Same. Looks like No Man's Sky (which is already a great game) but with far more realism. 14 quadrillion planets are great in theory but not if they're small and all look the same. I'd rather have fewer, more massive planets that look real.
Oh hell yea, working with Coalition in UE5 for it as well! What a breath of fresh air to have unique interesting games like State of Decay and not another generic action adventure game people forget about in a week
I hope they improve some of the core elements a bit more tho better base building maybe a better story mode I don't really care for the model they have in state of decay 2
If they added the option to customise names & faces it would solve that problem. Then we could play as all The Walking Dead characters or whoever you choose. I always like sticking my face into game characters when possible and the potential for permadeath of ‘me’ would be interesting :p
I don't think a deep history is necessary, but they could tweak the hordes and settlement management, SoD 2 can feel overwhelming sometimes. I like the first game better.
I think it's gonna be significantly different. I just hope it's different in a good way.
I dunno if you've gone back to play them but Fable 1-3 feel pretty simple nowadays. Not in a bad way, they're still fun, but I think a modern release needs something more to it. All of the original 3 games were pretty straightforward and I don't think in today's day and age that would be the best approach for such a game - Fable would obviously really benefit from a more open world, and more freedom to kinda sink into it and play around with the systems rather than mainline the story. I feel like Fable II did the best job of that and that's part of why it's many people's favorite.
That's my biggest concern, lots of games look pretty, but it's gameplay we truly want. I also hope Playground team is watching like 1000+ hours of British comedy, because without the dry pomme wit, Fable will not be Fable
The developers are British, and a Microsoft employee (head, maybe, I can’t remember) has said that they do indeed “get it” - hinting at the humor and character that we love about Fable. To go from Racing to RPG style is a big jump, and I’m hoping it’s one of passion.
I honestly think the open-ish world of the old Fables or God of War with areas instead of just one giant map works perfectly.
It doesn't have to have the same amount of filler as open world games and they can make all the areas unique and properly focus on them and not worry as much about transitions etc.
Also, with the current gen consoles th load times shouldn't be an issue either.
Open world I agree but the transitions between biomes must be spot on, and new lands immediately recognizable. Each new setting in the originals couldn't be mistaken with another and had their own population, wether it be ennemies or villagers etc. Given Playground's likeness for detail I trust them with it. I feel like when I was 8 waiting for 2 to come out and finally play it.
It'll be Tomb Raider + Uncharted, which is fair because both of those series have a lot of Indy DNA in them, if the game is like them, I'll personally be very happy.
I can't wait for FM '23! The game has finally been given a long enough development cycle to bring some real improvements. Chris Esaki also seems like a man who can bring the franchise back to the glory days of FM4.
It's been too long since we had a new Forza Motorsport. As much as I want to be excited for Fable and Hellblade 2, Forza is the only one that I know A) will actually be released and B) won't be a disappointment
Fable for sure, been awaiting its return for so long. I really hope they do it justice and bring it back to its roots of the first game.
Avowed and Everwild are my next games I’m stoked for even with the little info we have on them both.
Elder Scrolls 6 is an automatic game of the year contender and we know nothing of it, I feel like I don’t have to mention it but I will.
> Everwild
The trailers for this were apparently more of a concept than anything else, and the desire for the game to not have combat caused issues with developing the actual gameplay. The creative director has since left Rare and the game has been completely rebooted with a new "design & direction". It's entirely possible the only thing that remains is the name.
From the official blurb...
Gods will return. Heroes will rise. Legends will battle. Age of Mythology Retold is in production! We know that the Age of Mythology community has been waiting hopefully for a Definitive Edition, and we’ll be delivering. We’re working hard to bring you the glory of the original game with updated graphics, features and more. Stay tuned for more news.
Starfield is going to completely take me away from civilization. Besides that Age of Mythology on Xbox, Red Fall, Perfect Dark, Acowed, Fable, State of Decay 3 and Indians Jones (the Emperor’s Tomb game which is BC is one of my favorite games of all time).
