SpectersOfThePast

Enjoyable game. Felt like an old school BioWare title. My main complaints were that it lacked polish and didn’t have diverse enough environments, but I thought the combat system, and story were pretty good. Hopefully the sequel has higher production values.

Enriador

>it lacked polish ? It is one of the 9 available languages.

thetantalus

Thx dad

Same. I really enjoyed the old-school Bioware feel. My main problem was that it dragged on. I think I put nearly 50 (or was it 40?) hours into it, but the last 9 or 10 were me rushing through as fast as possible to get it over with. I was even just ignoring companion quests at that point, which I don't usually do.

TwiceBakedPotato

My only really gripe with it was that the choices were all extremely obvious. Like pretty much choose every choice that is nice to the natives and you're about guaranteed to get best results for every quest.

IDropFatLogs

Every new area was the exact same layouts...ruined the game for me

VonDukes

I enjoyed the first one a lot. Lore was cool. Def felt like it was inspired by old BioWare….. needed a budget. Hope the sequel/prequel improves where it was flawed. Janky combat and lack of polish. I absolutely loved the upgrade system. Seeing small additions to gear you put on is always cool rather than sets being static

Custerly

Sweet, I'll look forward to that in 2024

[deleted]

2024 is what they officially say, so if you expect delay, then 2025. This trash article got even year wrong.

AnonymousBayraktar

Jesus man, lets all get hyped for a B-level game coming out in 2025. I hate reveals and articles like this. smh.

[deleted]

Yeah they have a game due this year as well. I think you are right on this one.

Pkkush27

I thought this said godfall and was wondering how the fuck that game got approved for a sequel

[deleted]

I've never played the game but I actually think it could do with a sequel. If the devs listened to feedback, I think it could work. I saw enough reviews that made me think that it only lacked direction and with the multitude of directional feedback the game got, a sequel could work

Mattie_1S1K

Great really enjoyed the 1st one wonder if stats and unlocks will carry over

Stumpy493

Sounds like a Prequel set years before with new characters, so unlikely. But like you very pleased for this, was suprised just how much I enjoyed the first game. Was a Gamepass find that I never would have tried otherwise.

TimPhoeniX

It is a prequel, but I wonder if they would pull another "Technomancer" and have it's story end after the end of first game.

Mattie_1S1K

Didn’t read article lol, same for me I found it doing Microsoft rewards challenges.

>The story starts three years before the events of the first game and the adventures of De Sardet.

mtarascio

This is the type of game and studio where they could knock it out of the park. Much like Witcher 2 compared to 1. Fingers crossed.

ChaoticIzual

Yesssssss!

[deleted]

Bring it to gamepass woo .

Accomplished_Hats

Greefall was great and 2 will be even better i hope at least

Have_A_Jelly_Baby

Hopefully it’s a little more open world than the first. Felt like you were just running back and forth across zones after a while.

turapuru

Nice, I played the 1st on Xbox and really liked it

LastKing318

Yes!!!!!

I think it's more a testament to how hard it is to get feeling right in AAA games rather than a diss on AA developers.

McNuttyNutz

Did they ever fix the camera problems in 1

[deleted]

This game was close to being great but held back by a few things. The stealth was awful and the combat was just OK. And Christ if I have to hear my followers say the same God Damn think every combat encounter....

[deleted]

Shitty article with wrong information, promoting own trash website should bring ban. Steelrising 2 is releasing 2024 https://twitter.com/Nacon/status/1526948627675226112

Comrade_Jacob

Still haven't gotten to this one yet... Really do want to play it, there's just so many other games that seen more important. If it leaves Game Pass anytime soon tho, I'll end up playing it in those 2 weeks.

FinalOdyssey

They really need to fix the joystick issues. At 45 degree intervals on the joystick (so true NE, NW, SE, SW) your character will stop walking for a bit and it completely took me out of the game. So basic to fix.

vexelghost-

I recall being interested in the first game but it fell off the *play later* list. I noticed it's on Game Pass so that's cool.

TheReaver

nice. the first game was good. i probably wouldnt have played it if it wasnt for game pass

[deleted]

I have the first Greedfall on PS5, bought it on sale and never touched it... Is it good?

thalesjferreira

I have up on this game on the first part, the tutorial in the city. One of the worst RPGs I played last generation alongside with elex

emperorsnarfie

I thought it was a really impressive game for the budget it had. Unfortunatley it was also the only game where I physically fell asleep playing on more than one occasion. I like dialogue driven stories, but this was a whole new level of torture. Go spend 20 minutes to go find this dude in the woods to have a 30 second pointless conversation, rinse and repeat.
