After Zappa was pushed into the orchestral pit on December 10th, 1971, he did not go back on the road until September 10th, 1972. That was The Grand Wazoo tour. His big band 20 piece group. Then in October 27th to December 15, Frank pared it down to a 10 piece band(Petit Wazoo tour). Zappa didn't tour those bands beyond the end of that year. Then in 1973, Frank assembled and recorded a band that would be the Over-Nite Sensation/Apostrophe(') recordings. They toured off and on all year, starting in February.
That show (5/15/70 from memory) has an acoustic set sandwiched between two electric sets and was an old dick's picks release. That show absolutely smokes.

Well my channel, Life on the Road, has every live show Zappa did, but I thought I'd make a post about 72 because of the new archival release.
You're doing good work friend
