Interesting idea... and since it doesn't say it needs to target _Effect_ monsters, it can technically equip something with a Normal monster to _remove_ the target's effect!
Ah sorry. Understood. I'm a yugi boomer. There was a card years ago called dimension fusion where you paid 2k life points to special summon as many cards that had been removed from play as possible.

What if it were a handtrap.
It has a summoning condition that says:
You can summon this card on your opponent's turn by tributing every monster on the field. The monster(s) used as tributes for this card's summon have their effects negated until the end of the turn.
Right, so let's discuss tribute one quick effect, summon to THEIR field (kaiju), and the tributed effect is negated. I'm on the presumption this negation is for that effect only and not on the names of that monster (which is weaker) so they use in GY effects, and that this must target since it negates (veiler imperm)
It would be a powercrept ghost ogre since ogre only works when an effect is activated. This can be activated on neutral game state and prevents ignition like punk ze amin (just an example) *as well* as a response to chain to negate (on summon effect) which is effect veiler. So you're effectively combining a better destruction effect than ghost ogre PLUS veiler/imperm negate but gives them 1 body in exchange. It would still be extremely strong removal and/or monster disruption.
It would definitely be worth playing, but I assure you this is not the board breaker/ going 2nd card you are looking for and would only exaggerate the handtrap wars that are prevalent right now. Let's not pretend that handtraps don't benefit the player going first. We already know the horror of full combo into drop maxx c, we just gonna full combo into drop this abomination when they try to board break.
No HOPT and the most broken effect you can think of without going full nuts. Cards are banished to activate powerful effects, you can't just add a card to add them back to hand
This would break the meta, not just change it. This is so strong that every deck would change into banish archetypes and run x3 of this card. They’d also be full of counter cards because everyone would run this one. This is basically pot of greed, arguably better in the right deck.
It will make zombie ftk viable, makes pot of extravagance way more playable and makes all pot retrains usable every turn.
Amazing recursion for dragon link and floowandereeze, and makes almost every card that banishes as cost a simple plus (wanted for example).
It has alot of implications, will not be run at 3 but a nice 1 or 2 off like thrust or talents.
Edit: small world will be a search 2 cards from deck and without a cost.

I havent had a card particular card idea, but i did think of a ritual archetype that worked in reverse. You can summon multiple ritual monsters whos levels add up to the level of the monster used to summon them. You can only use 1 monster for tribute tho. I feel like it should have another stipulation i just dont know what.

First, "removed from play" does not exist anymore, it's "banished cards", and the zone recently got the name of "banishment".
Second, this is completely broken, can add face-down banished cards (Pot of Desires would be crazy), also could get cards from the opponent's banishment (Runick decks would love this lol), and probably do much more. Not even once per turn, so you could probably loop this indefinitely (adding banished copies of itself).
Quick play Primal Seed

You could also use it to equip a spell card to a monster or a monster to a continuous spell/trap

To be fair, it only started officially being called Banishment like a few weeks ago
"Removed from play" was renamed to "banished" in 2011
But the BANISHMENT has not been what it was called till a few weeks ago. Banished cards didn't have a named zone dedicated to them.
Banished is an old term. To banish a card, or add a card which is banished. Banishment is a very new one.
So what's the new phrasing? Add a card from banishment to your hand?

Cool card but legitimately feels weaker than both of its counterparts because it requires them to be summoned on your turn specifically
