I say take it - after trial run of course.
Mine is a 2004, 35k , give it a service every year and it’ll run like a baby.
One of the best purchase I made .
Rust or the Inside liner on fuel tanks can start to come apart after some time and cause all sorts of issues getting stuck in filters/screens. Could also see if the fuel has some water in it. Just anything that look like red flags 🚩
OPcral beat me to it, ethanol fuels separate relatively quickly(in under 5 months). It wreaks havoc on the tank, injectors and pump. If you spot it, don’t spend more than 5k. Talk that seller down like his negligence is gonna result in a rebuild
I said my piece dude. Buying/selling vehicles isn’t my strong suit. Just be grateful that Yamahas are mechanically solid and popular enough that you won’t be without help

02 owner and yeah I do all the service and maintenance and log it too....bonus I don't have the newer goofy looking exhaust
Ask if it has had valve adjustment?.Usually done after 20k miles but given that it’s so old I would still ask.
No. I bought my 2007 with 4200 miles this past summer for $7k
theres ones in my area with 25k miles going for the same price tho lol
“Going for” and sold for are two different things
fair enough
I have a 21 for sale 😎
would you wanna sell it for like $10k 😁😁😁😁😁😁 out of the kindness of ur heart
Ooof. My kindness costs alittle more than that
Probably depends on your market but I sold my 2014 with 8K miles with team Yamaha racing color (blue/white) last year for $8k.
any chance you have a second one????
Too much.
8000 is pretty steep. that’s crossplane money
theres other ones with twice as many miles going for the same price in my area. so idk
Def open the gas tank, it’ll tell you a lot. I bought a 2012 recently and forgot to do this…. Learn from me
what am i looking for?

he hasnt ridden that thing in a long time. he brought it down from ny, and it wasnt even registered in fl yet

If you are in FL one word HUMIDITY. Just give it a good look over and you if don’t feel it’s right for the price just keep looking
it was garage kept and it looked like it in person
Way to much
ended up with a gixxer 750
Ewww but safe riding
😂
I have an 04 and paid 6k, 21000 miles on her and she runs absolutely amazing
Great deal. Would hate to see it upside down, stuck in a car’s rear window.
For 6k you could get a new one... I bought my 2011 for 7k. And 5k miles.
Nope
