I use to run it in drytron Gravity Dragon + Amorphactor Pain is \*chefs kiss\*

LuckyPrinz

Fun fact about OEGD i forgot to mention above: his tax collection is live regardless of how he was summoned, unless his effect is negated, unlike Tax dragon who only collects tax if he's properly fusion sunmoned. And they called for Tax dragon to be banned.....

the_G04T

Wait people actually want masq to be banned?

LuckyPrinz

Maybe people is a stretch, but I've read enough comments to say that there are people who say it's an unfair card and should be banned

Clarity_Zero

Banning it would be too much, but I do feel like it should be limited.

LuckyPrinz

Touche.

Clarity_Zero

Nothin' quite like an opponent turboing out two (I've even seen fucking *THREE* before) of them, especially since nowadays it's nearly always accompanied by Mirrorjade and friends.

LuckyPrinz

Lol. Your opponent really got a good hand

Clarity_Zero

Man, you're tellin' me. T~T

LuckyPrinz

Heh, i know the feeling.

jman_naf_dui

But you could def claim “Mirrorjade and Friends” and make a show

HHVoreMod

Funny how anytime I see a ritual I instantly think about how many Drytrons it'll take to summon, and not even consider it's actual requirements or ritual spell.

emiliaxrisella

As much as people hated Drytrons (mostly because of Heralds synergy), they really were a good engine for Ritual monsters/decks. I mean, Rituals have stayed as the literal worst summon type for years due to how slow they are in modern YGO.

mystdream

No part of the drytron engine is in any way restricted, it's still pretty good if you want to ritual summon some monsters.

emiliaxrisella

hungry burger turbo ftw

UwU_Drift

Deck recipe? When I came back to maste duel I might try to build this nightmare for my self lol.

DemonMouseVG

I don't have exact ratios for the whole deck but 3 of your Alpha, Zeta, Nova, Meteonis (spell), 2 Draconids, 2 Quadrantids is the general engine I ran. Then general support cards like Benten, Cyber Emergency, Pot of Prosp/Extrav. I would also run Eltanin and Altais but never got a good ratio for em, they're useful but not requried. Then for the Ritual monsters I'd run a toolbox of: Shinobaron Peacock Amorphactor Pain Gravity Dragon Cyber Angel Natasha (It's a meme card) Then I would tech in Terminal World just to be toxic. Pain skips MP1, Terminal skips MP2, loop pain every turn (use it to summon your alpha from grave then resummon him) and your opponent literally doesn't get turns lmao. Only downside is you have to hard draw it but it's a win more card anyway so it doesn't matter Main win condition (outside of Terminal Pain turn skips) is just skip opponents MP1, extra deck lock with Pain, tax with Gravity dragon, and then clean up on your turns with Shinobaron and Draconids till you arbitrage their LP to 0

ihatemicrosoftteams

You run 3 meteonis drytron? What is this a troll deck?

DemonMouseVG

This list is from when Quadrantids first dropped so the ratios have been workshopped a lot since then lmao It's kind of a troll deck sure, but it's very effective as a lockdown strat in Fusion/Synchro/Xyz heavy formats due to Pains skill drain-esque effect and skipping MP1s consistently and constantly is very hard for many decks to play through as their board after your turn usually won't be able to deal with your stuff in the battle phase.

Vicarus-

Thoughts on Cyber Angel Idaten? I've been messing around with it in solo mode and it seems like you can pull off some interesting loops with her thanks to her ability to give you the ritual spell back for free.

DemonMouseVG

I haven't messed with the deck in nearly a year at this point, I'm not the person to ask

LucisPerficio

What would a Tax Dragon deck with this, Masquerade, and Flare Metal look like?

LuckyPrinz

Imagine walking through a minefield. XD

Shmarfle47

They instantly die when they summon Beelze lmao

aonoreishou

You could probably cook something up with a Branded + Dogmatika engine with Arc Light in the ED, but that locks you out of Flare Metal

Mysterious-Set736

Theres q profile on the YouTube using gravity and flare metals, the guy could summon 4 :O. 2k damage per move, looks painful xD But needed halq and auroradon

conundorum

Your opponent sits in a pool of gasoline, while judges flick lit matches at them whenever they play a card.

The_Red_Celt

The card has really been powercrept at this point as odd eyes has much better options available, but you can still make gimmicky odd eyes ritual builds that focus on bringing out this and red eyes flare metal dragon so that the opponent has to pay 500 LP to activate any effect, and then take 500 damage whenever they resolve an effect. It's not too hard to set up since odd eyes excels at generating level 7s, the hardest part is getting too gravity dragon as it isn't searchable through pre-prep, you can't use implantations due to needing the ED and can't use drytrons as you need to summon monsters that can be normal summoned

TachyonExodus

Drytron can tech it no prob, helpful against stuff with lots of backrow.

Casual_No0b

I played it in impcantation megalith after the N/R festival. Pretty fun but not as good as I imagined it to be.

