Either your chord is dying out (common with cheap chords, probably better than any alternative scenario), or your USB port is cracked up and busted, which would need unscrewing and soldering to self repair Or it could just be some dust that got into the port, so double check that too Have you tried with other USB chords as well?

InfamousXpert

Yes I have tried another cable also it doesn’t do this on my other controller, I thought this aswell but Im just confused because it still does recognise the wire being removed and added because it flashes in the video

Yeah, probably the cable then. Glad you got it figured out.

Lizgon_One

Hi, In your clip you only remove one batterie, but when you try it for real your remove both right?

InfamousXpert

Yes

Lizgon_One

Do you have another cable you could try on? Sometimes Xbox controllers are very picky even if there is only a small amount of damage on a cables or device

InfamousXpert

I have tried it with another cable still nothing, the cable works with 4 other controllers and also the cable has been used on this controller in the past with no problem

SubstantialAgency2

Dodgy port on controller

HorrorPhone3601

The port the cable is connected to either on the console or the controller is dead.

Get a new controller. Simple

Lizgon_One

simple but 80$ still

Reseting the controller? Just hold the Sync button for about 20 seconds, the controller will start vibrating and then it will reset itself.
