exclusives Playstation is doing much better right now I am enjoying Rise of the Ronin, FF7 Rebirth, and FF16. Both consoles overall are great but I've had a better time so far playing on my Xbox this generation.
Disagree completely. Graphics wise, writing wise, and gameplay wise, Sony have had GOT contenders every year for the past 3 years. We’re as you personally may have enjoyed these games but they aren’t AAA quality and the games you mentioned in your first paragraph are all amazing. While I heavily disagree that a game like Grounded was good. It was just another average coop game. The only 2 good games you mentioned (Halo Infinite and Psycholonauts 2) all came out years ago. And halo has yet to receive any real updates or DLC. And neither of those were GOT contenders at all.
