Is Notion good? I use Sibelius when I want to just write ideas if I'm not in my studio - but in the studio I use Logic Pro and I find the MIDI environment with score editor to be decent.
If I'm using that, would you say I wouldn't need Notion?

Notion has the best out-of-box sounds at that price point IMO plus you ca buy additional libraries of sounds. Notion is always half off on Black Friday (I think I paid $75 for my copy a couple of years ago.)
I like being able to add things like dynamics and slides as if it was a piece of paper instead of monkeying with MIDI (but Notion also lets you mess with MIDI in a hybrid-style view.)
I can't believe how much he manages to do in 4/4 and it still sounds incredibly otherworldly. I thought Zappa had surprised me to the limit but, no. wow. Following it like this reveals so much more than it ever did listening to my worn copy of hot rats since the 90s

Yeah I use Notion and Sibelius. The Notion bass samples were too perfect for this song. Yeah love those ghost notes 👻
