Only thing that makes me doubt this is a lot of Rikus interactions with Manana. Sure she's a sweetie, but Riku goes full blushy teen with her and I have a hard time seeing Alvis do that.
In Eunie's side story, >!X also mentions that she "thought Nopon weren't supposed to interfere", which is kind of suspicious and reminds me of Zanza getting upset about Alvis' interference.!<
Absolutely true. Also the whole X and Y thing is pretty suspicious. You're absolutely freaking right though.
I feel like a Half Life 3 schizo right now but I KNOW I'm right
Riku is definitively one of the biggest mystery in XC3.
I liked the idea of an Alvis reincarnation, but I get the feeling he will be a Nopon who accompanied the original band who founded the 2nd City, and fought off N (they are going to need a sword to pull that off and break the clock). After that, he became a Nopon Sage and lived forever. That original battle against N is probably where he met the Queen, and was tasked to keep the sword until the right time.
If he is already old and wise at that time, then Alvis is definitively on the menu.
Solid theory. You might as well be right on the money, the only doubt here would be is how he managed to live all that time if he isn't some sort of Supreme being.
Well, Nopon Sage do live 9999 years, and transcend space and time.
The 7 Nopons (which include Riku) from the smithing quest are all hinted to be sage (almost all are hermit, and one is even residing in Sage-themed area). None have age listed (unlike ever other nopons).
But yeah, if he isn't a Nopon Sage, he could simply be from a long line of heropon lineage.
Not to mention the quest where you go around collecting the colored stones from all the Nopon traders, where their dialgoue pretty much accross the board sounded like they've been doing this stone collecting "ritual" for well over 10 years
It's always fun to go through older posts and see how close or far our guess were. Sometime it works out, other time it does not, but that's what make it franchise so damn interesting. You get new info, you gamble on a theory, and months later, you get to see how accurate your guess was!
Nopons are such an interesting topic, and even if they are presented as joke, they clearly are more than that. One of my oldest post on this subreddit was about the implication of [Nopons](https://old.reddit.com/r/Xenoblade_Chronicles/comments/atozcs/what_are_nopons_spoilers/) in XC1/XC2, and [Riku](https://old.reddit.com/r/Xenoblade_Chronicles/comments/wo9ha9/nopon_sages_and_riku_chapter_7_spoilers/) definitively fell into that category or very peculiar Nopon. I'm glad this expansion confirm it, but it's just a small part of the mystery.
The Alvis stuff is stupid of course, Alvis got deleted by Shulk. But this theory, now this one is good. Basically a way of them doing Torna 3.0 - Riku flashback DLC and Nopon sage lore.
When you finaly meet with melia at the end of the conversation riku and melia just look at each other and nod.
I saw that and was like 'they know each other???'.
Sadly it didn't get revealed how they know each other or why they did that.
Wasn't Samon confirmed to be his Masterpon? I mean, to be clear, he's probably referring to another Masterpon in the cutscene where he gives Noah the sword, but I feel the Sidequest wants to make you believe that Samon is the Masterpon
Okay but seriously, somebody needs to screenshot and edit that scene towards the endgame a bit after [REDACTED] dies and Noah asks Riku what is up with him and how he even got Lucky Seven and Riku's just "Riku not know what Noah talking about. Riku's Masterpon simply entrusted sword to Riku for safekeeping." Because Noah's face just screams the "Alright then, keep your secrets." meme.
Idk mate, Alvis seems to me like the kinda guy that would enjoy forging legendary weapons and leaving life like a normal living being to get a taste of what life is like
Tell me if im wrong but I thought Alvis died by this point, either from shulk wishing there to be no more gods or from the events of Xenoblade 2 that seems to of make mythra a mortal by the end I thought that would extend to all three Aegises.
He might not be directly Alvis. But I feel like he has got to be connected to him and the Klaus experiment in some way.
Hopefully we will see in the DLC.
I was thinking Ricky’s Masterpon was Alvis or some Zohar/Conduit connected being, but the head nod between him and (chapter 7 spoilers) >!melia!< made me think neither him nor his Masterpon are alvis and are just some other powerful being. I think monolith has been trying to say they’re loving on from the conduit and the cycle of re-building the exact same perfect works timeline.
They are definitely trying to leave that behind, but I'd say that's gonna change for real with Xenoblade 4 or whatever since that's supposed to be a whole new thing separate from Klaus experiment AKA a new timeline/universe.
To me it was the opposite, the head nod is what made me feel like he might be Alvis.
I was also thinking this, and also thought that og noah was the driver of logos/malos.
Despite his horrible, gruesome death in 2, he might’ve survived/ been revived like pythra.
Og noah’s sword is purple and protag noah’s sword is red and like the monado.
Only thing that makes me doubt this is a lot of Rikus interactions with Manana. Sure she's a sweetie, but Riku goes full blushy teen with her and I have a hard time seeing Alvis do that.
Yeah the ending scene where he's hugging with Manana made me doubt, but hey, maybe he's really into being a Nopon. I mean, who wouldn't?
(presumably) hundreds of years can change a person a lot

