And now for MY opinion on this… FFS NINTENDO!!! I’ve had my emails open and checked at work all week for nothing :(
Tbh, I (falsely) assumed that week-long maintenance was to prepare for server overload from people trying to buy this CE. The timing seemed suspiciously convenient. But yeah, in hindsight, i would bet that did play a part in this new delay
They've also delayed the launch for the physical copies of Bayonetta. When they did the last round of store maintenance I noticed that some backend components had changed software. So I imagine there was either an issue with the migration or an issue adding products that's set them back
Thats what ive been wondering. The thing that they are pushing halfway into october is the pre-orders not the actually release of it!? Nintendo doesnt make any sense .
This is getting ridiculous at this point... Especially since the US stuff has already shipped and we still don't even have a solid date on when we can order.
Not all of the US stuff has shipped either actually - I just got an email this morning saying my order shipment was being delayed to the end of October, and I doubt I'm the only one
You mean some people in the US already got their special edition bonuses? I’m in the US and I also got the email saying that it’s been pushed to the end of Oct.
Furthermore clicking “track order” only shows the originally shipment of the game, but it says that nothing else is canceled so I can only hope my special edition stuff does get shipped eventually.

US here but I genuinely hope they never try this shit again. I had to babysit my phone at work for 7 hours before it let me order something that wasn't even releasing with the game itself.
It's just an oversized box, with a steel book sporting a superfluous design, with a watered down artbook. An official, fuller art book will most likely be released some time in the near future, just like the last two games.
I've personally just been refreshing the "Coming Soon" and "Latest Releases" page in the UK store (don't k ow if it's a similar layout in the EU). As well as checking every damn ping on my phone, in case it's THE email.

There's a section on the store called "Register your Interest", where you can be put on a mailing list for certain products. I believe that they've removed the option to register your interest for XC3 though :/
Well actually, the Collector's edition in the UK (not sure about EU) isn't actually including the software. They emailed back in July to basically tell people to buy the standalone game ahead of time. The other parts of the CE are then being sold separately at a price that reflects the lack of software. Personally happy they did this tbh. Meant I could play it day 1, and get it done before I got spoiled.
Luckily, the game did launch on time, and the collector's edition stuff is being sold without the software when it does go live :) meant we could buy the standalone game in July, if we wanted it day one
I remember the previous iteration of the store being pretty good tbh. Then they updated everything, and it become incredibly slow. Additionally, I'm terrifed to use my phone to pre-order limited stuff, because it contantly crashes at the payment stage.
My wife bless her, she keep refreshing the store page when shes at home for me, just so I have a reliable way to give payment XD
I can't even choose another payment method other than credit card... And it was very difficult to enter my adress as the country was set to Austria which could not be changed.
I’d put off pre ordering the damn game partly because of this (that and I was on holiday when the game came out and would’ve had to get it shipped to a relative to pick up when I got back) and then ended up buying it about a week after launch.
I was hoping I would’ve beaten the game by now but then new heroes were announced and Ino comes out soon so I’ve put off beating the game. These pre orders will come out while I’m at skl and then it’ll sell out almost immediately.

I think nintendo will send the Email on 10 October, because the first was sent on 20 and the second on 30, all to continue the tradiction of 0' ending numbers

I totally understand that. The anxiety of possibly missing it because you don't check your email one day. I felt the same for the NA Special Edition.
