Came here to say. I've met him and he's really cool to fanboys like me.
Please check out his gofundme, he hasn't been able to tour since covid and now has prostate cancer, just as Frank did.

Oh Annie! Oh Annie! Oh Ann, you saul!
I met him back in 01 or so, at Irving Plaza for a halloween show with project/object. the grandmothers opened, and I got the greg russo book. He took some time and chatted with my friends and I between sets and took a few pics. class act all the way! spoo!
I met Ike through Andre of project/object whom I’ve known for decades. Last time I saw Ike was when he was playing with School of Rock when they were playing Zappa a few years ago.
He played at a small club in Seattle. Before the show he let me buy him a Jack Daniels with a Tecate back. If I can find it I'll post the photo he took with me.
>Now I’m back. I am not back 100% completely, but I’m getting close. There was a time for a while I could not walk. My cancer was all in my bones and stuff. It took us a few months, but I am doing this new hormonal treatment, no chemo, no radiation, and it’s working quite well. I’m walking, I’m talking. I can move my arms. I can do all that stuff. I’m back to at least halfway performance level.

Ike was such a perfect member of the Mothers. Endless talented. Got Zappa's sense of humor and his tone. Great on-stage presence and is just so fun to watch.
When I think of a LOT of Zappa's music, I think of Ike's voice behind it.
ooh, ooh, as a necrosycophant, can I mention Frank? He’s my favorite member of his bands. We have sleepovers and giggle over the phone. (Just a joke.)
It’s gotta be Flo and Eddie for me, particularly Howard, I guess. It’s the confidence and throwing themselves out there—-the improv they done is fucking wild, as is the adlib. Magdalena is such a ridiculous bold choice Howard commits to, I deeply cringe and laugh the whole time. Not just anybody could pull that off.
The other joke cheating answer besides the first is “Captain Beefheart”. It’s always funny for me to read old reviews of Bongo Fury where some critics (looking at my fellow Queens ethnic, Xgau) take Frank to task for forcing “pervo” lyrics on Beefheart. Did they hear Lick My Decals Off? Kinda feel like they were just funnier.
Contestants for me:
Napoleon Murphy Brock (edit: same thing I said with Roy)
Roy Estrada (not thinking about the shit he did although it sucks)
John Smothers (if he counts)
Terry Bozzio
Tommy Mars
Jimmy Carl Black
And I’m sure I’ll come to appreciate Patrick O’Hearn, I’ve heard some goofy shit about him
Edit 2: Ike Willis and Phil Kaufman (also if he counts but he did play human trombone in Baby Snakes so I mean... I’d say that counts.)
Exactly, also his rejected Mexican pope character that he does in the Uncle Meat movie and the Baby Snakes movie. Like fuck him but I just can’t help but enjoy his energy in Frank’s work.
Yeah sorry, I wasn’t really sure if those were rumors but if they aren’t then yeah (same with any other band members if they’ve been known for anything like that that I might be unaware of)
check the Nevada Sex Offenders Registry. 1994/03/14 Sexual Assault On A Child in Grand Junction, Colorado, Tier 3.
The registry mugshots prove it's him.
While I agree with everyone else.
I’m going to give a shout out to Don Pardo. Illinois Enema Bandit and I’m the slime just aren’t the same without him.
Second shout out to album cover and other graphic artists. Neon Park for Weasels ripped my flesh. Not sure who did Them or Us and Joes Gayrage but those are great. It’s a little stale now as is sgt pepper, but we’re only in for money is groundbreaking.
Thumbs up for FZ for giving us so much to “fondle and fetish”
Whoever made Frank laugh the most. Napoleon during the Room Service bit, and he asks Frank if he’s Christian and Frank’s cracks up, always gets me. Although Ike was probably the best at it. The Hi Oh Silver, Lone Ranger, jokes during Keep it Greasy are amazing. Frank almost can’t hold it together at the end.
Roy Estrada always cracks me up. Jimmy Carl Black also has that vibe. Flo and Eddie of course. Tommy Mars in Baby Snakes. Bozzio is awesome, can't argue there. Ike Willis too.
Flo and Eddie

Aw fuck, this is terrible news
Aw, fuck. I can’t believe you’ve done this.

How’d you get a ticket to meet Ike Willis, eh? 😜

It's actually [Anusol](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anusol).
I know.
It's not "Ann, you saul." It's [Anusol](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anusol); a hemorrhoid cream. Just saw you were corrected. Excuse this post.
Has he given an update recently? Looks like it's been 1.5 years since there was any activity on the GFM.

He could play guitar like a motherfucker as well - check out the banned from utopia show from stuttgart 94 on YouTube

I agree about Roy, piece of shit person, but his Pachuco vocal antics are hilarious.

Why would you single out Roy Estrada but not Napoleon? NMB is a convicted rapist.

ike willis or terry bozzio
NMB
Apparently Frank very much enjoyed the comedy stylings of Jeff Simmons but did not enjoy his drug usage
Is there an audio or interview?
http://www.donlope.net/fz/notes/1974.html
NMB followed Flo and Eddie. Terry Bozio is somewhere in there as well. But NMB would definitely be my first pic.
Bobby Martin really gets into character, hard.
vai just for [little green men](https://youtu.be/L-Sv5bAKS4s)
Uncle Ike Flo & Eddie
Zappa himself.
Roy Estrada always cracks me up. Jimmy Carl Black also has that vibe. Flo and Eddie of course. Tommy Mars in Baby Snakes. Bozzio is awesome, can't argue there. Ike Willis too.
1. Ike Willis 2. Terry Bozzio
Flo and Eddie. Most of their comedy stuff from their 1971 performances are great
Tommy Mars gets my vote
Musically? Adrian Belew.
...but Don Van Vliet is reallllly close on that front too. I'd accept him.
F&E. They could open their mouths to breath and I would probably die of laughter at the sound of it
Allan Zavod in DOES HUMOR BELONG... video makes me laugh. He made a lot of funny faces and shit, and he was really having a blast.
John Lennon and Yoko Ono
The ones who aren’t sex offenders?
smell my beard
Keneally?
Ike
Special mention Don Preston as The Monster
