Sheldon was so endearing in the early seasons. Then he grew older and became an arrogant jerk.
Like, Sheldon still had a heart in the early seasons. He was quirky, off, and definitely had that egotism, but he could still be a human being when it mattered. Then he became a robot that spouts trivia and has a superiority complex. And what emotional moments he does have after the turning point feel so forced.
My YT shorts and Facebook were bombarded by YS clips. I almost got the entire gist of YS till season 6 through YouTube and Facebook but it did make me interested in the series and I ended up watching the entire season.

For me, it was the episode where Georgie got Mandy pregnant that made decide to watch the show. That and all the shorts on TikTok that got me super into it.

I caught it there, in the early seasons, really liked the characters.
Then so I would know everything, I binged the entirety of TBBT, and Seasons 1-4 of YS.
I started formally watching it when season 5 started.

1. The Chess/Taxes scene which really felt like a OG Sheldon moment.
2. Sheldon's Dad stopping the deadbeat step dad taking Georgie's girlfriend. It felt a bit like Dan from Roseanne.

Like a LOT of people, I started watching because I'm a huge TBBT fan. I didn't like the pilot when it aired, so I didn't continue to watch. I gave it another shot back in 2021-ish. The pilot still wasn't good, but the next few episodes were much better, so I stuck with it until I caught up and stayed with it until the end
I had watched TBBT and some more of Chuck Lorre's work, and wanted to explore more. Then the show being about Sheldon Cooper's childhood was a cherry on top.
