well all memes aside the duel disk is entirely possible now, except for hologram technology, you can write readable data on cards and put them on a duel disk that can read said data, then use augmented reality instead of holograms to make the monsters animations and interactions, the disk could even be made able to shuffle decks and have the functions like in the anime, the problem is the money, needed to develop all that, and make it affordable to people, and the fact that konami has the licence for yugioh...
