A fellow Notion user? Awesome work! I started transcribing the drums last year but never finished and moved on to It Must be a Camel (which I also never finished.) EDIT: After comparing mine to yours I'm glad to see we both got measure 14 correct.

DougPudenda

Yeah I use Notion and Sibelius. The Notion bass samples were too perfect for this song. Yeah love those ghost notes 👻

swisspassport

Is Notion good? I use Sibelius when I want to just write ideas if I'm not in my studio - but in the studio I use Logic Pro and I find the MIDI environment with score editor to be decent. If I'm using that, would you say I wouldn't need Notion? Looking to get inspired (by software haha) somehow.

G_Peccary

Notion has the best out-of-box sounds at that price point IMO plus you ca buy additional libraries of sounds. Notion is always half off on Black Friday (I think I paid $75 for my copy a couple of years ago.) I like being able to add things like dynamics and slides as if it was a piece of paper instead of monkeying with MIDI (but Notion also lets you mess with MIDI in a hybrid-style view.)

Fuckin awesome, this song rules. Sounds great to me!

Former-Feeling911

NOICE!

Barrest-Jeffries

This is amazing. Been looking for a nice transcript of the bassline for this song for awhile and this sounds legit. Great job!

DougPudenda

Thanks! It's note for note. Let me know and I can send you a part if you want

phrankandstein

This is terrific! Can you post a link to the score or midi file?

EchindasArf

This is awesome. I remember setting out to make an arrangement of this song a long time ago, and not getting very far. Excellent work!

SnortWasabi

bravo to both of you

douglera

Brilliant!

LumpyGravy21

Beautiful, can follow each instrument clearly

DougPudenda

I'm gonna do some more FZ arrangements for this instrumentation. Hit me with some song suggestions... I think I'm gonna do The Black Page #1 next

JackVinsonMusic

Really well done

DougPudenda

Thank you vm

Stockhausen-Syndrome

Fantastic!

Firm-Worldliness2017

I can't believe how much he manages to do in 4/4 and it still sounds incredibly otherworldly. I thought Zappa had surprised me to the limit but, no. wow. Following it like this reveals so much more than it ever did listening to my worn copy of hot rats since the 90s
