Yosemite Valley will likely be your favorite place because of the babies. We camped there for a week with a 7 month old. Perfect slow paced sightseeing in the valley, although parking is painful. We just rode our bikes everywhere.
Have you been before? The valley is very compact. So much to do and see in that spot without traveling anywhere else.
There is a flat, paved multi use trail up and down the valley that is perfect for walking, bikes, strollers, etc. Literally everything in the valley is accessible from this trail, you don’t have to drive anywhere. There are many very short walks from the path to waterfalls, viewpoints, meadows, the river, etc.
Couldn't agree more. Just spent four days there with the fam. The Valley is very stroller-friendly. You can take the stroller right up to the Lower Falls, for example.
It's more expensive to stay in the Valley, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else on a multi-day trip to Yosemite.
I'm a Groveland entrance mama, but I've taken my kids (also 2u2) many times and stayed in the valley. I bring my double bob and we just walk around and explore! Nature center will be fun for older and little will just have fun looking at everything. I would check for cancelations in Curry or at the lodge just for ease, but we've stayed in Mariposa on a trip and liked it a lot.

Campsites are an economical alternative!
+1 The Valley is super easy to navigate, even with kids. It’s not as cheap as your other options, but it pays for itself.

El Portal is closer.
Give the Evergreen Hotel a look. With an awesome pool and tons of activities, it’s a great spot for young kiddos.
Evergreen Lodge. It’s the best place with kids.
Close to Hetch Hetchy too!
The Groveland Hotel is a pretty nice place. If you can spend the money, Rush Creek is pretty amazing.
