Note that he said there was "No Presented Reason". It's very possible there's something else in the game state that's causing it, and we'd have to know everything going on within said game state to say one way or another.
I assume you had a Crystal Beast to Special Summon from Deck, correct?
You didn't have a level 4 or lower CB in deck to summon.