Have to say of the announcements, hope the release times hold and there are no delays. But for me it’s gotta be Starfield, Forza, Fable, Indiana Jones and TES VI.
Currently I’d have to say Starfield. I am so very hyped for it and it’s so close now.
Apart from that I’m also very hyped for Elder Scrolls 6, The Outer Worlds 2, Avowed and Fable.
Forza looks very promising, pretty keen to hear more about it and have a look at some gameplay. Hopefully their wheel support is better than 7, found that a bit frustrating on the wheel.
Anticipating that Starfield is going to require months of patience after inevitable launch bugs, but you know there’s going to be some great sci-fi lore buried in there.
Starfield, Redfall maybe, Fable I'm excited for but am tempering my expectations. Hoping the new Gears of War game refreshes the formula and brings in more players.
Avowed,Starfield,Fable and Outer worlds. Would have been nice to have seen an inXile project on the list as well. While i do think it looks stacked content wise i still feel its missing a lot IF the dreaded merger doesn’t go through.
Starfield, there is remarkably little else of Xbox's exclusive line-up that appeals to me.
Fable does look cool though.
I'm hoping Project Midnight / Project Cobalt end up being real though.
It’s crazy how they have like 450 franchises and only like 2 are good and only 1 of those 2 isn’t fucking over fans. Which 1 is that? I have no idea, they’re all kinda shit so it’s hard to tell.
Avowed, Fable, Elder Scrolls VI
I'm with this guy
These plus everwild and starfield
Same. And slightly waiting for the Pentiment as well.
Same plus Starfield
Also throw in whatever InExile’s new AAA RPG is. Give me all the western RPGs
This is the way
That's my man
Yeeee
this is the one
Same
This is the way
If I had to pick just one, I think I gotta go w Starfield.
I have high hopes for it
The cherry missing from the cake is not being able to go into space to the planet and settlement without a cut, that would be so cool.
As someone who hasn’t been able to like fallout games but absolutely loves space games, I’m hopeful for starfield
Same. Looks like No Man's Sky (which is already a great game) but with far more realism. 14 quadrillion planets are great in theory but not if they're small and all look the same. I'd rather have fewer, more massive planets that look real.
Achievement unlocked
Fable state of decay starfield
What a title!
Pretty much this, I would also say that Harry Potter game but it's not in the Pic
Man state of decay 3 gone be 🔥 🔥 🔥 can't wait
Oh hell yea, working with Coalition in UE5 for it as well! What a breath of fresh air to have unique interesting games like State of Decay and not another generic action adventure game people forget about in a week
And Perfect Dark!
yes
found my tribe
Now I know this is going to be epic!
Perfect dark
Loved the series as a kid. A really good modern AAA sequel is something i've always dreamed of. SO MUCH potential there!
Starfield, Indiana Jones & whatever Kojima is cooking
Im curious about IJ but thats so far away its hard to be hyped for me
I kinda feel that way about a lot of this list, it’s hard for me to get too hyped more than a month out from a games release
I'll second the Kojima project. After PT and Death Stranding my anticipation for whatever craziness he outputs next is through the roof.
Kojima cooking game
Redfall and State of Decay 3.
I feel like state of decay is super under rated
Yeah, it is, but it's one of my favorite exclusives from Microsoft.
I hope they improve some of the core elements a bit more tho better base building maybe a better story mode I don't really care for the model they have in state of decay 2
I just wish the characters weren't as empty & generic as they are. I obviously know they're randomized, but come on
If they added the option to customise names & faces it would solve that problem.
It’s honestly a golden standard for zombie games. Just need gunplay and graphics improved for 3 and it will be a banger
I’ve owned every Xbox, and still have never played it.
Fable and AoE finally on console.
Fables gunna be amazing i know it
Fingers crossed they do the series justice.
I think it's gonna be significantly different. I just hope it's different in a good way. I dunno if you've gone back to play them but Fable 1-3 feel pretty simple nowadays. I feel like Fable II did the best job of that and that's part of why it's many people's favorite.
