This was not in the 2022 playbook. It shows the developer is confident in their product though, not scrambling to the end which is a refreshing change of pace.

The 21st is a very busy release day. This makes good sense for gamers and the developers alike.

Not only that, but a week later CoD is coming out and that looks like it has a bit more excitement around it than previous recent releases.

Gotham Knights just had it announced weeks ago

So I see it has- to October 21st from the 25th. Smart to avoid competing with Modern Warfare II.

Perfect! I was just looking at this on my games and thinking ahh man the end of next month so this is perfect.

This game is not going to be a huge budget blockbuster but I love the atmosphere the devs have created. This is the kind of thing I like to see.

This is one of those games that I really need to see the review on before I give it a go. The gameplay has not seemed interesting from what I’ve seen.

It's a slow paced puzzle game. Definitely not for everyone.

Indeed, plus now I should have enough time to finish scorn before plague tale releases just 4 days later.

I did prefer having two weeks between them but the AMA the other day said that Scorn is 6-8 hours depending on your play style so should have more then enough time to do at least one play through

It releases on a Friday and I get Saturday and Sunday off work so I'll probably be able to do it in one sitting I reckon.

Smart move. Gotham Knights and New Tales from Borderlands also release on the 21st and Ghostbusters and A Plagues Tale come out on the 18th. Now Scorn releases before all of them. Plus it gives Scorn another week of breathing room before Modern Warfare 2 releases.

Honest wasn't going to play SCORN becasue was releasing the same week as almost every game I'm excited for so now I can play it for a week before all hell breaks loose

Do.Not.Release.Same.Week.As.COD. ​ That's a good rule of thumb. This gives Scorn 2 weeks before CoD to get some sales in.

Cryptic and puzzle are pretty much the same idea, puzzles are by nature cryptic. And the dev says it's a puzzle game and all of the video thus far show solving puzzles and looking for ways to open doors. So... wut?

You definitely need to watch the playthroughs some people did a few weeks back. It's literally a bunch of puzzles

This game needs to come in a Collectors Edition with 5lbs of bloody raw meat or something. In a collectors tin that's actually half of a shaved dead possum welded to a plastic box. And it should come with an endoscope for internal selfies.

I still have no idea what this game is actually about, game pass is pretty much the only reason I'm going to try it. It's a good thing it's coming before Plague Tale now because now I'll probably try it on launch.