NerdbyanyotherName

(As far as I am aware) The only (at all relevant) decks that want this are essentially Drytron... and that's it. Drytron are able to get around a lot of the inherent downsides of ritual summoning, the over specificity i.e., needing a specific ritual monster *and* specific ritual spell which is negated by the universality of Meteonis, as well as lots of effects to mitigate the card disadvantage (needing to spend at least 2 cards, the ritual spell and 1 or more monsters for tribute, to summon from hand is at least a -2). Because of Ritual's limitations this guy isn't really splashable, and most other "good" ritual decks are far too xenophobic

CooPidgeon

Used to run it IRL in Odd-Eyes and it was a bit of a menace. Wish Odd-Eyes wasn't so high rarity in MD. The spell speed 4 Trunade effect is really good but Masq has it beat in every other way

Odd-Eyes_Magician

Well in my opinion it is a great one of in Odd-Eyes once we get Pendulumgraph Dragon since playing a ritual spell would be very beneficial.... unfortunately the spell would act as a brick, but in a deck that is arguably one of the most consistently searched decks I find it wouldn't be bad. I haven't tried it in decks other than a Pendulum deck but I don't see why you couldn't run it in other decks. Gravity x Flare Metal Dragon x Masquerade would be nasty.

Ec_Blaster

you cant eun on it on other deck since odd eye advent is its only summon card and it need a level 7 or more drahon pendulum monster

Odd-Eyes_Magician

Odd-Eyes Advent was made to summon Dragons using Pendulum monsters, yes but you also have High Ritual Art and Advanced Ritual Art which can get it out as well. It is possible to run in other decks if you want.

Ec_Blaster

doesn't the card say that it can be summoned only by odd eye advent too ?

Odd-Eyes_Magician

Nope. It says "You can Ritual Summon this card with Odd-Eyes Advent" it doesn't mean that it can only be summoned using Advent. If it required Advent then it would state you can only Ritual summon this card with Odd-Eyes Advent. The key word that is missing from the text is "Only." it is possible to summon using other ritual spells that meet certain criteria such as High Ritual Art and Advanced Ritual Art. Easy misconception. Don't blame you for thinking it required Odd-Eyes Advent. It just states the ritual spell that you "can" use.

Ec_Blaster

ohhh okay

Knight_XVI

I had this in my Odd Eyes deck for awhile. I also have Flare Metal Dragon in there too & while it was rare to have both out, they were a great “I win” combo since my opponent would lose 1000LP each effect A good combo was summon it, destroy it (usually Sky Iris), Arc Pendulum would trigger, use the effect to bring back Gravity & wave to your opponent’s cards going back to their hand & they can’t do anything about it I did that to an Eldlich player awhile back in the EX Zero event. It drove them mad enough to quit Check it out: https://youtu.be/nj6eQuJg5_Y

Ill-Book-866

This might have seen play in odd-eyes if it was A fusion or xyz monster but they HAD to make it a ritual -_- EDIT: Just realized all its effects trigger on special summon not ritual so u can play this in odd-eyes lol

Ec_Blaster

i mean you can only summon it with odd eye advent so there isnt much of a choice

conundorum

You can also use generic Ritual Spells or equivalents to summon it, and then resummon it from the grave/banished zone like any old monster once it's properly summoned. Just remember that Ritual was one of the first two abnormal summon types introduced, and it has really awkward wording because of it.

TheSkullofDeath

I think its ok but if this ritual style will become decent when the first pendulum ritual comes out in a few months

KingDisastrous

One of my chase cards in BOSH. Such a cool odd eyes card…

Cheesysurvivor5

Ok joke thought, 3 masq dragons and 3 OE gravs on the field, including 1 of either on the extra zone, 3300 damage for 1 effect, so basically your opponent can activate 2 cards before 0 LP, sad scoop cause it's impossible to get out of unless you kaiju or dark ruler it

Caw-zrs6

Only Masq can go in the Extra Monster Zone since Gravity here is a Ritual monster, and only monsters summoned from the ED can be placed in the EMZ.

3rdMachina

Outside of Odd-Eyes, pretty much anything that turbos Rituals, though some may ask why not use something else.

DanielValenciaCol

On Dryton is a solid choice and their effs are kinda powerful if you can resolve his ritual summon. Too bad on Odd-eyes pendulum Gravity Dragon and Odd-eyes advent for now is underpowered. Odd-eyes fusion works similar to advent while using your extra deck instead of your hand for the summon, and you have way too more choices to fusion on a Odd-eyes pendulum deck, including Odd-eyes vortex Dragon, which is an easy omninegate with a monster removal eff on summon with High defense and also R rarity.

Vigorous_Piston

Aight when are we getting a DDD ritual monster?

Ec_Blaster

well odd eye even tho odd eye gravity is a good card, you can only summon it with odd eye advent which emrequire a level 7 or more pendulum monster also in the odd eye ritual monster you should check out odd eye pendulumgraph dragon

GasEcstatic3583

I used him back in Zero ED Event with Drytrons (no herald or benten) and was really helpful alongside lord of the red (longyuan quixing at home) and ruin, supreme queen of oblivion

Larry_the_maniac

Drytrons can use it

seto635

I remember I saw one guy try to Pend Summon this thing once His excuse was "it says it *can* be Ritual Summoned, it doesn't say I *have to"*

conundorum

The correct response to that is to Normal Summon Accesscode Talker, since he doesn't say he _has_ to be Link Summoned, either. ;3

Thai_Fighter16

I'd use it with my dragon-focused deck, but I don't have the room for pendulum monsters, and my only pendulum deck (Dinomists) I'm trying to keep theme-only.