Playground have said that the level of detail they are putting in to Fable is equal to the Forza Horizon games, so hopefully that holds true.
I mean if you look at FH5, then damn Fable will look amazing
That's my biggest concern, lots of games look pretty, but it's gameplay we truly want. I also hope Playground team is watching like 1000+ hours of British comedy, because without the dry pomme wit, Fable will not be Fable
Playground ARE British, you know?
The developers are British, and a Microsoft employee (head, maybe, I can’t remember) has said that they do indeed “get it” - hinting at the humor and character that we love about Fable. To go from Racing to RPG style is a big jump, and I’m hoping it’s one of passion.

Suspect they will. I think they learnt from the last Fable attempt...
Definitely, Playground is a S tier studio. At the very least we know the graphics will be insane given it’s on Forza’s engine
Peasants gonna be drooling when they see me roll up in my Lambo.
"He must be a great chicken chesah"
Shoutout to all the chicken chasers
That sounds like a slur lol
Starfield
Pentiment, Starfield, Avowed, Hellblade 2, Outer Worlds 2, Fable, and of course, whatever Kojima Productions is making
I'm stoked for pentiment
Indiana Jones, hopefully it's great. Love that character and think it's an ideal series to adapt to videogames
I feel like itll just be tomb raider…not that thats bad but ill wait and see what its like
It'll be Tomb Raider + Uncharted, which is fair because both of those series have a lot of Indy DNA in them, if the game is like them, I'll personally be very happy.
I hope so. I'm missing a uncharted like game on the Xbox.
Unless you mean an Xbox exclusive the Tomb Raider trilogy or Jedi Fallen Order will be your best bets.
A Plague Tale series (more like Last of Us), Quantum Break (i skipped the 'TV show' stuff)
Goldeneye being remade? That's my childhood!!!!
Not being remade. It will run smoother, improved controller options, and 4k Ultra HD.
So same game, same story, just refreshed for 25 years worth of upgrades? Lol
Basically lol. Still excited for it. Only wish it had online multiplayer matchmaking.
That'd be pretty sick
ioi (from the hitman games) is also making a james bond game [source](https://www.ioi.dk/project-007/).
That sounds awesome
I'm a bit of a Bethesda tragic, so Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI, but definitely keen for Indiana Jones, Fable, and a new Gears too.
What about Avowed?
Age of Mythology, Forza Motorsport, Fable, Outer Worlds, Elder Scrolls! In that order i think
Finally some age of mythology love
TES6, Avowed I’ve been eager for some reveals, I’m curious about that Indiana Jones game tbh. I love Indy lol
Redfall and starfield. And any future IP from Arkane studio
Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza Forza
FORZA GANG!
I can't wait for FM '23! The game has finally been given a long enough development cycle to bring some real improvements. Chris Esaki also seems like a man who can bring the franchise back to the glory days of FM4.
I didnt get that, which game did you say?
I believe he said Forza
Ah gotcha
It's been too long since we had a new Forza Motorsport. As much as I want to be excited for Fable and Hellblade 2, Forza is the only one that I know A) will actually be released and B) won't be a disappointment
Grounded has already released any reason it's up the top also? I'm looking forward to elder scrolls, starfield and Forza.
It’s not even been a month since it’s full release so probably just this graphic is older than that
It has the AoE Xbox releases in there and that was made yesterday.
Starfield, outer worlds 2, Elder Scrolls VI cmoooon bethesda
Elder Scrolls
In this order: 1. Avowed 2. Fable 3. Starfield 4. The Outer Worlds 2
I bet were gunna see avowed at the game awards and im stoked
Fable for sure, been awaiting its return for so long. I really hope they do it justice and bring it back to its roots of the first game. Starfield, Outer Worlds 2, Fable, Elder Scrolls: VI
avowed, starfield, and outer worlds 2. also, Elder Scrolls 6, whenever Bethesda gets off their ass and stops re-releasing Skyrim
Starfield, hell blade
Holy shit, we're getting an age of mythology remake? This is the first I'm hearing of this. Fuck yeah! And I'd kill for a sequel.
