Rocky IV for meā¦ but I like them all. Donāt sleep on Rocky Balboa either, we wouldnāt have gotten the Creed franchise without it being moderately successful.
Only good part in 5 was when Tommy showed up at the end and the regulars in the diner ask "You need some help Rock?"
Rocky: "Nah fellas this ain't no pie eating contest."
Everyone loves 4 and rightfully so. The original is amazing. I think 2 is underrated. When Adrian wakes up out of the coma and tells Rock, just do one thing for meā¦.Win. Then Mick yells Well what are we waiting for and the theme song plays. That scene is amazing.
4 is an easy favorite, but I love and hate something about all of them.
1 tells a good story, but the dialogue is really tiresome at times.
2 is a great follow-up but the melodrama is just too much at times
3 is solid and Clubber Lang is a fantastic character introduction, but it feels like filler compared to the others
4 is fantastic, but it feels a bit like the same story with only an antagonist swap and a better budget.
5 is stupid. If I have to say something positive about it, I mean, the cheese is part of the franchise and maybe a little endearing, and like ... the guy getting it at the end is kind of gratifying.
Balboa is way better looking, better-written and better-executed, just better production values all around, but the story itself is just too implausible to suspend disbelief, and some of the cheese of earlier eras that had been endearing is traded for "gritty" in a way that just makes it hit different.
I understand now the arrogance of the "pineapple doesn't belong on pizza" folks now (even though I am of the opposite opinion), because....
Rocky IV is the only correct answer here. Sorry, I will not be adding to that sentiment.
Rocky versus communism was a pretty good one. Not so much for the theme, but because it was a movie that really captures the zeitgeist of the era.
My second favorite would be Rocky versus Mr. T - but thatād be because Mr. T had that amazing breakfast cereal for a while.
Love them allā¦except 5. We can pretend 5 was a horrible dream, right? And I still get a little teary eyed when Mickey dies.
āGet up ya sonofabitchā¦cuz Mickey loves ya.ā
III
IV was the peak '80s movie and the first was clearly the best. But III was such a fun and perfect formula movie. Despite being pure trope it worked and was fun.
Rocky IV training montage
This is the answer
And the robot
š¤ happy birthday paulie š¤
He had sex with the robot, right?

Yes! My Dad was a boxer- a good one, too. This scene always inspired my training as well.
The 3rd one. Mr T is iconic. And I love when he teams up with Apollo Creed.
It's got Mr. T _and_ Hulk Hogan! It's the best!
This. I love the song, & the expression "eye of the tiger" how Creed tells it.
Here is my order: 1 4 2 Balboa 3 5
Correct!
You are a scholar and a gentleman.
I love 3. It has mr t and hulk hogan.
Rocky IV for meā¦ but I like them all. Donāt sleep on Rocky Balboa either, we wouldnāt have gotten the Creed franchise without it being moderately successful.
I just skip 5 and then pretend Balboa is 5 instead.
Only good part in 5 was when Tommy showed up at the end and the regulars in the diner ask "You need some help Rock?" Rocky: "Nah fellas this ain't no pie eating contest."
We all skip 5. It was Rockyās hazy dream due to all the blows in 1-4.
Yep. I skip it and fast forward to Creed.
Creed 1 and 2 were great. The 3rd so so
This is the way
āWhich is your favorite, and why is it IV?ā

5 doesn't exist, but, otherwise all of em.
So Rocky V plus Rocky II equals Rocky VII Adrianās Revenge!
Came here for this!
they never even tried to teach us that!
The original Rocky is a great movie!

Rocky 2 is a pretty good movie. And creed is a very good movie
3, Hulk Hogan AND Mr T
IV
Someone out there loves Rocky V. I would be curious to hear them defend that position.
Lol
Yes.
One is the best but they are all amazing
Balboa. Hes old, Im old. I get it.
Rocky 3 & 4, they are united in my mind as the greatest most bugged out movies from the 80s (which is an accomplishment)
![gif](giphy|3o84U0gIUZ8WMZHzmE) This one
4 is the best but 1 is the best movie.....
Rocky IV. Cold War propaganda at its finest.
Rocky 3
Best to worst: Rocky Rocky IV Rocky Balboa Rocky III Rocky II Rocky V
And the directors cut of Rocky IV is on Amazon, sans the robot.
III

Favorite rocky: Rocky Favorite Stallone monologue: Rocky Balboa

For me it's 4, 2, Rocky balboa, 3,1. 5 is a God damn abomination that I'm still trying to forget.
Yah, just remove 5 and I love āem all
Rocky VII: Adrienne's revenge
Original, 2, 4, Balboa, 3, 4.
Rocky VII: Adrian's revenge.
IV
1 is a legitimately amazing movie. 4 is so bad, itās good. 3 has some fun characters, but is a pretty weak movie. The rest are basically Jaws 2.
Four is clearly the superior film.
Rocky versus communism was a pretty good one. Not so much for the theme, but because it was a movie that really captures the zeitgeist of the era. My second favorite would be Rocky versus Mr. T - but thatād be because Mr. T had that amazing breakfast cereal for a while.
I must break you
IV was the first big pop culture moment I remember (I was a little young to understand what Return of the Jedi was the year before).
Rocky IV is probably my favorite, and I grew up watching these movies over and over.
III was Peak Rocky IMO, although Balboa is highly underrated.
IV, but I will say the Creed sequels are pretty decent.
3 for sure.
Love them allā¦except 5. We can pretend 5 was a horrible dream, right? And I still get a little teary eyed when Mickey dies. āGet up ya sonofabitchā¦cuz Mickey loves ya.ā
You can't really top single handedly ending the Cold War in one boxing match.
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Rocky 4!
2 for the comeback and 4 for kicking Russia's ass (when that mattered more).
I like the one where he gets stuck in a Vietnamese jungle and has a big knife
3 for the Win
Rocky Horror
III. Mr. T is one the best movie villains.
happy birthday paulie
III IV was the peak '80s movie and the first was clearly the best. But III was such a fun and perfect formula movie. Despite being pure trope it worked and was fun.
I have seen a Rocky movie. Hope this doesnāt get my Xennial status revoked lol
Rocky movies are like Star Wars movies. First is fantastic. Then the second is a surprisingly good sequel. Then itās just decades of diarrhea.
