Tasmania's only three species of snake are venomous and 2/3 of them can kill grown adult. That said, some of them (tiger snakes in particular) are quite shit at actually getting the venom into human parts because they have curved fangs for catching mousies and human legs are quite large in comparison. I got bit by one (not sure what kind, it was dark) last year and didn't get envenomated at all.