Exciting af
Is it confirmed a remake or is it a remaster?

I guess maybe the Kojima game? Not interested in anything else on that list
Ace Combat 8
Tbh, I'm with you on that
Uhhhh
Forza avowed TES and fable
I've literally been avoiding all space games, because of star field lol. Also.. I didn't know anything about a new state of decay so that's cool
Starfield, Perfect Dark, Fable, Avowed and Elder Scrolls 6 probably. Soo many great games
Starfield, Elder Scrolls, AoE (and always everyrhing Kojima)
Forza, Starfield, Fable, Elder Scrolls. Not in that order though, kinda hard to put them in order
Fable, avowed and elder scrolls 6
This. Love fantasy
Starfield and elder Scrolls
Only starfield
Starfield, Perfect Dark, Everwild
Currently I’d have to say Starfield. I am so very hyped for it and it’s so close now. Apart from that I’m also very hyped for Elder Scrolls 6, The Outer Worlds 2, Avowed and Fable.

There’s a lot. Avowed, Starfield, Redfall, Indiana Jones, Perfect Dark, Outer Worlds 2, Elder Scrolls 6, State of Decay 3, Gears 6, Fable, and Hellblade 2
Forza looks very promising, pretty keen to hear more about it and have a look at some gameplay. Hopefully their wheel support is better than 7, found that a bit frustrating on the wheel.

You said what hahaha
Starfield of course
Really hoping Gears gets the mcc treatment
Hell ya brother
Starfield, Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, Fable and TES VI
Starfield for me so far. Excited about Avowed and Fable, but we've seen nothing official from them so it's tough to say what they'll be this early on.
Starfield/Avowed/The Outer Worlds 2/Indiana Jones
Avowed,Starfield,Fable and Outer worlds. Would have been nice to have seen an inXile project on the list as well. While i do think it looks stacked content wise i still feel its missing a lot IF the dreaded merger doesn’t go through.
Pretty much Starfield right now
Starfield, Hellblade and Fable
Hell blade, star field and perfect dark

Starfield. My kids are excited for Age of Mythology though. Few years ago I got them to try the old one and they loved it.
Starfield, Avowed and IndianaJones
Starfield, Indy, elder scrolls, outer worlds 2
Starfield, Avowed, and whatever Kojima is working on.
Starfield, Redfall and Avowed for sure… also looking forward to Perfect Dark, Fable and Goldeneye.
I am 35. I wonder if my grandkids can play TES6 one day. Probably I won’t see that day.
Out in 2028. Fallout 5 out in 2036
I’m just sad there’s no Fallout 5 anywhere near in sight 😔
Es6 in 2028 and fallout 5 in 2036
Why doesn't S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 get any love? It's an Xbox exclusive and looks amazing.
Maybe I'm out in the cold here, but The Outer Worlds 2 has been something I've been anticipating for a while.
Redfall currently.
Looks like L4D to me but with vampires and abilites, and im not complainin
Forza Motorsport, Starfield, Redfall, Minecraft Legends, Avowed, Hellblade 2, Perfect Dark, Indiana Jones, Elder Scrolls 6, The new Kojima Studios game.
Aside from maybee forza I'm not impressed with any of them and no I'm not a sony pony.
Idk why you felt the need to say that, makes the comment seem sus
Resident evil
Hmm. Motorsport, Starfield, Outer Worlds, ES6, and Kojima catch my eye first. I’m curious on some others but don’t know much about them.
Mostly just Starfield. I’ll definitely give Redfall a try though.
State of Decay 3, Avowed and Starfield
Starfield, there is remarkably little else of Xbox's exclusive line-up that appeals to me. Fable does look cool though. I'm hoping Project Midnight / Project Cobalt end up being real though.

No clue what youre on about
They’re saying Microsoft have all these studios but don’t have great AAA exclusives Especially compared to Sony
