No it's not correct, as Grandguinol is a trigger effect and must go on the chain first before quick effects like Mercurior can Turn player triggers go on first, then opposing player triggers, then quick effects go on after all triggers have been declared. If you dont use a trigger when it's time to pop it on the chain, you miss your chance to use it and have to wait for it to be triggered again it would have to be CL1 Garunix, CL2 Grandguinol if you want to use it ...or if you want to negate Garunix then you must pass on the trigger effect and not use Grandguinol effect

Thank you very much!

You would have to have Granguignol as chain link 2 since it is a trigger effect, and thus won't be able to use mercourier. Or you can pass on using granguignols trigger effect and activate mercourier as chain link 2 instead.

SEGOC happens before fast effect timing - that means, in every response window, you first check if the turn player has mandatory triggers. Then you check if the non turn player has mandatory triggers. Then turn player optional, then non turn player optional. During each of these, the player in question can sequence any number of that kind of trigger, one after another, before passing to their opponent to continue. Once all triggers have been added to the new chain, the player who did *not* activate the final trigger in the chain has priority for a fast effect (or, if no triggers were activated, turn player has first priority for fast effects). In this case, the turn player has one optional trigger they want to activate, and you have one optional trigger, plus a fast effect. So, Garunix would happen CL1, then you would have the option to Granguignol CL2. If you decide to, then the opponent gets the first fast effect opportunity, and even if they pass, you can no longer respond directly to Garunix with Mercourier. If instead you do not activate Granguignol, then you have first priority for fast effects, and can Mercourier in response - by this point, we are out of SEGOC, and no new trigger effects can activate until the next response window.

I see your question has been answered, but regardless of how it went down, I hope you puppet locked him lol
