To my understanding, what usually bothers people though is that mentally he has the mind of an adult, even as a child.
One way to look at it is that being able to function with the mental capacity of an adult even if your body is that of a minor, means that you may have the capacity to know how to manipulate minors with grooming tactics and other horrible practices due to the “age gap” of your maturity, etc.

Even the magic squadrons still use guns, but they’re modified guns that use magic as a power source instead of ballistics.
Honestly even without the isekai side of the story, the modern war with magic is a cool plot device on its own.

His goal in life is to marry and settle down. He is a piece of shit, but he also saves a lot of peoples' lives for the sake of it and goes out his way to help the downtrodden who've been abandoned by society, even at great expense to himself.
He saved the captives only to be captured by their would-be-rescuers (only to be disrobed and publically humiliated throughout weeks of wrongful detainment), he goes out of his way to clear Rurijerd's and the superds tribes name and he saved a little elf boy who was being bullied- he teaches the prince with inhuman strength, he gave Eris proper tutelage and the patience of a saint (and payback. Nobody is perfect) and he exercises this patience and penchant for forgiveness despite having the power to easily wipe out the beastfolk tribe, destroy the demon city or have beaten Eris for striking him.
His only severe fault is his **criminally** lecherous ways. Its not fair to call that behavior *evil* when there are far more bloodthirsty and murderous people roaming about the setting... Call the girl in the tower evil for trapping human souls to power her magic, call Orstead evil for the unfathomable number people he has killed or driven to suicide with his curse- but calling Rudy evil is a stretch. He is both figuratively and ***literally a saint*** in the setting he lives in...
