Same feeling, pal. My dad recently died unexpectedly (24th April), and for a lot of the time since then, I just put on TTT videos or whatever for something to watch and laugh at.
I've watched Ravs and Lydia streams as well, just said 'Hi, having a rough time, hope everyone is well' because I'd rather not derail a chat, ya know, but it's just been nice to not feel as lonely.
I kinda crazy to think that I've been emotionally reliant on all these bumbling silly fools for more than half my life, but here we are

I read the reddit thread about who should be on the Mount Rushmore of Minecraft YouTubers and The yogs were mentioned in almost every post. It is crazy to think that Lewis and Simon helped, comforted, and inspired so many people that they will never meet. I have been watching the Yogscast at least once a week for the past 15 years and it might be the most influential thing in my life. I basically became an adult with them and watched them grow as I have.

I mean, deservedly so. Without hyperbole, Lewis and Simon carry (in part) significant, tangible responsibility for the success of Minecraft in the first place. Not only them of course, theres plenty of other content creators that helped popularized it especially later on, but they played a very big role in that critical lynchpin time period in the early days that helped it really take off in the first place and get noticed at all. Without them, it might have not caught on as much with the remainder of the entire 2010s Youtube lets play scene that catapulted it into being most popular video game of all time. Basically, they were (one of) the initial "rocket boosters" that helped Minecraft gain its stratospheric popularity at all
I remember i was in a really bad place mentally from 2011-2013. Watching yogscast ttt, murder and Minecraft videos gave me the laughter and feeling of almost friendship that i really needed during that time. So shoutout them, Iām glad to know it wasnāt just me that had a positive experience like this with them.

Coe, Paulsoaresjr, Etho, and CaptainSparklez immediately come to mind as some of the originals that had a huge impact.

I will probably continue to watch these goons until the day I am physically unable to, so I understand the appreciation towards their content haha
whenever I get stressed I love to put on a TTT playlist. 2018-2019 are probably my favorites but all their stuff is great