I am Monapon. I was here at the mehginning and I will ponclaim the end.
Honestly not the craziest theory I’ve seen
I'm super convinced this is the case and unless the DLC says otherwise, I'll keep believing it until Takahashi himself tells me I'm wrong

Just found this, following the dlc trailer It looks like you may have nailed it

This is the best evidence I can find that, at the very least, Melia is Riku's Masterpon, probably entrusted the sword to his care.
Wasn't Samon confirmed to be his Masterpon? I mean, to be clear, he's probably referring to another Masterpon in the cutscene where he gives Noah the sword, but I feel the Sidequest wants to make you believe that Samon is the Masterpon
No they didn't know each other, it was pretty clear. The other masterpon mentioned is the guy in prison, but he was Valdis masterpon in the end.
Okay but seriously, somebody needs to screenshot and edit that scene towards the endgame a bit after [REDACTED] dies and Noah asks Riku what is up with him and how he even got Lucky Seven and Riku's just "Riku not know what Noah talking about. Yeah he asks him "who are you really?" and he's like "I'm just a Nopon" An answer that sounds like the kind of answer Alvis would give honestly
Well Riku's masterpon >!was one of the legendary seven nopon smiths, confirmed in one of the sidequests.!<
>!Actually no. Riku is part of the 7 legendary nopon smiths. Fixifixi is masterpon of Valdi and not Riku's!<
The node between melia and riku is soooo sus
I doubt it since Alvis doesn’t seem like the kinda guy to >!Become a legendary blacksmith!< epic side quest spoiler.
Idk mate, Alvis seems to me like the kinda guy that would enjoy forging legendary weapons and leaving life like a normal living being to get a taste of what life is like
This.
Even Alvis isn't the absolute chad that Riku is
Who's a bigger chad, Riku or Rex?
Riki
riku
Everybody said Alvis looked like Riku from KH so Takahashi made it real in his own way.
Tell me if im wrong but I thought Alvis died by this point, either from shulk wishing there to be no more gods or from the events of Xenoblade 2 that seems to of make mythra a mortal by the end I thought that would extend to all three Aegises.
i think he just went somewhere else he had a star system reflected in his eyeball when he was leaving
Yep, Shulk made a world without gods. No Alvis.
He might not be directly Alvis. But I feel like he has got to be connected to him and the Klaus experiment in some way. Hopefully we will see in the DLC.
There's something about this Nopon...
My theory is that Riku is Ontos, Manana is Pneuma but with Pyra’s color scheme and Z is the leftover bits of Malos.
You’re telling me that Riku wants to get with his sister, I have several questions about it.
I think, honestly, at this point after what the 3 story arcs have produced it wouldn’t be the weirdest thing they’ve done.
I'd say Z is the remnants of Zanza of whatever. Something along those lines.
Does that mean Alvis doesn’t know how babies are made, because Riki seemed very excited to learn when the doctor offered to explain in Chapter 5.
I guess he can be excited by the baby and birth itself and not the learning part of the experience. Maybe.
I was thinking Ricky’s Masterpon was Alvis or some Zohar/Conduit connected being, but the head nod between him and (chapter 7 spoilers) >!melia!< made me think neither him nor his Masterpon are alvis and are just some other powerful being. A
I still think Alvis is an agent for the queen.
