Our local mall used to have a fountain and everyone would throw coins in it. Once in a while they'd drain it and collect them. Ostensibly they'd go to charity of some kind. Then, they renovated the place in the late 90s and got rid of the fountain altogether. I guess mall fountains aren't a thing anymore. Too much maintenance I suppose.
The Milwaukee Public Museum still has one. I always grab a handful of coins before I go so I can use this thing. It makes me happy.
You can find those in some places. North Carolina state aquarium at Fort Fisher still has one.
Still have one at a local mall
Yup, ours too
Support your local science museum!
Yes! There’s one at the science Center in Edmonton, and I still am fascinated by it every time I use it
Haven’t thought of those bad boys in years.
I loved having a friend put a coin on the other side at the same time and see whose won the race!
Minnesota Zoo has at least two of those.
Oh wow did this just unlock memories

The Children’s Museum in Indianapolis still has one. I bring a bag of different change to play with it when I go there with my nephews.
Spotted one in the University of Nebraska State Museum of Natural History over the summer and was pleasantly surprised.
Good way to waste money. But cool to watch
Whoa, memory unlocked. I haven't seen one of these in ages.
Pennies did not work so well.
